  1. Talent wise theirs not much in it. Neymar is more known at the moment. Since that Scotland game last year he has gathered a worldwide audience and with his incredible skills it was inevitable. Not to mention the South American championship and the clubs that have publically pursued him. Lucas, in Brazil is very big - the main three golden boys being: Neymar, Lucas and Ganso. But if you want some sort of similarities to footballers today I'd say Neymar is like Ronaldo and Lucas is like Messi. In terms of how they play, Neymar like Ronaldo does all the skills and Lucas just glides passed opponents in a strikingly similar fashion to Messi. Just like Ronaldo, Neymar is more boisterous and Lucas, like Messi, seems more humble. i.e. just like Ronaldo, Neymar will get a lot of haters. I think like Ronaldo, Neymar will lift off first but Lucas will definetly catch up. Put it this way I back both of them to win Baloon D'or at least once in their career.
  2. Thanks, not too difficult tbh though, a 5 minute thing
  3. Pwahahha is this some sort of sick joke. I don't want that person anywhere near Chelsea football club. What an absolutely ridiculous rumor.
  4. Fernando Llorente Torres hatrick. 2-3
  5. Looked good today again but still pulls wide too often. I know he's lacking a good source of service but he needs to try and be more effective in his work rate and maybe a little more static. If he tries a game where he restrains himself from going wide, maybe he'll find our ineffective providers actually being able to give him the service a striker needs. If he's constantly on the wings he's only going to be watching the balls fly into the box.
  6. Rules of the book, it was a penalty. Soft but he didn't even go for the ball but just shoved Sturridge. In the modern day of football you're rarely going to see someone stay on their feet.
  7. So is Ferdinand going to be a shortsighted attention-seeking child and refuse Terry's handshake, or is he going to take the worlds advice. Remember what Sepp Blatter said? IMO Ferdinand is trying to get all the attention he can get, living in the shadows of Rio all these years after all. Handshakes represent so many things, a handshake is sometimes called for after two people have an argument. It is sometimes used to repair friendships and start the road recovery. Nobody can force him to do it, but I do think it is very important he takes it.
  8. Very true. ATM as things stand Im very content with AVB's targets. He said the club are after De Bruyne, which he said was fair enough. But, by the sounds of it, AVB is following two players: Hazard (semi-confirmed) & Lucas (100% confirmed). Two world class players, coveted by only the best. I'm really happy that we are not lowering the quality of our targets like Liverpool have done (only served to further their decline) "Aim for the stars and maybe you'll reach the sky"
  9. 38 pages, and this looks like its never going to end. http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/16759691.stm Some "fans" are just a disgrace, plaine embarassing.
  10. Just saw that Hope thats BS for the good of Chelsea. In regard to this new twist in the Willian saga - not sure but something tells me he might not be lying this time. Either way I've always thought it would be highly unlikely that we were going to get both Hazard/Lucas & Willian. So I suppose this could be good, surlong as we DO pursue Hazard & Lucas
  11. Goal posted an report claiming we are after him and may still move in the summer, they also say that Guardia was the source but I couldn't find anything regarding Lucas posted on the Guardian. The only thing I could find is that Dail Fail link that has been posted and also this: http://www.telegraph...the-summer.html
  12. The kaka similariites and Brazillian backround is the big factor. IMO Feruz has shown the most potential at a mere age of 16/17. Incredible really.
  13. 20 years ago, lol your probably right, I wasn't born I'm just talking about more recently. But like I said, I have no doubt Madrid do the same shit and have done the same shit. Just in recent years, Barca have been the worst perpetrators IMO.
  14. I didn't deny it, I said they both do it (which I highlighted). It's clear their both at fault, but I've noticed it to be more prevelant in Barca's game and it has helped them in huge matches which is why I brought up some of their infamous UCL matches. I just think to exclusivley judge a team in one league is nonsensical, at the end of the day make a judgement from their football in all their competitions. Don't exempt them from UCL, just because it will give them some statistical leeway and sort of equal them to Madrid in their cheating levels. If you look at them in all their competitons you'd be ignornt to assume that Madrid are worse. I mean they won the UCL in 2009 because of one of the worst robberies in the history of football. "beautiful football is an effective masking agent and the brilliance of players such as Lionel Messi and Xavi has allowed the arrogance to continue unchecked.'
  15. That's redunant. Diving and cheating in the UCL and not in La liga, copa del rey? A cheetah never changes its spots my friend. And also, I don't think the majority of the people here ignore la liga. La liga fanatics may probably know its a 2 team race but that doesn't mean they're not going to watch it, just like many posters here. Competiveness isn't enough to ignore football, I've watched some brilliant games recently between teams who would be demolshed by Barca or Madrid. Yes its definetly not as followed as the EPL, since we're all Chelsea fans on a Chelsea forum, but afterall we're all football fans and the chances are we'll all tune into an Valencia, Villareal, A. Madrid, Sevilla etc. game if it's on TV. Their are great players in la liga that don't play in Barca or Madrid. The fact that we signed up to this forum kind of tells me everybody here is more than just a casual football fan.
  16. Well I do watch La liga, so stop saying stuff like "most of you don't care about anything but clasico" and making assumptions that none of us watched la liga before Mourinho, because thats false and slightly patronising. Real have come out worse in the last few classico's, it's a mixture of lack of clinical finishing, sheer subservience at times but also poor refereeing decisons. How are Madrid 10 times worse than Barca with their histronics? sometimes decisions should be given like Diarra's yesterday (should be red) but the way they flock round the referee is not on. Quite honestly both teams behaviour is pathetic in the Classico, but generally speaking, Barca dive and cheat the referee far more than Madrid in their matches. It's their for all to see. Real do it too (IMO nowhere near to the extent of Barca) but don't delude yourself in thinking Barca are any better. I just find it rather bemusing, especially as a Chelsea fan, who has experienced poor Wolfgang Stark and Overbo decisions in our recent meetings with Barca, seem to feel otherwise.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uc98GG842P8 Comprehensive highlights, has all of the chances etc. That's if you cba to download them.
  18. He doesn't deserve to play football. But generally we all know of the Barca antics. I'll never forget Busquets getting Motta sent off who subsequently missed the UCL final, that was just so disgraceful beyond words.
  19. You really dislike Madrid don't you? I don't want to go into details but Barca have amazed, played beautifully, but cheated and dived their ways to success with players like Busquets and Alves forgetting they're playing football. When they play their football its a joy to watch but when their not theyre probably rolling round the floor conning a ref or two. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mydqu3IUpoU It's not hard to see.
  20. Wednesday, 6th of May 2009. Chelsea 1-1 Barcelona. Never forget.
