Mate, I have nightmares about it coming down to the last match somehow. So nervous!
-
Hope so. Think they'll raise their game for sure and give us a tougher time than they should do.
-
Traore's pace against the slow Alonso has to be the main worry here.
-
Cracking 90 points in Conte's first season when you consider the other clubs and managers we're competing with would be insane. We've got 4 extremely winnable matches left and if the players are as focused as they have been throughout the season we can do it. Hopefully there's no easing up.
-
I think we'll be bringing in at least 4 quality signings this summer. There's no doubt in my mind that the board have realized that they made a huge error in not reinforcing the side last year. Whether or not the players we do bring in are Conte's choices is the biggest question. If the club reward Conte with his absolute first choice targets then I think we'll be dark horses for the CL. If you look at this season's, though, even without Conte getting his first choices he was able to do this well. The sign of an excellent coach who can get the best out of what he's got.

Wonder if we may see Cesc start for a bit more cutting edge and incisive passing from the get go.
-
Unlike sides like Sunderland, Boro at least have the ability to stifle and bus park. They aren't a complete embarrassment like Moyes's men. Luckily, a draw does them no good so they'll be open and vulnerable. Only way I can see us losing is if we just take 3 points against a relegation team at home for granted. They don't have pace up top that usually give Luiz and Cahill trouble and they don't have super athletes in midfield to cause Matic problems. Think we'll win 2-0.
-
Speaking of Douglas Costa, if the rumors are true about Bayern going all out for Alexis maybe we should try to get him. Or Müller who doesn't appear to be first choice for them any longer.
-
I just can't see Boro scoring against us unless it's a flukey passage of play. And if they do score it won't be more than once. No way they be able to stop us scoring. It won't be a cake walk Monday but as desperate as Boro will be, I'm hoping the hype our players will have with the whole world watching in the featured, standalone match will see us be too much for Boro. Expecting huge games from Diego and Hazard. If this were an away game I'd be super nervous. I trust Conte and the boys to handle business at home. The chance to win the title before Spuds even kick a ball next is a huge carrot on the end of the string.
-
You realize you're allowed to say "fuck" on here, right?
-
I don't think they'll take a step back in terms of quality, just league position. Simply because ourselves, City, and United will be buying much better players than they'll be able to attract. I think they'll be battling with Liverpool and Arse for that last CL spot.
-
I think it'll be between us and the 2 Manchester clubs. Think Spuds will take a slight step back.
-
Watching City it's pretty easy to see that with a couple of key signings they'll be an unbelievable side next season. The skill, pace, and understanding between their attacking players is sublime. They just need a couple of top class full backs and a long term Yaya replacement and they're title contenders again. Everyone hyped this season but next year will be even more insane.
-
Just thinking about those cunty Spud fans who gave us shit after the Palace game.
-
I didn't watch the game nor check Twitter for a couple hours during it so I didn't jinx it. Needless to say I just about jumped through the roof after seeing the result! LETS FUCKING GO!!!
-
We can cope just fine without Kante for one match against Boro. Luiz, however, would be a huge worry. Zouma and Cahill together would make me super nervous.
-
Like Willian, the club shouldn't even consider selling Fabregas. They are both fantastic options to have in the squad. Cesc, especially is the ultimate Plan B player. There are very few players in Europe with his skill set so it's not like we could go out and get another pass master type guy.
-
I agree, but it would be harsh on Cahill to just get perma-benched. Does he just assume the role JT currently has? A couple of scattered appearences here and there? I mean, I've been calling for a Cahill replacement here as much as anyone but I'm not convinced the club are as down on him as the fans are.
-
Maybe it's possible Andreas competes with Azpi and Van Dijk with Cahill/Luiz. With so many matches next season there will be plenty of playing time for everyone. Even days where Conte completely switches formations. Think Zouma may be the biggest casualty this summer.
-
Fantastic player who I'd love to sign but I wonder how ruthless Conte will be. If we pay huge money for VVD he's surely starting every match which means Cahill is benched. Would Conte do that to Cahill who has been our solid captain in a potential title winning campaign? After he (rightly or wrongly) was in the team of the season? With Cristensen confirmed to be returning I'm not sure we'll even be after another CB but rather focusing on the wing back areas.
-
I love Willian. We better not sell him. Especially not to a rival.
-
I really hate that we not only play after Spuds but also are the featured Monday Night Football match. Spuds will inevitably win tomorrow (probably by about 4 goals) and be only a point behind us. Then we have a desperate Boro side in a match the whole world will be watching knowing that no one gives them a chance. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they put in their best performance of the season against us and then proceed to get spanked in their next one. Way more pressure on this this one than the Everton match which everyone thought was our final hurdle.
-
He's very talented and could be a great signing for us in the right circumstances. But these reports saying we're going to replace Costa like for like with Morata are concerning. I don't think he's good enough currently to lead our line as the sole #9 for an entire league season + CL. He's a great complimentary striker. A bit like Dybala is for Higuain.
-
He'd be absolutely perfect for us but we have no chance. Can't imagine they'd sell one of their best players to a club that may pip them to the title. Unfortunately, if he moves itll be to one of the Manchester clubs who he'll greatly improve.
-
If rumors turn out to be true, they'll be spending nearly that amount on forwards alone. Wouldn't shock me. Mourinho knows he has to buy a title next season or he'll be on the hot seat. I was shocked by the money the Manchester clubs spent last summer. This summer will be a whole new level and it'll be insane. From both of them. United will spend silly money on their attack while City will do the same for their defense.
