  1. Match after match our defending is so poor. Pedro was absolutely shocking that half. As if he's forgotten how to play football. What happened to the Barcelona player who had immaculate touch and technical ability? He fumbles the ball or gives it away almost every time he touches it! There's no way that West Brom team should be able to compete with us but we make them look our equals. Painful to watch.
  2. Hope we don't see a boring, counter attacking approach. Get at them and score early.
  3. So strange seeing Matic out of the team for so long. He's gone from being undroppable over the past two seasons to a squad player now. Damn.
  4. Would be a terrible signing. This long running rumor needs to die like the Hulk one finally did.
  5. We need someone who is highly experienced in Europe and has managed (at a high level) in a top league. Someone who will immedietly command our star players' respect and someone who can attract top recruits. The Chelsea job is too big for Sampaoli I think. He's the kind of manager that needs to take over at all club first and earn his way to a big club like us. Could see him getting sacked in a single season here.
  6. To be honest I'd just avoid the possibility of buying another Cuadrado-like flop and sticking with what we have until the new manager is appointed. The league is gone and top 4 is gone too. No point in making any "shot in the arm" signings in hopes of giving us a temporary boost to accomplish something. Unless we're buying a world class player who any manager on earth would be able to work with and can play in any system it's just not wise. Save the money! Better options will be available in the summer.
  7. Man, we're shit. Ramires is pointless. Totally useless and offers nothing at all going forward.
  8. Tell me if you've heard this one before: our build up is so fucking slow and poor. No one moves and no one can hit the target. This is Chelsea at its worst from the last couple of seasons. All of these super talented attacking players who can't play consecutive games at a high level. They look awesome one match and look like Aston Villa players the next.
  9. Was just a bit of father and son bonding. Seriously, though, how the fuck do all of these supposedly credible news outlets like Sky and The Telegraph just print these obviously bullshit stories? Like, do they have journo's peeping through the fences at Cobham or something?
  10. Think it would piss off United even more since all their fans and even their board seem to think it's their divine right to sign him if he ever leaves Madrid. They're entitled to every top class British player, didn't you know?
  11. True, but you'd think if we show huge ambition by bringing in a top manager and investing heavily we'd still be able to recruit top players with or without CL football for a season. We'll have to overpay of course, but who cares?
  12. Think relegation would be the only way we don't see Hazard in a Chelsea shirt next season. Though, if he did force our hand and we could get £100m for him from Madrid that'll be one hell of a war chest for the new manager on top of whatever else we were going to spend. Selling him would be the worst case scenario but if we could get 2-3 top class players with the money (Koké & Griezmann to follow Simeone if we get him? Maybe even one of Real Madrid's players like Isco or Bale?) then we would still be in great shape.
  13. I love the big guy, obviously, but other than a morale boost for the remainder of this season what's really the point in appointing him in an official coaching capacity? Could he not accomplish the same by watching from the stands and maybe just hang around training every once in a while? Will he just leave in 6 months time when the next manager comes in?
  14. Exactly, reverse color theme. Blue quote boxes already look much better. Thanks, Jim.
  15. I'd just make the entire quote box blue with white text like they were before. Also, would be nice to have a "dark" theme for the whole site if possible as an alternative option like many sites do. Whole site is blue rather than white and quote boxes would then switch to white.
  16. I really don't like how the quote boxes are white just like your own posts. Makes it kind of hard to tell them apart at times.
  17. Not feeling the look of this update at all. Think it's straight up ugly honestly. Only positive thing is that the tool bar with the emoji's and stuff actually exists on my iPad unlike the old layout.
  18. Which is why we must do whatever it takes to lure Simeone. We likely won't ever play the type of "beautiful," fluid football on an every match basis like Barca, Bayern, City, or Arsenal do. But what is the exact type of football that bullies those sides? Mourinho (at his best) and Simeone football. Physical, hardworking, highly intense play. You punch those sides in the mouth and they falter. Like we've done to Arsenal.
  19. None of the fullbacks we have would suit Pep. None of the CB's we have would suit Pep. None of the central midfielders either. This wouldn't be a situation that he could come into and turn into Barca or Bayern in 1 year. He goes to City, United, or even Arsenal and he needs only a couple of additions and he's set more or less.
  20. He had several of the best players who have ever played football at Barca. Sure he had to get them to play together in a system and all that but with the insane array of talent he had at his disposal it wasn't like it was some colossal task. I meant that we are too much of a project. It would take at least a couple of transfer windows for him to shape us into a Pep team and even longer to play his style of football. Think we'd need almost an entirely new midfield and defense.
  21. Too much of a project for Pep. He'll go to the easiest job with best squad and brightest future. Just like he did with Bayern. Can't blame him. Simeone will be the best we can hope for.
  22. Doesn't matter to me how he ends up there. Seeing our best (and my personal favorite) manager ever at the helm of a club I despise will be painful. He's a success wherever he goes and he'll be one there. Which in turn means we'll likely be less successful.
  23. Meh. Don't think PSG is of interest to him. He'd be bored out of his mind.
  24. Or Pellegrino. The worst thing initially will be seeing him sign players he couldn't here. Pretty much no transfer target will be out of reach. Seeing him sign players we've been desperate for here for years will be a gut punch. Think Stones and Pogba will be his two big summer buys.
  25. Fuck. Was still holding out a glimmer of hope that Mou wouldn return to Madrid. Only one possible destination now. Goddamnit. Next season will be a pain watching José at United.
