  1. Don't think either would happen, but Alonso has little more chance imo. Mainly because as i said rumors are that he will not sign a contract extension and Mourinho relationship with him is arguably better then any other player on Madrid squad. You seem to write off the possibility just because of his connection with Liverpool. It might be cliche but there is no loyalty in football anymore, and it doesn't get noted much but supporters have no loyalty toward players either, seen countless times club legends get scapegoated toward their end of their career. But i digress, Modric had no problem whoring himself to us when he was a spurs player, Torres handed a transfer request on the eve of the transfer window, and Joe Cole a self proclaimed lifelong Chelsea fan had no shame joining Liverpool. I am using a few example, but not sure why is it so laughable and while considering Liverpool is just another employee and not even his schoolboy club or something like that. Modric is more unlikely mainly due to the uncertainty surrounding Alonso future, highly doubt they would attempt to sell Modric when Alonso is not committed beyond next season.
  2. Such a childish and ignorance replay......why do i even bother on this forum.
  3. Quite don't understand why so many here think so. If there is a CM at Real Madrid that might follow Mourinho i would guess it will be Xabi Alonso. He has refused to sign a contract extension with Madrid and his contract expires in 2014, unlikely but he could move in the summer.
  4. Good question, why does people rate Laudrup so highly? I loved Laudrup as a player and was my favorite player when i was a kid, the most elegant player on the ball outside of Zidane. But as a manager i don't really get the hype.
  5. Well i disagree with your preference, i really do not envy any of those teams CB situation and i am contempt with our CBs. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. I bet all those clubs have a part of their fanbase not happy with their CB situation either, they would also ideally like to upgrade their CB situation. I wont get into an argument over Cahill vs this CB or that CB, that would be quite idiotic on my part to get into that kinda debate. But two things i would challenge: Your statement that suggests Cahill wont work in highline. Where is this belief of your come from? quite strange when Cahill has the two most important quality for that, he is quite decent on the ball and has good mobility. Remember he was signed during AVB era, a manager who envisioned him that can play in his highline defense. A second statement of yours when you say that Cahill cannot be a starter on a side that challenges for PL title. Quite ridiculous when you look at the side that is walking away with the title. United has had so much injury and inconsistency at CB, but even with that they are still the side to beat and have wrapped up the title with almost 10 games left in the season. Lets also look at Spain where Barca has also had a lot of trouble at CB and it is their weakest link. But they are also walking away with the the league title, and they are still arguably the best side in the world. I guarantee you Cahill will not be the difference from us being a title contender. I also brought United and Barca examples for another reason that shows why i disprove of this thread. They show that you don't need ideal situation at every position, your strength can overcome your weakness. We don't have a team we have bunch of individuals, the individuals we have on the team are better then the results we have gotten this season. I'll wait until we have a manager that can make these players a team. Untill that changes i don't see how much improvement it would make by upgrading over Cahill, especially since most of the goals we have conceded this season was becasue of two things; lack of communication and poor team defense. Our CBs of Luiz, Ivanovic, Terry, and Cahill is good enough atm, i may revaluate that perspective later in time. Disagree, i may be defending Cahill but no way he has world class potential. His problem is not decision making, he doesn't have world beater type instinct and reading of the game that is what will prevent him from being world class. In a way an opposite of Luiz, the Brazilian problem at times is decision making but watch how well Luiz can anticipate things and proactive he is. Cahill has pretty good decision making, but he doesn't have great feel and anticipation like the elite CBs. Decision making what may prevent Luiz from reaching world class, while Cahill doesn't have that celling. That is subjective though, i have had this argument many times with others and the censuses is always the same. There is many different variation of the no.10, and many football cultures defines it differently. I am guessing you don't think Mata is a classical 10 in the mould of Zidane, Laudrup, Rui Costa, etc. If that is what you define as a number 10, then you will find that those are very few. Yet you think Ozil is a 10, Mata and Ozil styles are very similar both likes to drift from center to wide and vice versa. I have also heard Madrid fans who think Ozil is not a 10 either. Mata, Ozil, Goetze, Cazorla, Silva, etc are the standard of todays no.10s. Then you have Kroos and Oscar who resembles the classical 10s. The players around him has dictate how Mata has played this season. Last season he was dropping much deeper and getting involved in our buildups. This season with Oscar and Hazard both wanting to get on the ball rather then making the runs Malouda, Sturridge, Kalou, and Ramires made, this has made Mata change his approach. A lack of a striker has also been another reason. It is truly amazing how well Mata has changed his approach this season and been able to shine.
  6. This is another quote from the Kakuta interview.
  7. Gary Cahill is fine and i don't really have a concern over him. Can he be upgraded? Absolutely, but he is a solid starter and it is not necessary. Like who United? City? Barca? Bayern? PSG? AC Milan? Are you telling me he would be third choice on those teams? All those teams have had issues at CB at one point or another. Only Juve, Madrid, and Dortmund CB situation is somewhat exceptional. Meh the article is way too nit picky for my taste. We are just missing 2-3 pieces imo and even without any changes to this season squad we will be much better next season. Sometimes a season like this is a good foundation for a young squad to build on. You don't need world class players at every position. Cahil as i said is solid, Luiz may not get the credit for it but he is as good as any CB in the league, Cole is still very good even toward the end of his illustrious career, and Lucas is the only DM i would take over Mikel in the PL. CM and ST is the only position we need upgrade at.
  8. Saying Mata, Oscar, and Hazard is the future of Chelsea is not a fact or a guarantee especially if Mourinho comes back. It will depend on who will be the new Chelsea manager. If Mourinho comes back i believe he will set a new course for the future of the club, if the board hires someone like Pellegrini then i believe the objective and goal for the future of the club stays on course on building a technical and proactive side. That do favor Hazard, Oscar, and Mata skill set.
  9. Even though Modric has not lived up to expectation, there is little to no chance of Madrid giving up on him. Also Xabi Alonso has refused to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid, so there is that which makes it even more unlikely of Madrid selling Modric. OT: If Yaya is leaving City, he will move to Qatar Saint Germain that is the only place he could get a pay raise.
  10. Nope not even close. Coutinho was not even rated as highly as Pato, and Pato was a fun prospect and highly rated. While Neymar is considered once in a generation type prospect by many. The non-Chelsea player i would look out for is Fernando, seen the 20 year old DM a couple of times for Gremio and i have always came away impressed. He is often compared to Gilberto Silva and after watching him play i can see why.
  11. Really looking forward to Brazil vs Italy, maybe the only international friendly that i will actually watch. This is the projected lineup for Brazil : Júlio César; Daniel Alves, David Luiz, Dante and Filipe Luis; Fernando, Hernanes and Oscar; Hulk, Neymar and Fred. Very promising lineup for Brazil.
  12. Possibly, but i think a lot of teams would rather have a DM drop deep and act as a third CB. But definitely more teams are trying the 3 CB system, and Barca experimented with that a lot last season. Well most fullbacks are kinda wing-backs, even though i classify them as FB. I mean guys like Alves, Alba, Marcelo, Coentrao, Piszczek, Srna, Lahm(more attacking in recent years), Alaba, etc cant be classified as FB anymore. oh Draxler is an amazing talent, if he wants be a Chelsea player i wouldnt say no. Would be a bad decision for his career though.
  13. That is because the game has evolved, not many managers see wingers as necessary. The responsibility of width for the team has gone to fullbacks, that is why all of the best fullbacks in the world are excellent going forward.you don't find FB that actually prioritizes defending over attacking in the game either.
  14. There is also Pedro, who is just awesome with Spain NT. His form is literally like day and night when playing for Spain and Barcelona.
  15. Why not both? oh my sides when i read a few pages back, Moses>Neymar lol. I appreciate players like Moses, and respect what they offer to a team, but Neymar talent is on a another level. Saying Moses over Neymar is ridiculous, on the same level as that West Ham fans who believed Scotty Canham> Frank Lampard(http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4723242/Harry-Redknapp-defends-Frank-Lampard-at-fans-forum.html.) I don't see anything wrong with what Neymar is doing, he is not whoring himself. He is doing what Hazard did when he was Lille, just giving generic answers.
  16. So??? Did i specifically say anything about his quality? no Angel Di Maria is a very good player, and undoubtedly an important player for Madrid and Argentina(he plays more like a CM for Argentina btw). He actually adds a lot to a team and it makes it hard to leave him out the lineup. He is extremely talented, but he is a headless chicken and if he actually had a brain and looked up while dribbling he would be world class. Although one thing i will say in his defense is it i figure he would make better decision making if he played on the left since his biggest weakness is his use of right foot or lack of it should i say. Looking past the brainless part of his game, i further despise the guy who shamelessly dives all over the pitch. After years of being frustrated by Malouda and Kalou decision making, i absolutely do not want to go back to those days. But anyway Di maria to Chelsea is not going to happen unless we part with one of Oscar, Mata, and Hazard since he wouldn't want to be a backup to them. But with mourinho at charge it is unfortunately possible.
  17. Di Maria at Chelsea? god i hope that doesn't happen, i hate that prick. He is so fucking brainless i cannot stand him.
  18. A healthy and fit Banega is better then Benat without question. He is an immense talent when on form, plus can't say there is a midfielder in the world that has caused Barca midfield more trouble then Banega.
  19. Ozil to Bayern??? there is a actually a rumor like that? Don't see that happening with Kroos at his position, and plus the fact Kroos has the ability to play at CM, and would better fit Pep 4-3-3. Personally i prefer Kroos over Ozil, he is much more consistent anyway. Why would RM want Mata? Take your pick, why wouldn't they want him if he was available. Also If Mourinho is gone in the end of the season, i don't think Di Maria place will be safe. Since he was always a preferred Mourinho signing.
  20. Real Madrid?? I actually could see Real Madrid bidding for him, next summer or maybe even this summer depending on what happens with Ronaldo. With Mata being former Castilla player he would undoubtedly be a popular signing among the supporters.
  21. You probably/definitely have seen more of De Bruyne, but the way i see him he is a CM/AM hybrid similar to a younger Lampard. To put De Bruyne in a pivot role is a waste imo, he will be much more restricted then the role he is playing right now. The kid has a great shot in him, great attacking movement, and can make worldly final passes. His potential is up there with Mata and Hazard, but not as a pivot CM. If you just want to see him accommodated into the starting squad, then a 4-3-3 makes that more realistic.
  22. Most people in the gym are actually more bodybuilders then power lifters. Power lifting is centered around only 3 exercises: Squats, deadlift, and bench press. Power lifters usually do 7-10 sets of each with low reps(3-4) all at max weight. Some add a few more exercises in there after, but you will be exhausted after doing squats, deadlift, or bench press depending on which one you worked on that day. Most people in the gym attempt to do a lot of exercises with low sets and high reps from 8-12 which is attempting to enter hypertrophy stage. Back in the day power lifters and bodybuilders were pretty much the same, until they figured out that you don't need to lift the heaviest to gain muscle. I like the power lifting concept, very simple. But your risk of injury does go up, so you have to be careful.
  23. Don't worry about abs tbh. Your focus should be on losing fat(under 10% body fat) and building lean muscle, that is the key to ripped and defined abs. Not saying don't do any abs exercises, do crunches, reverse crunches, situps, left/right crunches, etc. Focus on them once or twice week in the end of your exercise. You can do push ups with something heavy on your back, for a example one summer i filled my backpack with around 30-40 pounds. Do incline/decline pushups to target lower/upper chest also you can change it up with close, normal, or wide grip. For me it did wonder when i had no access to a gym. I did pyramids sets, and the key to building muscle it is always about reaching failure. @Leif You don't need a gym and don't need to buy expensive equipments unless you want to. Pullups/chinups- to target lats and biceps. Wear something heavy(Backpack) for more resistance if needed. Dips- Target triceps, again for extra resistance put weights in a backpack or something. Incline/Decline push ups- Target lower and upper chest, like i suggested earlier in this post. Squats/lunge- To target quads and calves. I used a log for more resistance, and i am sure you can find something similar. Shoulders- Do shoulder presses with something heavy massive rock for example will do.
  24. I have also caught a good amount of games of Bilbao over the past two years, i haven't seen him use him use 3-5-2 either. If he has it would be most unorthodox 3-5-2 you have seen. Two formation that he does like to use that could resemble 3-5-2 is his 4-3-3 and 3-3-1-3. I know he likes his DM to drop deep in 4-3-3, and give his fullbacks the freedom to move high up the pitch. I guess that does look like 3-5-2, but it is not similar to Juve for example who are the best team to exercise the 3-5-2. If Bielsa did run 3-5-2 at Chelsea, it wouldn't be anywhere as defensive as the hypothetical XI you suggested in the last page.
