  1. We should put Bosingwa at CB. Plays very well when he's out of position.
  2. Happy B'day!. Am going to eat a cake on your behalf :eyebrows:
  3. But Berbatov was just sitting on the bench most of the time...he was more of a passenger rather than a player for them this season. Irregardless, I do have to ask this: Isn't there a signing-on fee involved?
  4. Two good points. When we faced them back in 2009 we let them have only one shot on target. But then again Messi was a different animal, and so too were Essien and Bosingwa. Its for this reason that point 2 you mentioned becomes more important. We have to look to score at least one goal, as keeping a clean sheet at Camp Nou will be difficult. Someone like Torres/Sturridge to burst through their high line on a counter could prove useful.
  5. I would rest him personally, but he isn't called a box-to-box midfielder for nothing.
  6. Hope he takes the past few weeks in a positive sense and translates it onto the pitch.
  7. But giving an extension, just to sell a player (never mind if its Drogba) at the first chance? I don't know if its right, but its certainly unethical.
  8. Sometimes I think we have more financial analysts than fans on this forum...
  9. Danny DeVito has been tweeting about tonight's game: "Didier Drogba's newest fan. Holy sh*tballs."
  10. I I don't know if we can prevent them from scoring this time, but we should look to score as well... I don't think sitting back and defending for the whole 90 mins will keep them out... The ref at Camo Nuo will be under greater pressure.
  11. That's my opinion as well, but Jimmy Floyd has an interesting opinion (Its from Goal.com):
  12. The only way I see him playing in the centre is alongside someone...Otherwise he needs to be like David Villa or Anelka, and be part of a mobile front 3, switching from the centre to the wing and back.
  13. True,..that's another thing I can't forget...
  14. I'm getting really psyched for this game, and a bit too sentimental..I guess the after effects from our last confrontation still haven't gone. Really went through a swirl of emotions on that night.
  15. There are few strikers of repute that are out there right now, and none of them come with small transfer fees. Of course, the way I see it may not be the way Roman sees it, so who knows?
  16. It is not paranoia. I just doubt whether the club can get to pick and choose someone to replace him, with all the financial restrictions coming into place.
  17. Cavani's an interesting player, but yes Lukaku shouldn't be overlooked. If Romelu has it in him, he could save this club a lot of money.
  18. He's our highest ever scorer in this competition. Would definitely love to seem him lift it with us.
  19. I'm well aware of why he has to leave soon. I just don't know if we should do so without knowing if someone can take up his mantle once he does leave. For instance Man Utd had Rooney to take over from Ronaldo, Barcelona had Messi take over from Ronaldinho, but do we have someone of that level? Arsenal never got anyone to fill in for Henry, (at least until RVP when he became fit for an entire season) and well, we can see the results of that.
  20. Sometimes I just can't believe that we're about to let Drogba just walk away from the club. You don't get a player like that too often. I still remember how John Terry remarked at the start of the 2009 season, that Christiano Ronaldo leaving Manchester United and us holding onto Didier would prove key. When it comes to these players, what separates them from the rest is not just the skill and the ability, its their attitude. From the current crop, Danny Sturridge looked like something special at the start of the season, but I'm not so sure at the moment. He may step up in the future, but who's going to be our big game player next season?
