  1. Azpi, playing on the left hand side and getting tired after starting every game is not much better, yes. Cole should be playing more, now that's he getting sufficient rest.
  2. Yep. Too bad Fabregas didn't get the point...he might if Chelsea face Barca this year
  3. Not exactly disagreeing with your post,...was just agreeing with TOPTB's point about us not being able to make the most of the chances created
  4. Precisely. We often don't take most of our chances during a match, and this is what prompts Mourinho to become cautious when we're protecting a 1-0 lead againtst West Brom, or say even a 3-0 one against UTD. Eliminate the defensive frailties with a very stable back 4, add a reliable goalscorer upfront, and we could see a drastic change in the team's play and of course, the results
  5. This. It would have been nice to mix things up just to see how City would cope against a different set of players than what they are used to from Chelsea. Instead they just had to deal with same, but more fatigued versions of Eto'o, Hazard and Willian from last week.
  6. I don't see what's the point in questioning why people did/didn't blame this/that player. Fact is Luiz had a stinker yesterday, and as a big fan of his, I'm disappointed at how this club season has panned out for him so far.
  7. Unspectacular? No Problem Unspectacular AND regularly makes mistakes that lead to goals? BIG problem
  8. Malouda and Cole, with Lampard coming in from the middle....Chelsea used to have such a powerful left hook!
  9. Have to admit,I feel exactly the same. I thought Cole has looked much brighter in the few chances that he has been given in 2014, and really thought he could do job for us in this match. Cesar tries really hard, but I think the lack of squad rotation from Mourinho could result in him in having a burn out like Willian and Hazard had in the 2nd half
  10. I've never questioned his ability, but I really have to question his commitment this season. He didn't seem to have his head in it this entire game,...When you look at the level of focus he has shown so far, its no wonder he doesn't have a single goal to his name this season
  11. Brilliant marking on Nasri for the second goal.
  12. I guess you must have put Mikel and Lampard in microscopic.
  13. Can someone tell me more about his style of play? Because of his nationality, I keep thinking about Gallas and how he played for us...
  14. Yep, would rather prefer Torres start a cup game instead. We need to keep the momentum going and make use of the chemistry Eto;o has with the 3 attackers
  15. I've felt that he now seems to take charge of the back 4, when it comes to attacking the ball and taking it out of defense... When Luiz and Cahill used to pair up in the past, there was always some indecisiveness from the two, resulting in a clueless defense. Now they do look like a proper CB pairing, and that's a relief when JT needs to be rested.
  16. Really, good...and his close control is a joy to behold at times. Very much like the old Eto'o minus the deadly finishing.
  17. Its obviously Cahill's partnership with JT, that's causing pundits to ask for the latter to come out of international retirement. Hope JT takes Carragher's advice and just focuses on prolonging his club career.
  18. Yep, exactly the same sentiments here. Remember how Drogba was almost a villain at one point? The thing is, you can't forever live in the transfer windows. You have to look at player performances each season, and I have to say in 2013, Torres has been solid even if unspectacular. The goal count looks really mediocre, but its not as if our manager is expecting any of his strikers to hit 20+. He knows he doesn't have a complete forward, so he keeps rotating.
  19. Good. squad strength will be important in the coming weeks.
  20. Yep, it'll be hard to find a manager that can cater to the style of play they had under Rodgers and Laudrup.
  21. Incredibly agile, and he's a giant.
  22. Yep counter-attacks and plenty of room to maneuver,..if he was fit, Mourinho would have started him for sure.
