If that's the case, Mikel has more than earned the right of captaincy

Fair play to Cech....am just grateful that he came on and played the way he would have when he was undisputed no.1.
-
Funny thing is... after all that, the both of them became best pals, and started going to Oktoberfests together. Wonder if we'll ever see Mourinho and Wenger do something similar..
-
I wonder if its ever possible to change that aspect of his game at this stage...should be wired into his instincts right now. I think he will forever play the role of the "covering" defender....making that last ditch tackle, or last ditch clearance
-
On a side note... Martin Tyler doesn't really like Chelsea, does he? When he Lampard scored he was like "Oh YESS!!!.." .and then followed by subdued "no.." seemed pretty jubilant after they had equalized. Not the first match too, when I've seen him do something like this

Some people need to calm down.. Draw away from home against a tile rival, and playing defensive football? Good, because that has been the objective always, and that's what happened last season. I don't care about playing against ten men...Playing against ten men in their own stadium is always a challenge. The people who started watching football yesterday can go on bleating about how City "dominated" the game...but the only thing I will take away from it is that Lamps scored against us. But from looking at his face, he was probably just as upset as I was about it..

I'm not too worried...Cahill is neither performing above or below expectations. He always has had a tendency to back away from players that run at him (like Aguero) ...and this is nothing new. The reason I'm not worried is that Mourinho has gone away from the system that expects to be water-tight at the back, to an expansive, creative and riskier style of play. That's why there's not so much onus on keeping clean sheets. Because, we are creating more chances, and unlike last season...we are finishing most of them. Unfortunately this did not happen on Wednesday's game, because Costa didn't start and everyone else was wasteful

Good guess, mate!

Haha..don't think there's any doubt about that. But all the same, am happy for it...hope it gives football more exposure than it already has in India, and consequently improve Indian football itself.
-
And guess who did it twice in the past...don't know what they're trying to convey from that article.

In an age of media vultures, cut-throat social groups...Rio expects Terry to say one thing to him and Anton, and another thing to the courts? Don't know why he's made it such a big deal, especially as Anton never heard Terry say anything to him personally.
-
On a side note, its good that United have got these new signings BEFORE facing any of City, Liverpool or Everton. Would have been disappointed if one of the other top teams had already faced and taken advantage of United in their weakened state...
-
Hazard ain't messing around this season...when the rest of the team looked to be dropping their heads after the first Swansea goal, Eden kept driving forward...If it weren't for his tenaciousness I don't think we would have equalized in the first half
-
Played with a poor tempo at the start of the match, and it was no surprise to see him give the ball away for their first goal. Much better in the second half though, with Ramires also brought on to keep up the pace alongside him. Needs to keep it going that way.

Hope Gallas doesn't read your post

Pogba and Matic were awesome today...standout performers
-
With the squad that we have right now, I'm glad he gets the odd game once in a while to maintain some match fitness...if Matic weren't able to start, we would have no one in a similar mold for a holding mid, now that David Luiz has left.
-
Haha..but are you sure about that part?
-
He kinda looks like Thierry Henry's kid brother or something... Of course, he was once touted as the next Henry before he came to the PL. He may not be the pure goal-threat that Ba was, but I think his movement with the ball is far more suited to our team.

Off-topic: But you can always train to do otherwise right? Like Rafael Nadal who's right-handed naturally but trained himself to be proficient with his left.
-
Now that that cat's out of the bag...
-
Yeah...guess it depends a lot on how our defense holds it together in the coming months. If having Matic and Fabregas to control the midfield isn't sufficient to play with a lower block (as Mourinho calls it), then we can expect more changes in that back 4.

Haha...Drogba didn't even flinch when the water was poured on him. Still tough as an ox...
