Hmm...I was going through the thread, and there was a Chelsea fan who introduced himself in a friendly way, yet 2 out of 3 of their members replied with a very condescending tone. I' haven't seen stuff like that on this thread.

Dempsey's goal scoring stats are pretty impressive this season...15 from 32 PL games, if I'm correct....Those are Lampard-esque numbers...

Well said. And JT has said something along those lines as well. This isn't about revenge, we have a job to do and Barcelona are just in our way. Simple as that.

I was talking about Barcelona the team. I don't care about their fanboys or the crooning media. I'm pretty sure once this team starts to falter, all these extraneous characters will melt into the background. As far as the team goes I'll agree with only two of those points you mentioned: the Fabregas affair and the playacting. The playacting is something I can't stand because that sort of team doesn't need to resort to such tactics to win games. However, its something a lot of players, even our own, do in matches. We often let it slide when it comes to the bigger sides.

Call me biased towards Drogba or whatever, but the guy can't be put into the same category as the other two. He still has a BIG role to play for us this season and cannot be left on the bench for ALL the remaining matches. In case you didn't notice he was heavily involved in today's winner as well, and would've been on the scoresheet were it not for a few good saves.

I wouldn't go that far...performed well today, though.

I hate it when the fans boo their own players... Granted Sturridge was terrible today, but those fans aren't helping him like that..Let the manager do the criticizing.

But shouldn't there a be a reason for revenge? If you listen to JT, even he says he's almost forgotten about that match.. The good thing though there seems to be a lot more people hoping Chelsea can succeed this time around, even if they don't expect it. I think this time we won't hear any nonsense about "a victory for football" or similar bullshit.

I don't see why this match should be seen as an opportunity for revenge....A few refereeing decisions cost us the match in 2009, not Barca. They just did their job, and did it well considering they were reduced to ten men. What I want to see is a testament to our history with them: Closely fought matches, and exciting ones at that. To tell the truth, there are very few quality right-backs out there right now...And a lot of the good ones are out of form...

Imagine if we did do that, and he flopped as well...we wouldn't even be able to say: "Form is temporary,. class is forever". Still.... I guess he wouldn't be labelled a 50 mill flop...

Wigan is coming after two back-to-back wins home and away, so I wouldn't want to leave too many key players outside the starting line-up...Drogba and Sturridge should start.

Sour grapes from Jorge...can understand if he feels a bit cheated, but that was more due to the inefficiency from his side. He really has no say in our clash against Barcelona, after his side crashed out. in fact, he should be happy that he didn't have to suffer further embarrassment at the hands of Drogba and Sturridge over the two legs.

Started blowing hot and cold again yesterday...I still can't stand the way he positions himself. There were quite a few instances where Mata and even Kalou were looking to play him in, but he halted his run abruptly. He MUST get into the box more often.

A massive LOL at those who're hoping for a Milan win...do you really think Milan is going to roll over after they beat one of the greatest teams in the past few years? Face it, if you're hoping Milan can beat Barca, then you might as well hope that we can do it if we face them. First things first though,we still have to clash with Benfica.
