I actually think all of the "big" sides will beat Arsenal.City will batter them, I think we'll beat them like Jose always does, United will beat them again like they did earlier, and I think Liverpool will beat them too.
-
They have a couple of murderous runs still. I think they'll lose several of them.
-
Can't see any of us, City, or Arsenal dropping many points against these weaker sides for the rest of the season. It's all gonna come down to the big matches when the top sides play each other and how well those sides cope with multiple competitions. That's why I think ourselves and City will eventually break away from Arse. Must win tomorrow.
-
I fucking hate Arsenal. They don't look impressive at all really, they're just flat track bullies who beat up on bad sides this season. Can't wait until their tough runs start kicking in and they fall back.
-
Saw it when it happened. He was screaming "you're shit!"
-
Sunderland are making the Saints look like Barca.
-
I'm watching him closely here against Sunderland. His ball control and link up play with the forwards has been impressive in the opening minutes. I'm just imagining him linking up with Hazard on our left side.
-
Just watched one of those YouTube compilation videos of this Rodriguez kid. He...looks pretty fucking good. Anyone can be made to look great on YouTube, mind, but if he regularly plays like that and is still only 21 I can see why we're rumored to be after him. I'd prefer Shaw still, but I think we'd do well to get either.

Don't know if Jose will trust Luiz in midfield in this one. I think Lamps will start next to Ramires, unfortunately. Also, I read somewhere that Rooney may be having a late fitness test before the match, so I wouldn't be surprised if he played. Could just be made up twitter bullshit.

That defense that's conceded once in its last five matches? That defense?
-
Wish I shared your optimism and confidence. Think it'll be a very tough match. They're like a wounded animal with its back against the wall. A win for us here could potentially end their top 4 hopes. A win for them could catapult them right back into things with their star players close to returning. I'll be praying to the football gods all weekend. Haven't wanted to win a match this badly since the Arsenal game a little while ago. I want to smash these arrogant pricks.

From an offside position.I think they'll score in the same way they have been recently. Jammy Welbeck goal after the ball pinballs off of 3 players in the box from a Valencia cross.
-
Indeed.I think it'll be a boring, uneventful 1st half with no goals but we'll kick into gear in the 2nd half and win 2-1. Only thing that really worries me about them without RvP and Rooney is their wingers. We struggle against crosses and set pieces which is what their game is based on. I can see both Valencia and Januzaj causing a few headaches down the flanks. If we win and Liverpool do as well I can't see a way United finish in the CL places. Must win game here for me. I'd have to go on an internet blackout for a week if we lost to this United side. It would be unbearable.

If we can't beat this lot at home without their two best players...
-
The chairman has said that none of their players are for sale this month. We'll either have to pay a large premium now or wait until the summer.
-
He said he's not starting out of respect to the other players. He COULD start if Jose wanted him to.
-
So has Diddling Dave had his press conference yet to confirm or deny whether Rooney and RvP will play?
-
True, but that release clause is probably astronomical, right? I'd imagine so since he just signed a new contract.
-
Would Jose really throw a kid like Kalas who hasn't played a minute for us this season in the deep end in competitions like the CL or a close title race?
-
If getting Costa mean letting Courois stay there permanently then I'd say no.
-
Hmmm. With Ivanovic injured, what happens if Ash gets hurt too? Azpi already looks like he's fatigued at times in matches. Could we really be getting Shaw now? Hope so.
-
If we go for him now while there's turmoil at the club I think we have a better chance than in the summer when United and a City will push hard for him too.
-
That could be a good idea.Although Shaw could benefit from playing the business end of the season under the tutelage of his hero Ashley Cole. What if he's gone in the summer? Makes so much sense to get him in now. Azpi won't have to play on the left anymore. We'd have 2 right backs in Azpi and Iva, and two left backs in Ash and Shaw.
-
Can you imagine how much jizz will be blasted if we got both Matic AND Shaw in 1 month? Two positions we need to fill, two who are connected to the club in some way already. Perfect, really. This rumored deal looks reasonable, too. They get a nice chunk of cash and a direct replacement for the player they're selling. Not sure I trust the source at all but it makes sense.
-
Can't look past them at the moment. Only a long term Kompany or Yaya injury will stop them.I think Jose will get our boys really close, but we're just missing that one important key. A striker. I can see us having another couple of matches like our Everton one early this year where we don't have a world class, clinical finisher to bail us out RvP-style if our midfield isn't effective. City have proven this season so far that any of their 3 strikers can score loads.
