He has played a big role in RVP goal total. That needs to be said, but there are better options out there.

Kinda funny someone is a savior or a scapegoat. Scapegoat is Lampard apparently, he was annotated as our weak link after the Everton loss. They forget he was out of action for the past couple games, where our performance was pretty much shit without him. Also forgetting his goals against Sunderland and Wolves which propelled us to victory. While when Ramires is out of action, people come to the conclusion like we are much better with him. But forget how many awful games he has been part of too.
-
That is false. Top of my head i think of the 5-0 victory over Genk. edit: Carling Cup victory over Bolton and Everton. How many games has he missed? without any research excluding the CC games i can only think of 6 games.

They cant even afford adeboyer salary, you guys really believe they will pay 35-40m for Hazard?

http://www.ligue1.com/ligue1/article/kakuta-ready-to-seize-chance.htm Really good article, never been disappointed by Kakuta attitude.
-
I saw the game, he is kinda a defensive liability for Swansea, but he created some great chances in that game most importantly. In our midfield McEachran defensive issues could be hidden, since our midfield is so much better defensively.
-
This has been my biggest criticism of him and have sited this for a while, he still has amazing reflexes and can make most saves. The way AVB wants to play is important for a GK to be good on his feet and have good distribution. Clearly this not a function where Cech excels in. I think Courtois should be brought in to compete against Cech.
-
First off i want to start by saying Lampard is not first team material anymore. But all the options we have at midfield are not much better. The only person we didn't try was Josh and he is on loan. This thread is such a knee jerk and this another attempt to make him the scapegoat. Do you guys forget he just came back from injury, and how we looked when he was injured. If you need a remainder watch the Swansea game. Don't make Ramires some kinda savior we were equally shit with him on the pitch.

I truly never understand all the praise he got when he put in average performances, In my account his performances has been severely overrated. That is unfair Mikel has given good performances on a regular occasion, but criticized unfairly to no end because he differs from your typical dm. He is the ultimate scapegoat for fans. I have said Romeu performances were never that good in the first place, his performances has been overestimated by most.
-
So what you guys think of Romeu performances so far in his first year? I have to say i see a lot of flaws in his game and AVB has shown a lot of undeserved faith in him. some of his performances also has been severely overrated based on a few hard tackles. His man marking, distribution, and positioning is not good enough. On the buy back thing, i would say a five million profit would be a good deal by us if he goes back to Barca.
-
What so funny? He is very similar to Kalas, Chalobah, Bruma, and Ake. He fits perfectly into our team.

Question: Why does everyone think Torres is a Roman transfer? Not Roman or anyone from Chelsea has indicted that. Carlo said Torres was his transfer, and it was pretty evident that Carlo wanted to bring in personals to fit in his 4-1-3-1-2 formation. I just don't buy that Torres was a Roman transfer, to me the media has crated false representation of Roman. If you believe the media then you might as well believe all that has been said about AVB. The difference is AVB constantly talks to the media and deny the allegations, while Roman has never spoken to the media and he has no reason to do so.
-
How is Courtois distribution skills? The only qualm i have with our current #1 is his distribution of the ball. If AVB goes back to the possession football style, then Cech would be a poor fit.
-
Thought his performance was very encouraging.
-
Who knows maybe he can be another Sturridge.
-
Mikel unfairly criticized? I remember when he was playing regularly in the beginning of the season, he was constantly criticized for slowing down our midfield and being the weak link of the midfield. So does our midfield look any better without him? I don't think so, in fact lately our midfield has looked the worst it can possibly could. i have always maintained the position Mikel is very effective when we play defensive sides like Villa, Wigan, QPR,etc. Sides that will play for a draw and not to lose. His passing is much needed against those sides. While i do maintain that Romeu is a better option when we play off the counters, but the teams we have been facing lately are not attacking.

McEachran is expected to start for Swansea against Bolton.
-
It won't be since he is a regular for the Brazilian team.

What about Fernando Torres' first year at Chelsea ?
Joker10 replied to SeB's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
tbf this is the best Torres article/thread. For me i wasn't really excited over the Torres signing, because i was considering the opportunity cost. Aguero should've been signed. I really don't consider Torres past his best, i saw it from the beginning that he would struggle in our playing style, but obviously not to this degree. I truly still believe if he was still with Liverpool or another counter attacking team he would still be considered one of the best striker in the world. If you are going to invest 50m on one player, then at that point you should try to accommodate to his playing style. -
Yeah he flopped against Barca, but seriously that is not news. There is a reason why even Kalou has the same amount of goals in the CL as Higuain.
-
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/willian/profil/spieler_52769.html According to this site his contract expires in the summer of 2014.
-
The problem with 4-2-3-1 is that doesn't suit Ramires at all. He won't have the same freedom to make those runs he does from midfield, and that is his biggest strength. Midfielders in the back two has to be tactically disciplined and have good positioning, and Ramires is piss poor at both tbh.
-
I like Jovetic a lot, and no doubt he would be priced a lot higher if he wasn't injured all of last season. He was a beast two years ago in the CL, almost singly handily knocked out Bayern Munich. Would've advanced if the game had a fair referee.

Sturridge is definitely better then Nasri, i don't think that is even debatable. Nasri is extremely overrated, ffs he was only good for 3-4 months in his entire Arsenal career. He is not even a regular at City, and not even missed at Arsenal. Well maybe he is right now since Gervinho is injured. Balotelli and Sturridge are on the same level. They both have the same amount of goals in PL competition, 2 of those goals are penalties, and Balotelli is surrounded with better talent. Maybe i am overrating Sturridge, or you are extremely underrating him. But most likely is a little of both. I should remained you Sturridge has only been playing regular since last February, and less then a season playing out wide. You are being way too critical of him. Mancini gave him high remarks, and i believe he was being genuine. Also Ashly Cole has given big praises to Sturridge. Here is what he said in the summer: "I knew what he could do, I've seen him in training and he's honestly one of the hardest players I've ever had to mark, his movement is unreal, so the future here is with the young players and hopefully when he comes back next season he'll see more opportunities and bang goals in for us like he has done for Bolton.” That is big praise, especially by one of the best LB of his generation. Mata is better then Hazard, Gotze, Sanchez and Di Maria, especially for this team. You talk about Mata being inconsistent but seriously how can you rate Hazard higher, when he is definitely more inconsistent. People on this forum seen way too many youtubes videos of Hazard. He might have a higher celling then Mata, but atm Mata is better. Why exactly do you think Di Maria and Sanchez is better? btw I don't think Mata is a top ten forward, but it doesn't matter he adds much more to this team then most of those players you listed. He is perfectly fit for this team, so far his debut season in the PL has been on par with David Silva first season if not better. Silva took major steps this season, and Mata can certainly do the same. Mata is not world class right now and David Silva wasn't either last season.
