Just think Mata needs new scenery. It's not a talent issue but it seems what Jose wants doesn't line up well with how Mata plays. He's not going to MLS there are a lot CL teams that would be interested in Mata. Like Michael Bradley but he would need to have an extremely strong pairing for the "2". I still think Witsel will be bought in the summer from Zenit.I'd love to see a Witsel/Cabaye pairing or something similar.

. At this point there's no reason for him to go Anderlecht. I'm hoping that he can get a low mid table PL loan in 2014-2015 to a team like Aston Villa, Hull, Cardiff, etc just keep him away from Pulis.
-
Would be nice to get him a quality striker. At times he suffers from a lack of top end talent around him. This was evident in the first half v. Soton as he was quite good but he wasn't getting much help. When Oscar and William came on he was getting some help and it was clear that they created openings for him. As good as Hazard is in form he can't always be asked to beat 2-4 men. At this point it may even be worth it to play him in a false 9 position allowing for Oscar William and Mata to play with him.
-
Watch the match again there were several instances where Cole's decisions and defensive positioning were dubious and he was fortunate that Soton wasn't capable of cashing in on those opportunities.
-
Hazard was Motm for me. Oscar and William subs were key as Schurrle was useless and Mata provided next to nothing. Oscar screwed up a brilliant pass from Hazard with that silly dive. Clear why Cole doesn't play he was atrocious. Set prices are still abysmal (This is where DeBruyne would have made a massive difference). Torres is all fur coat and no knickers

Lots of young striking talent and given Benteke's shocking form I'm wondering if Basthuayi is going to get a look at the national team. Granted Belgium is really emphasizing their youth teams so he may just stay with the U21s. Can't forget about Divock Origi at Lille either altough h'es not a striker per se.
-
This will haunt Chelsea just like the complete mishandling of Sturridge. The way this club has handed its youth players is frankly appalling
-
It's really a no brainer. This difference between the two keepers is negligible at best. Courtois has 10+ years ahead of him and has a good chance to be a world #1 versus Cech who is still very good but may only have 3-5 more good years left and his skills will continue to diminish. If you can detach the emotioanl component from Cech as a Chelsea legend then the decision is easy. It's not like there are 21 year old top 10 keepers in world just laying out there for the taking.

Lol come on guys he's not going to Anderlecht. The Belgian league is comprised of teams with lots of young talents with some older guys who for one reason or another weren't able to make it in the big five leagues. It's getting better but De Bruyne is too good for Anderlecht. He could get a loan at 1/2 to 2/3rds of the Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, PL, and La Ligue 1 teams and start. He needs to play on a full time basis and he'd be be best off with a loan/sale to a Wolfsburg/ Sevilla, Heck I'm sure Southampton would take him and start him.
-
Non story ... He missed training and was punished why it needs to discussed is beyond me.
-
His passing percentage is low because he's attempting quite a bit of long passes and through passes. I'm not suggesting he's the world's most accurate passer but I am suggesting that his numbers are low because he's trying to create. Can't compare passing percentages to guys who never take any risks and pass the ball short distances or backwards.

Your father must have recognized Rom from the tank video on YouTube amirite?
-
He could work in the pivot but it would only work with a partner who can run around for ever and is more defense oriented.
-
He needs game time and if that's not coming then he needs to go elsewhere. I do find hilarious that he's being slated because he's not on form having played a few games on a new side in a more difficult league with a new league. It's not possible that he might need a run of games to find his form .... The problem is that he brings a dimension that none of the other AMs bring at nearly the same level and that's crossing. So while Chelsea might be winning games now there will come a time where the box will packed an inability cross with accuracy will cost Chelsea games. But hey I'm sure Chelsea will continue to get goalkeeping gaffes each match for game winners.
-
Yeah sucks I mean he shouldn't be hyped for being Belgium's best player in WC qualifying. At this point I'd love to see him sold because his talents are being wasted. What's even worse he's being attacked because his form isn't top notch despite playing once every 8 games. It's freakin mental how people think infallible Mou is despite his complete mismanagement of the striker position and Lukaku. Like I've said let's see where Chelsea is 3 years from now.
-
He'll be sold and then people here will be pissed when he's leading Dortmund to Champions League wondering why Chelsea sold him in the first place. Let the demagoguery of Mourinho continue ...
-
Hard to show merit when you get no time to play. As I mentioned Kevin is best crosser on Chelsea by wide margin and it's not even remotely close. The stats bear it out. Only Oscar could claim be to be as influential to his National team success and Oscar hasn't been as influential for Brazil. But hey, stay happy wins against lesser opponents and just ignore the fact that Chelsea will get stymied against top quality opponents because there's no width on the pitch.
-
It's not like Kevin is some unknown player or an 18 year old. He's 22 and is the main cog in Belgian NT attack. He needs to start so if Jose is going to dick around then De Bruyne needs to leave. Most assuredly he could help United. He's better than what they have on the wings and Van Persie and Rooney would thrive with him. He's far from perfect but he's someone who can play like crap and tends to get into the rhythm of game the more he plays. Obvoiously Chelsea isn't selling him to United, but he needs to play every day and not be ridiculed by being put with U21 team. This is a point that Mourhino has wrong.
-
KDB is a far better crosser than Mata. KDB isn't a trouble maker but if I was his agent I'd be pressing for a transfer do he can play on a full-time basis. It doesn't seem likely he's going to get what he really needs which is playing at Chelsea.
-
De Bruyne has certainly developed an interesting accent
-
Spot on. The problem is that Chelsea's current strikers are rubbish so naturally people are going to look to Lukaku as the savior especially when he's scoring goals left and right. If he was given the starting role at Chelsea this year he'd score 15+ league goals, but because there are bloated salaries and the fan base is so seditious of results he wasn't going to get the necessary starts to help him grow. The problem here is the failure to off load Torres and put in a proper succession plan. Jose tried to do that with Rooney but it was a no go. Lukaku could be ready to be #1 next year especially if he scores 20 or more league goals which could certainly happen. If Rom was going to start most of Chelsea's games then he should have stayed at Chelsea, Jose decided to go with Fernando, Eto, and Ba so think about that for a second the next time you want to pedestal Jose.
-
Reminds how earlier this season Benteke reportedly had a broken leg..... Turns out there was nothing wrong with him.
-
I can't stop laughing that people a) take what journos have to say seriously, and get so bent out of shape when a play who is loaned to another wants to help his loaner team win. Romelu: I'm glad to be here at Everton, but I don't want us to finish ahead of Chelsea, and I don't want Chelsea to win the PL. I mean this is what some of you think he should say? He's loyal to the club he's playing for which actually means he's taking his loan seriously, as opposed half-assign it and thinking I just want to go through the motions and get back to Chelsea. Oh and for anyone that criticizes players for loyalty you can't have it both ways. Lukaku isn't guaranteed to play at Chelsea so why to each team he plays for with respect. He may end up at one his loan squads.
-
I couldn't judge Kevin's Chelsea career because he's played in less than 3 total matches
-
United is in a world of trouble right now despite winning. Vidic was atrocious and they were very lucky they didn't concede a 2nd and nor 3rd goal. Their midfield is still a massive issue and the center backs Rio and Vidic have gotten old fast. Januzaj was their best player on the pitch by wide margin. As for Januzaj he's a very special talent. People have said he looks a lot like a young Cruyff which is a lot to put on a kid, but he's just very composed on the ball and loves to attack, but also has the sense to know when to pull back.
