  1. This will be an absolute crime to football if he moves to PSG. I love watching this guy, and all Milan fans seem very strongly against him going anywhere. Why don't we pounce on his 'breakdown' in communication with Allergi. Honestly, in the past he's spoke of his admiration to Chelsea - albeit when Ancelotti was at the helm, but Pato as a human being seems driven by football over money. It seems as though Milan are trying to cash in - but with: Our Brazillian contingent, attacking play, need for a versatile attacker like him - and not to mention our money, we pertain a great chance... I hope Ancelotti doesn't go to PSG, Pato seems to hold him in great deference.
  2. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eee0iKUrUVo Mata on Fulham
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xWGiGvAfSM Mata sneakily punching Torres for not scoring.
  4. This guy is IMMENSE, I've seen him play a fair amount of games and he reminds me of Messi, he doesn't do to much skills just seems to glide past players using his pace and technique. He's also got a pretty good build (I would say), height-wise he's like Messi, pretty short (not really a problem though). I see Neymar as the Ronaldo and Lucas as the Messi of Brazil. I'm surprised we actually put in a bid tbh, we weren't being linked much - according to the source they are going to reject all 3 bids from Chelsea, Inter &..... the scousers (They think they can get anyone!) And we were going to get Neymar for like 17mill originally or something like that (Stupid Pele), idk what people say even if he didn't play immense I'd say that would definitely have been worth it (Less money that Liverpool payed for DOWNING).
  5. Funny shit... only Liverpool fans would have the arrogance to post this and get it that many views. Hilarious!
  6. Different type of player completely and just no. Compare him to Johnson or even Nasri if you want. Loaned to getafe I think if Madrid go for him we're in trouble - Zidane being his idol and all. But he's astute and always comes across as player vying for playing time and a good future. Why else would he express an open liking for Arsenal? That's why I think we are in a good situation with what we can offer Eden: - Attacking player perfect for AVB's philosophy - like with Mata it could provide very attractive - we're in need of a Robben like winger to provide our strikers with some proper service - In essence he's therefore guaranteed time. - We have Lukaku and thibaut courtois which could act as a comforting factor for him. We sometimes forget he is only 20! Maybe Cole can give us a hand - Unlike Arsenal we're willing to dish out the money, Lille have already made it clear they want as much money as possible. - Young player who seems an exemplary AVB target. - By unfortunately missing out on Varges, Hazard may have more attention - Neymar rumors echoing again, but with amid Madrid and Barca interest his capture seems more of a dream. *Sighs* can't believe we could've got him a year ago for what now would've been a bargain and a half. People may fail to see it but AVB and his attacking aura has definitely brought something. 'Boring, boring chelsea' is the past, even if it's not beautiful yet our future is looking it. Slowly but gradually it is happening. Look at the pieces in Luiz, Romeu, Mata, Sturridge, Piazon, Mceachran, Thibaut etc. That's why we must give AVB his time and not halt it at this critical time of transition. It'd make this difficult period redundant.
  7. I saw that - just ridiculous, but hey what if we could get him a few months later for half the price . But the Tevez issue complicates things, Pato is the Milan sweetheart and most fans are strongly against him leaving. He loves Milan and they love him, but their seem to be accruing frailties in his 'unsellability' which we must really pounce on. They need the money.
  8. As much as we can find a justification in Pastore where could we be as a club with him today? For PSG he has not been too shabby I tell you, he started off like a house on fire but sustained a little injury. Wiki have his record at 11 games and 6 goals. Mata and Sturridge will not suffice for creativity, with Pastore I coud bet you we'd have got a few more goals by now.
  9. When will we learn I know Pato has his injury niggles but for me he'd make an impact of equal magnitude to that of Aguero. He has all the ingredients to be one of the top 4 players in the world. I know some people are forwarding the option of strikers like Cavani, but a poacher without a source is a toothless tiger. A tiger like Pato can work without a soucrce, but with one, is a lion. Look at Aguero at City and most aptly, el fenomeno of Brazil.
  10. I said an equally clinicial striker I'd love Higuain but I've always said Pato would be my preferred choice. Ronaldo-esque (Brazillian) who can do more than score and find the net with an individual moment of magic. Aguero was such a miss
  11. Could be useful indeed but we should be looking forward. Benayoun was devastating tonight but he is the past, heck his Chelsea jibes (arguably inadvertent) solidified it. Nevertheless Benayoin is an exemplary example as to why we should NEVER, EVER loan our players to a rival club. He got them 3 points last week and 1 tonight - we need be more adept in the stratagems of the transfer market.
  12. Exactly I don't think our pursuit for Higuain will deter our search for a winger in the mould of Hazard for example. We are lacking a clinical striker like RVP that can be difference between a point or three on occasions.
  13. Not to sure its an on and off site but at least there are growing links.
  14. I don't think anyone has posted this: http://blogs.bettor.com/Chelsea-looking-to-make-a-move-for-Eden-Hazard-a120469
  15. Higuan would be such a good asset for us, his goalscoring record speaks for himself. And his goalscoring record according to wiki: Real Madrid 142 (81) If it is for the rumored 22million than we'd be pretty silly to pass up such an opportunity. Bearing in mind Players like Carroll go for £35mill, and Downing goes for £20mill'.
  16. Firstly just thought I'd post this BBC interview with Boas which has AVB saying that this 140mill' thing is a lie. Here's the full link below. http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/16332860.stm In regards to the topic I'd definitely say we need 2-3 players, of those we would need at least one true WC player. By that I mean a Hazard/Pato/Higuan/Cavani/Lucas R, nowadays we lack that game changing player (Lampard, Torres etc are all only possible game changers on their day) Teams like Barca, Real, AC a filled with them I'd say we probably only have Mata & (Sturridge), which sometimes just isn't enough. We obviously need a CB with Alex going, and it seems likely that it will be Cahill (in my opinion he is very solid, but we could spend less and buy a potentially more talented player from abroad - like what we did with Romeu) And obviously we lack a midfielder who can make things happen on a regular basis. I'm not sure exactly who this should be tbh, Modric is a very good player no doubt, but I don't think we should dish out the 40+million that's being quoted. Moutinho is possibly a better option being a whole year younger and for almost half the price. But perhaps even better than those, I'd like to see us go for someone on the level of Eriksen for example - young, talented and definitely one which will bring a higher future value if needed.
  17. Exactly, I do think we'll finish in the top 4 but we should use our current position in the UCL for sure. It's disgusting to think that this January Arsenal will now probably be above us now! It's pretty damn clear a defender is just one of few problems. Attacking wise we're desperate for speed, flair and creativity. Yes we have Mata and Sturridge but that will not suffice. If we want to get by we'll go for Krasic and Rodwell but if we want to aim high, and go for number one we need to be going for the likes of Hazard, Pato, Higuain. As much as people say we dodged a bullet with Pastore I think he'd be perfect for our philosophy. In terms of ability and creativity he's got bags of it. Whenever I've tuned into PSG he's played pretty damn good too...
  18. Cech may be solid, but the blunt fact is he need's a genuine no.2 to compete with him for the GK spot. He's reminding me of of Van Der Sar in his last few years, prone to mistakes but generally solid. I do think we should recall Thibaut because if we look at the facts Cech has made some serious point-dropping mistakes - Arsenal, Leverkuson, Liverpool, Wigan, Sp*ds and apparently today (haven't had a chance too see it yet) Maybe if he had been on the form of Krul/Hart we wouldn't have leeked some of the goals we have. He does have the knack of making outstanding saves, as a world-class keeper it's inevitable - but with the utmost respect to Petr I don't see him saving us with those right to left super saves nowadays. Watching City, Newcastle and even Arsenal I've seen their keepers save 2 points or even 1 at times. Back in the days we had Carvalho, Terry and Cech working as a defensive wall under Jose! We don't have a defensive shape as of yet, and Cech is by no means of his Jose form.
  19. If it makes you happy I do normally dislike their videos Thought it'd be a nice share for Balotelli thread. Nah not City, I think it's some of their players: Aguero, Silva more specifically - (players that we thought would soon be Chelsea players)
  20. I guess Swansea would be 2nd best. Best would be him playing for Chelsea! I know he picked up a niggle but has clearly got the creative talent we're yearning. Nevertheless a loan to boost confidence and playing times is a no brainier- especially if he remains on the bench here. Swansea over Villa is definitely best.
  21. Add Balotelli getting angry with a cake too the list
  22. What's our history to go on lol? We never signed a Mexican before Ulises Davilla? With AVB at the helm we're making a lot of changes and I see no reason as to why Piazon won't be given an opportunity to break through.
  23. It's just a no win with Terry. We look at the photo as a standard photo but the majority of the comments are lambasting it as a "sick" and "contrived photo". Heck at least we aren't sinking to Suarez's level and literally going on an expedition to uncover the prehistoric photos of him with some black children. It's just cringe-worthy man but Liverpool and their fans seem to be the no.1 proponents. Do they know they're alienating most people?
  24. I wouldn't say he's average he's pretty decent, the English media do of course over-hype 'their' players (which is the norm) but I'd say 7mill isn't too shabby, although I would prefer us targeting the likes of Hummels and Subotic. Or even young prospects from abroad which would definitely be cheaper than 7 mil'. That said AVB has been pretty good in the transfer department so I have no reason to doubt him.
