  1. If McEachran wasn't even given a chance off the bench against the likes of Swansea or Bolton, no chance of him starting tomorrow. Substitute MAYBE
  2. HAS to be at a Prem club - none of that Vitesse/Hamburg nonsense. Swansea would be good!
  3. It feels like (to me) he let all the rubbish in his head from Liverpool go during the summer.. He is much calmer on the pitch this season. Last season, everytime he'd miss a chance... Just look at his face. And whenever a ball wasn't played to him he'd look pissed off. Couldn't be arsed to chase after anything, close down, etcetc Think he did a lot of soul searching in the summer. Came back refreshed and as if decided to forget the last season and start anew. Some emotion in him as well! The Man Utd game is the best example. The goal - taunted the Utd fans. Love it! The move where he took the ball past 3 Utd players but was saved - screamed at the heavens and nearly tore his shirt off. And of course THE miss. He did have a slow start to the season but remember, as a TEAM, those were pretty horrible matches as well. His improved form coincided with OUR improved passing, movement, etc. And finally, the arrival of Mata and Meireles plus return from injury of Luiz has also helped. It's clear he is very close to them. It's not that he scored 2 goals against a abysmal Genk. But his body language, touch, control is so so much better compared to last season where he wouldn't even have gotten into my pub team based on those attributes.
  4. ^ AVB has said that he will play youngsters in the League Cup all the way so I think Lukaku will be starting
  5. Don't see anything wrong either.. it's not like they're sending him death threats or something. He's a cunt of the highest order. Disgraceful wanker.
  6. Normally I wouldn't have thought that we'd actually end up getting him, but the signing of Mata has made me more optimistic about the way we handle transfers
  7. RAWK is always good for a laugh. He'll have 25 goals by the time we visit Anfield in May which will be good because it will help him end the season with 30
  8. Unfortunately it's difficult for Josh to even get on the bench in the prem now. Out of the 7 subs, the 6 outfield positions are usually taken up by 1 defender, 1 DM (Romeu), 1 midfielder (Meireles/Mikel/Lampard/Ramires) and 3 attackers. Hence he can't even get 20-30 minutes now against the likes of Bolton, Everton after we've established a lead. If we lose 2 of Anelkalouda + Drogba in January, then I could see him getting more opportunities. But with the current squad... it's difficult. I'd like to see him go out on loan. Definitely in the prem. And AVB has to make sure that he will get significant playing time UNLIKE what is happening to Kakuta right now
  9. A couple of his crosses in the first half were quality!
  10. Tricky atmosphere. I hope we can get an earlyish goal. Bunch of thugs going to be out there - both on the pitch and in the stands.
  11. About time they scrapped the shit reserve set-up. It's so poor and must be a major reason of why there are fewer English talents compared to other European countries. The kids start off as being highly rated and talked about as having the potential to be a great player - but somehow they get lost along the way.
  12. Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou has told the club he wants to be guaranteed more game time before he commits his future to Stamford Bridge. Kalou had appeared set to depart West London when his current contract expires next summer but manager Andre Villas-Boas revealed last week that negotiations had begun with the frontman over extending his deal. The parties need to reach an agreement before January if Chelsea are to avoid risking Kalou leaving for nothing, and the 26-year-old has spelt out his terms, chiefly that he wants to be elevated from the fringe status he has endured since joining the club five years ago. "That's what every player wants to have, game time," said Kalou, who once again found himself on the bench in the 5-0 UEFA Champions League thrashing of Genk. "Because if you're not playing every weekend, how are you going to improve yourself? "So it's very important to play to improve and to push yourself to the limit. "That's what I'm looking for." Kalou, who started the first two Premier League games under Villas-Boas but has been in the XI just once since, added: "We're still talking and hopefully the club is putting itself in a good position and me myself as well. "I think we're going to agree on something good. "I want to stay, I want to be here. I like Chelsea. I've had a fantastic five seasons here and won some prizes. "Chelsea are looking forward to the future and I'm still a young player and I think my future can be here." Kalou took full advantage of a 22-minute cameo last night to net his first goal of the season. The strike capped Chelsea's equal biggest Champions League victory as they showed no mercy to their injury-ravaged ravaged opponents to stay top of Group E. Asked if Genk were one of the worst sides he had faced, Kalou said: "You cannot take away the good performance of Chelsea. "We played good football and we scored very early, so that gave us also the opportunity to create more chances. "So I cannot say we played the worst team." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11668_7252198,00.html
  13. Difficult decision between Meireles and Torres for me, but went for the latter. Great movement, enthusiasm, touch, etc. Pity that he couldn't convert the early shot that hit the post and/or the shot that led to Kalou's tap in.
  14. ^ You mean 'gone' as in unable to play at the top level anymore or left the club?
  15. The contract thing is probably just so that we can make some $$$ when we sell him. He's the only one of Anelkalouda + Drogba that has any decent resale value
  16. "The amount of times he has used the media to beg the club is embarrassing" Yes! I have been thinking this for so, so long. The fact that he has still not been offered anything is hopefully a sign that the club don't intend to give him a new contract.
  17. What's he doing at a Professional Players Federation national conference?
  18. He already has 4 goals in 4 starts (in the prem). Well on course to get at least 15 goals this season. Team performance wise he's getting better as well. If Torres can continue his form, the front three of Mata - Torres - Sturridge will be deadly.
  19. Both Lamps and Mikel were good but Mata was just different class
  20. Haven't seen Milner's goal yet but Chris Eagles' goal was pretty decent
