We took the lead through a fluke goal, and survived with a clean sheet till that point even with our best defenders Terry and Ivanovic absent. If you were dead sure of a win before the match, then I can't console you.
Agreed. Torres' positioning was piss poor today and was the main reason why our attacks looked clueless in the first half. Don't get me wrong, he had a lot of good touches on the ball but he just doesn't get into the box often enough.
Its the university's call really..some places call it aeronautical/aerospace and might have an additional course for astronautics..Generally, aeronautical refers to flights within the atmosphere and astronautical refers to flights outside of it...In aerospace you're allowed to take courses related to both..
Di Matteo: Drogba and Torres can work (Source:http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/12/03/20/SOCCER_Chelsea_Di_Matteo.html&TEAMHD=soccer&BID=165)
Its bad considering he'll be played out wide for England as well, and he can't pull stunts like that during the Euros. BUT, you also have to remember we were playing against championship opposition in a knockout fixture and were already 2 up before half time...I think the majority of fans were disappointed because he prevented Torres' from breaking his scoring duck earlier.
True, whatever people say about Sturridge, he can still make an impact for the team with just a few explosive runs... But, I suspect the City defense will be watching him more guardedly in this match, after what happened in the reverse fixture.
I think rotation makes more sense than pairing them up....even if Daniel is the villain of the moment, he can still contribute to the team with his explosive pace.
True, but he's also going to be playing wide for England and that's not what the manager wants to see. Small mistake in Sturridge's eyes, but for Torres...smh,
