Fabregas and Lampard. Both played for rival clubs at some point to improve their chances at winning silverware, and both played at Chelsea at some point. The latter with an even bigger contribution and playing time, and he left when he was well past his peak. Yet, because Cesc is here right now and Frank isn't, Cesc is all the rage and Frank should just cut all ties with the club? Doesn't seem fair, IMO.

Do you think there's any chance for John Swift? Probably another one comparable in terms of talent
-
It was Mikel who lost track (some things never change) of Gerrard for the goal, if that's what you're referring to.

Ray Wilkins picks his Chelsea team of the decade

Anelka on the right wing over Robben for me. Underrated performance from that position especially in 09/10. Scoring, creating..you name it. And no-one can leave out Essien at his prime from the team. -
Question: Does he miss any games because of the yellow card he picked up today?
-
We know what you are, we know what you are.....Captain, Leader, Legend...that's what you are.
-
I'm telling you he's an Academy award winner. Always steals the show and floors the referees with his performances.
-
Haven't seen Fabregas and Oscar combine like that for a goal since the turn of the year...Its been a long time coming, but what a moment.
-
Unless, Costa appears on the bench tomorrow that is....Those kind of charity matches are not competitive. Shouldn't be a problem to take part even if played the full 90 mins
-
We better be careful with comments like that..press might pick up on it, and report it to the FA
-
I'll be disappointed if we don't go into the transfer market for at least one English talent next season. Don't want to worry about FA head honcho Dyke pulling a fast one on us in the future.

One would think, from another perspective, that they would compensate for each other's weakness. But the fact is, they are BOTH lacking when it comes to positional awareness in defending. This is why Ramires works better as b2b then a defensive mid playing in the center. If they both need to play, Matic or Mikel or whoever plays behind them needs to have a really good game.
-
What problems? Ramires barely plays these days. He happens to start one match and now he's the source of problems....Don't quite understand what the author is trying to prove, unless he's talking about the QPR match alone.
-
Same,... Bar his chance creation which hasn't really been the same since coming from injury, he looked comfortable on the ball and rarely looked like giving away possession. Really crucial, especially when Hazard and Willian were not really into the game for a good portion of the match.
-
Tbh, I don't think Mourinho would have been afforded the luxury of having the kind of results United had in those 6 months to implement "his philosophy"
-
Wish he had got a few minutes today though,...he's been out for a long time and some match practice would have been nice ahead of a big match like this. But all the same, I don't recall ever looking at Mikel play in a game and think that he lacks match fitness. More or less plays as expected

I hope our media team remembers that we're actually sponsored by Audi...

Especially to that FA head honcho Dyke.
-
Seriously, I thought another scandal involving out players had hit the papers..

Lampard and Hazard to thank for those great success stats

Classic

At least Ramires does more or less what he's expected to do, and more than once exceeding expectations. I will still say Oscar is NOT playing bad, but just average. And that's a problem when Cesc is not in the best of form, as it puts too much pressure on Hazard. Let's just hope Willian can maintain the form he's showing now, and hope for the best. In any case starting Oscar/Ramires should be a given, considering Cuadrado's form atm.
-
Don't forget his Oscar winning performances on the pitch as well ;-p ,..leaves Referees with no choice but to yield to Didier
-
He's been lacking match practice/fitness, which is why he was much better during that run of games against Tottenham/Man Utd towards the end of the year,,.hopefully should be rectified with him making more appearances due to Costa's injury. (I can think of at least one from the upcoming fixtures where he would be useful ;-) Also, Drogba's level has been more or less like this over the past couple of years. Its not as if he dramatically went from prime Henry to old age Heskey in a matter of a few weeks. His holdup play and aerial ability up is second to no-one on the squad, and he still has good ideas to keep our team ticking. (Yes, even kicking the ball away in extra time)
-
But Drogba for that first goal...what a beast he was.
