Everyone seems to be going on and on about managers winning battles over player power,etc..but I don't think its simple as that..there seems to be serious problems with fitness (reason why more than half the squad can't win any 50-50's) and tactics...Even if RDM can give some of sort of inspiration he won't be able to do jack unless he employs the right tactics and line-ups.

The only way I see Mourinho returning is if he already has made pre-agreement with Roman..no way he's going to waltz over to fill the hotseat in summer just because its free

Hardly any surprise after seeing those vultures looming around in the background during the past few games. This was clearly the reason why the players were lacking any sort of spirit recently. They knew it was going to happen. The only way this season could get worse is if that fat waiter comes over here.

With all due respect to other managers and their ideas, I feel the only person that can get players to bend to his will is Mourinho. Don't know if we're going to get him back but I hope this is one thing the club can achieve this season. This club just doesn't do long-term.

I have to blame the board for not giving AVB more support...I think the team feels that their manager is close to getting the sack, and have thus lost a lot of their motivation. Why else would the performance levels (from everyone including Mata and Ramires) drop so drastically over two months?

But the team as a whole wasn't this bad till Dec...I'm thinking our board is to take the blame here. There's no vote of confidence from them for the manager. I think deep down the entire squad thinks that AVB will get the sack. That's why none of them, Mata and Ramires included, seem to be fighting anymore (apart from Sturridge who wants to win a Euro ticket).

Flop of the day: Midfield minus Essien. What the heck are they for, if the front 3 have to do everything themselves?

Hope Drogba can create a chance for himself rather than for someone else in the 2nd half..
