Unless something catastrophic happened in his personal life that no one knows about then surely he has to have been playing injured for most, if not all season. No way can a player of his ability just become abysmal that quickly. Like a switch on his back was flicked basically. It would be hugely beneficial if he didn't go to the Euro's and had an extended break. Too bad that won't happen. Starting next season under a new manager with (hopefully) a bunch of new faces fully rested and fit would be awesome.

Forgot about Musonda. Both he and Cuadrado would be useful additions to the squad but both are desperate to play every game which I doubt they'd do at Chelsea. Musonda for sure wouldn't.

Aké, maybe. Think he's decent but nothing special. Bamford couldn't get a game in that poor Palace side whose other strikers weren't exactly prolific. He's not good enough for us yet. Kalas I haven't seen or heard anything about in about a year so I can't comment.

Like who? Who is going to come back from loan other than Cristensen who we can't recall that would help us reach the CL places? We need proven, top quality signings.

As one of his biggest supporters here I'm starting to come around to this line of thinking. Sadly, he's made to look like an old man when going against modern, athletic midfielders. Do think he can be effective if you put Kanté and Nainggolan in a midfield 3 with him. Just can't see how or where we'd sell him to. And I doubt he'd put up with being a sub mostly.

Goes into his shell far too often. Obviously he's still a very young player but if he wants to be a regular starter he's gotta make an impact over an entire match and not just bursts here and there. His stamina and energy levels also seem super low. Makes him look really lazy out there.

Getting 4th next season would be a huge achievement. I was thinking recently that with the right signings we could maybe even challenge (not win) for the title next season but no way. We're light years away from there.

We need 2 CB's, 2 CM's, maybe a creative midfielder, and possibly a LB. may need a new keeper as well. And that's just for the starting XI!

Blown away and humiliated at home by a City side missing two of their best players and deploying some of the most basic counterattacking tactics. Absolutely insane that we've allowed our club to disintegrate and waste away to this level. City didn't even need to expend much effort. They just bullied us and swatted us away like a newly promoted relegation candidate. Roman needs to be on the phone yesterday with Conte picking out his choices for signings. The likes of Cahill, Ivanovic, and Baba shouldn't play for Chelsea again. Mikel shouldn't be anywhere near the first XI. Squad player at best. Honestly, if we can recruit the keeper of Conte's choice I wouldn't be too sad to see Courtois go. He doesn't look bothered or happy to be here. Fuck him off for a huge fee if that's the case. We need a minimum of 5 new players. Also, I can't see us winning another game this season. That in itself doesn't matter I guess, but what a terrible mood there will be around the place if we just lose, lose, lose to close out a dreadful season.

Think he's done here. Hasn't gotten a sniff in under Guus. Can't remember when he last started. He doesn't come across as a Conte type player, either.

You can see clear as day where someone like Kanté would slot straight into our team. We desperately need a midfield beast patrolling around the center circle and not allowing teams to rush right through us. Our first two signings should be Kanté and another marauding CM. We stand no chance with this current pairing against even decent sides.

Feel like I'm saying this every single week, but we are SO poor in the middle of the park and at the back. We can't get near them whenever KDB gets the ball. Huge investment needed as we all know.

They'll apparently have a couple of their best players out like Silva so maybe we have a chance. At least I won't rage and have my weekend ruined if we get shit on since our season is now meaningless. Would be nice to beat this lot, though. If nothing else, show that we aren't a million miles away from City.

If that's true I wonder if we'll see Pato playing behind Costa. Or maybe RLC at #10?

Barkley isn't really the pure #10 I'd want personally. Lanzini just signed a contract like a month ago or something and I'm not sure about him yet anyways. Moutinho is nearly 30 now so I'm not sure if he's what we need. I'd really love to see the prototypical, creative, classy #10. A player like Özil, Eriksen, Mata in his prime with us, David Silva. I think Pjanic could probably be that and I'd be delighted if we signed him to replace Oscar.

Just our terrible luck that the season where we'll finally may get rid of Oscar and we won't have CL football to lure a world class replacement. Imagine being able to make a play for Isco or James or Reus to replace Oscar. Don't think we can now. There are still plenty of very good players out there that are an improvement on Oscar, though, who would jump at the chance to move here. Just struggling to think of any right now off the top of my head.

I kind of disagree here. I think Liverpool have a fantastic chance of winning the thing. True, they're terrible defensively, but so is every other side in Europe. This being their best chance of silverware in a while and with their hopes of top 4 gone they'll be gunning for this like mad knowing that it's a way into the CL now.

Unfortunately I can't compare them as I didn't watch Juventus regularly. Judging by what his former superstar players like Pirlo and Buffon have said about him we may have the perfect man to bring us forward. All comes down to how much the board and owner back him in the market.
