Still have a sneaking suspicion that something will happen with Stones at the deadline. Either us or United.
-
Why do people keep saying this? He's one of their best players...
-
Kind of fucked up how we pretty much made him feel like a Chelsea player again (took him on tour, played him often, sent him with Azpi the other day for some Adidas event) and are just tossing him out on loan. Guess Kenedy will have a decent share of minutes this season.
-
That color really doesn't suit him. He looks albino.
-
Doubt it. Kevin will be playing in a fluid, attack minded side that dominate the ball and relentlessly hammer opponents. If he plays in similar form as he has this past year he should put up huge stats. Oscar won't even start the majority of our matches.
-
He really isn't. De Bruyne is better than Oscar at everything you'd ask of a star attacking midfielder.

United are such a strange side. At times they've played great football and others they look shit. They're the only thing positive about our own shocking start. They don't look much better.
-
Unbelievable team they have. Even the areas of their XI we all figured would be weaknesses have been great so far.
-
Think we certainly could've had him weeks ago if we wanted him. Now, I highly doubt it. Think he's as good, if not better than Stones is currently so he'd be a fantastic signing.
-
True.I'd rather just offer straight cash.
-
That's an insane offer to reject. Jesus Christ!

No, you're correct. Got no service. He was also left to fend for his own against 2 or 3 defenders every time a cross went in. He got no help today and hasn't often so far this season. He isn't a striker like Agüero or Suarez who can singlehandedly create magic and do it all himself on a regular basis. He's pretty reliant on service and the players around him playing well. When Hazard and Cesc are off in cuckoo land Costa is left out to dry and isn't effective. If Hazard snaps into his normal self, he and Pedro should improve Deigo immensely.

My guess is that a coup,e of days ago there was legit contact. An inquiry from us that was promptly turned away. I bet there has been no contact since and we received a stern "no."

When he focuses completely on only his football he's a beast. Even when he doesn't score. When he plays like he did today (and he acted the same way against City) where he moans and complains about every decision and goes down looking for fouls every time he's touched I just can't stand him. The refs know that he'll go down easily when he isn't fouled and we've seen the consequences of that. When he actually does get fouled they wave it on or call it a dive.

Its sad. Feels like all of our great players are going to waste.

The thing that annoys me the most and is just starting to make me crack a bit is the fact that we have no defined style of play. You never know which Chelsea you're going to get from game to game. I used to roll my eyes these past couple of seasons when I'd read some posters here questioned whether José even practiced and trained any attacking football. I'm starting to question that now myself. Game after game after game we look like we don't have a clue what to do with the ball in possession. We have players with unbelievable skill and ability but it's like they simply don't have a plan once they get around the box. Everyone just stands around. It seems like about 75% of the time Hazard gets the ball passed to him he's at walking pace where he isn't nearly as dangerous. Willian is seriously a donkey when it comes to finishing. Our players may as well start jogging back into defense as soon as the ball leaves his foot because you know it's going out for a goal kick. A lot of this HAS to be coaching. You look at literally all of our rivals and they have set styles that are all way more pleasing on the eye and effective than ours. Just compare us in the final third to City and Arsenal. Their players look like they've spent countless hours in training working on their interplay, movement, one-twos, forming triangles and all that. They just easily slice through teams like they aren't there. We rely almost entirely on a lightning counter attack or some individual magic from a player. That doesn't happen and we're totally limp and simple as hell to play against. Teams gets scared by Cityand Arsenal before they even step on the pitch because they know with certainty that they'll have little possession and be on the ropes most of the game. They know with us now that if you just work hard, press, and get after our guys they can get a result. No one seems intimidated by us any longer. Even small teams. I heard a quote from Pardew before the game saying that he wants Palace to "take the game to us." And they do just that. A side that we should be blowing away. We should be setting out almost every single match day with the mindset that we're far superior to the opposition and that we should dominate the ball.

What a terrible transfer window.Man City did exactly what we did last summer and there's still the unknown with United who will surely sign at least one more. How is our window closed!? We've clearly left it far too late and have as a consequence been told no by the club's whose players we're trying to panic buy. The "we don't need players" and "we will do it with the same players" statements have come back to haunt us before we've even really got going.
-
Liverpool being shite is expected at this point. Shocking for us to be this poor.
-
Think it's 100% nailed on that he starts at Everton. José will say something like "he's had a couple of weeks to clear his head and focus," and he'll be straight back in the team as if the first 4 matches never happened.
-
If we don't buy another game changing player we won't get near the title. It'll be a fight with Arsenal, United, and even Liverpool for a CL place.
-
Only player at this point I'd give them is Ramires. Ramires + cash or just a boat load of cash by itself. Oscar could still be a valuable player even with Pogba. Matic, Pogba, and Oscar in a midfield 3 may actually be even better than it would be with Cesc with the way he's playing. Wouldn't care if we annihilated the world transfer record now. We need a serious injection of top, top quality.
-
No matter what happens he must not be sacked during the season. Consider options maybe once the season is over if need be, but sacking him midsession like some are suggesting would be lunacy.
-
Honestly, I'm worried for us looking at our next three fixtures. Everton and Newcastle are two of our bogey side and Arsenal's pace and attacking play may rip our shit defense apart. This has the look of a disastrous season so far. City and their fans will be laughing their heads off. They probably thought they were gearing up for a tough battle for the title with all this investment. Little did they expect that they may have ran away with it within the first month of the season.
-
Already 8 behind City who haven't even conceded a single goal yet. We've conceded 9. NINE! And they've gone and signed another top class attacking player.
