  1. Haha, even that's an understatement
  2. On the flip side, Guardiola will now have to focus on all competitions next season. more distractions..It might have been easier for him to settle in by just focusing on the league alone
  3. With this season Ozil has broken the record with the most number of chances created in a single season, with 146. It was previously held by Super Frank with 134 (during 2008-2009). Lampard holds another spot in the top 10 with the 2009--2010 season (114). Fabregas also features frequently in the top 10. 4. Not to mention the fact that no other brand has as much of a global reach compared to Adidas/Nike
  5. Caution. The level of sarcasm in this post is so high, that it might be enough to go over some people's heads
  6. Last nights performance was more than just him showcasing his return to form... He put in a lot of hard work, tracking back several times to win the ball and setup the attack from deep.
  7. Our marquee players in the past decade, Drogba and Hazard, have both been sponsored by Nike. Would be nice if our new kit deal is with them
  8. Higuain as a second choice to Costa, or to rotate, or to even play together with Costa - Yes Replacing Costa with Higuain and keeping second rate players as backup. - You're having a laugh.
  9. Congratulations on your win Leicester, but I sincerely hope we lay the smackdown on you this Sunday.
  10. Matic was pretty decent in the first half...but really lazy with his passing in the second. Seemed to take his foot off the gas when it looked like Liverpool were also not pushing that hard.
  11. Who are the people commenting may I ask? Sounding absolutely dejected when Drogba opens the scoring and squealing in delight when Torres equalized... EDIT: Oh, just saw its Liverpool TV. nvm
  12. I suppose the only silver lining is that he doesn't have to play the last game giving a guard of honour to some other team at the Bridge... all the same...disappointing.
  13. IMO, one of those youth players that never should have been loaned away and should have been retained like they are doing with RLC now... Sure, they would barely get a few minutes to play, but it would have been lot better than stagnating in a lesser team.
  14. Haha, not disagreeing with the fact that Torres wasn't helpful...my point was more about how the midfield fails to spot the runs made by strikers like Costa
  15. I wonder how players like Cattermole get away with it when the fouls are clearly cynical...
  16. Not only that, we can also talk about the chances he doesn't get during a single game... Several times during a game you can see him making a run behind the defense but the midfield fails to spot him on time....it was one of the reasons that Torres was also largely ineffective here, although El Nino had a bunch of problems of his own
  17. The one against Manonne was just an ordinary finish thwarted by a great save...I don't think he deserves too much flak especially after a peach of a finish to put us in front. The real inexcusable thing in this entire match was the fact that we conceded 2 goals within 5 minutes, despite cruising during the match up till that point.
  18. IMO, it was the deflection off Terry and Mikel's half arsed clearance that cost us the game. I'm sorry, if our attacking players are always expected to compensate for the defense leaking at least two goals every match...then you can't expect them to do much. Even Hazard who was really electric when we were 2-1 up seemed to have given up after their winner.
  19. I suppose his goal today was a total fluke, right? We need another striker , but not to replace Costa. Seriously don't see the need for exaggeration
  20. Wait...they can still play JT in the final game against Leicester right?
  21. Well unlike Azpilicueta, Willian didn't lose his man every other match to leak in goals. As good as Cesar has been, he's had some real shockers this season. I wouldn't want anyone from our back four to get an award this season. Individually and collectively they've been a sham. EDIT: But I get your point though. Compared to the players that were part of the PFA team, Willian himself has hardly done anything that stands out.
  22. Haha.,tbh...Torres is genuinely playing well right now. Several levels above the Torres that joined us.
  23. Haha, I was thinking I was the only one who thought the same...Not sure why they went for that background pattern... Also, that red 'Y' in front of Yokohama has got to go,...or at least made white like in the previous pics.
  24. He got a few chances in Carlo's last season in 2010-2011, after which he was shipped off on loan and never heard from again. Beautiful first touch and a nice pass for a 17 yr old was pretty good for me,.at least that was something he could have built upon. On the other hand comparing with RLC, I'm not saying he's a bad player, no.. But apart from his physique, what really are his strongest qualities? I'll admit I haven't seen much of him outside of our senior squad games, but based on these games I haven't seen anything in his game that particularly stands out.
