So...many...inaccurate...passes. My goodness!
-
I can honestly see this being one of those matches where we have fewer than 2 shots on target the whole way through. Combination of slow, ponderous midfield with little creativity, a striker who is constantly offside and hasn't been playing at all, and mostly because these are all dead rubber games now so no one will be up for it.

Remy given a chance to audition for his next club and to raise the transfer price? Only reason I can think of for him starting this.
-
Obviously he won't have total authority like Wenger or anything like that but I would hope our board and owner learned their lesson this season that signing a bunch of dudes the manager has never heard of or seen play is disastrous. I can understand our scouts or Emenalo going to Conte with a list of players that they feel would be good signings, but allow him absolute final say. No more "board signings" or "Abramovich signings." Let the manager decide all incomings. What a strange idea, eh?

Pellegeino.

Good as he's been this season, I'd rather us not sign a player who was completely unknown prior to this year and is having the season of his life like the rest of the Lecicester team. What if this is just an extreme purple patch like we've seen from so many average players over the years and he'll return to his "normal" level next season? Would be a nice fall back option if the other players we're linked with are impossible.
-
Fucking hell, if true.
-
I've been lurking neogaf for years but no, I don't have an account.
-
Can't see what this is...
-
I'd much rather have Pedro than Cuadrado. Oh, and I see you're a GAF poster...
-
He's the last of their midfielders I'd want if Hazard goes the other way. Would much rather make an effort to lure Isco. Unlike there he'd be an automatic starter and an important piece here.
-
Yeah, I could see that. Don't think we have a chance at signing him so you can breath easy.
-
Would playing second fiddle behind Zlatan be any different from playing second behind Costa, though? If Conte sets up similarly to how he has in the past we'll need plenty of strikers.
-
Normally I'd agree completely but Zlatan is still one of the 5 best strikers in the world despite his "old" age. Him firing us into the top 4 on a 1 year contract and then fucking off to MLS for one last mega contract doesn't sound bad at all. What a morale boost to our current players it would be to see Zlatan swagger through the door at Cobham. If only...
-
Think we'd all like him, but why would he leave Bayern after 1 season? He gets to live the easy life there. It would be like jumping into the fire coming here currently.
-
Watch him be our Hazard replacement and the money we get from Eden's sale will be used to buy Emenalo a nice townhouse in Mayfair.
-
Seriously, this has to have been the worst transfer year in PL history, for any club. One striker in Pato who hasn't and may not play at all for us, another in Falcao who I forgot was even on our roster and has contributed fuck all, a CB that isn't even here anymore, another CB who can't get anywhere near our squad, and a backup keeper who hasn't seen the pitch in so long I can't recall the last time we've seen him. Oh, and a LB who neither manager we've had this season trusts. This is the kind of club management you'd expect from a side like Newcastle or Aston Villa.
-
Don't necessarily think signing a stop-gap or two for this coming season would be a bad thing. We need to ensure we finish in the CL places at all costs. After Drogba, Zlatan is my all time favorite striker so I'd have him here for a year or two no questions asked. He's still highly effective and would destroy the majority of PL defenses. He's also a player who opposing teams fear even if he's not scoring. Just his huge presence is intimidating and forces defenders to remain weary. Unfortunately, I think he'll follow Mourinho to United.
-
Have a bad feeling they'll slip up in a couple of matches they should win easily and Spuds will capitalize and win it.
-
I feel like they've been reporting that the announcement is imminent for a month. Everyday I see "could be announced today" or "within the next two days." I'd still be surprised if we announce it before the end of the season. Pleasantly surprised.
-
Isn't the whole reason Cavani is unhappy that he wants to play in his best position up top and not moved around all the time?
-
They're both better playing as the focal point of a team I think as pure #9's.
-
Like I said yesterday, I wouldn't be shocked at all if United or PSG who are losing Zlatan forked over a huge sum to sign him this summer. He's clearly good enough for that level of club now. Bangs them in with service from average players at West Brom and Everton. He'd be deadly with top players around him. Imagine the headaches Lukaku and Martial together would give opponents. Or Lukaku flanked by Di Maria and Lucas. He has huge ambition and big mouth when it comes to the media so it's only a matter of time before he's out of Everton. First big club to throw in a massive bid and he'll ask away.
-
Knowing the FA, they'll still ban him for 10 games for "looking threatening."
-
Just think about the signings we've made in the last year. You literally couldn't make up a more hilariously atrocious set of transfers. It's honestly as if someone drew random names out of a hat. Someone got fucking paid to sign these players. My word. We signed a striker in Falcao on loan who came off of an embarrassing season and has been broken beyond repair for ages now. We signed a defender from a shit Ligue 1 side that the manager at the time had never heard of or seen play and loaned him out without ever playing a single minute in our team. We signed a 20 year old kid from NY Redbulls that no one had ever heard of who will likely never play a minute in our first team. If all that wasn't enough, we sign a player in January who's literally not even close to match fit and still hasn't made even a sub appearance appearence and we're approaching the end of March. It's like someone flicked a switch in the brains of our board members. All the work we al praised them for in the past few seasons was just flushed down the toilet. Even the deals we all thought were fantastic look shit now. We thought we were pulling one over on Everton by selling them Lukaku. He's becoming a beast now. We thought the money we got for De Bruyne was great and that Oscar was better so we wouldn't miss him. We sold the "clown" David Luiz to PSG and are now desperate for a CB that is proactive, comfortable on the ball, and mobile. Depressing as fuck. Now we have to blow the thing up and start all over.
