Loftus Cheek is so good at getting the ball and then bursting to the edge of the box. But then he has zero quality once he gets there. If only he could shoot he’d literally be Yaya Toure version 2. Barkley would probably be a better weapon here than Ruben because he can test a keeper with long shots.

Lukaku would’ve score both of those Havertz point blank chances I think. Kai seems to ALWAYS go for the dainty placement finish rather than going for pure power like Rom. This keeper is very, very good. You’re not likely to beat him with soft shots.

We’re fucking shocking. We looked like a machine that couldn’t lose and then with a few injuries we get smacked down about 5 levels. We look nowhere near a title winning team now. Playing directly into Leeds’ hands as well. We repeatedly get the ball into the final third and it slows to a crawl allowing them to pack in tight. This is embarrassing.

Our attack looks like last season. It’s just a black hole up there with zero happening.

But really, Leeds should be the perfect opponents to stop the rot. They play almost suicidal football even when fully fit which sees them get played through with ease. Leeds use the sort of tactical setup that players like Lukaku, Werner, Pulisic, and CHO should feast on. They’re hugely susceptible table to runs in behind on the break. It’s how Man United have put like 5 past them in each of their last two meetings.

You’re right. I had a brain fart and forgot that the next round isn’t played anytime soon. 🙃 Still, I definitely want to avoid Bayern for as long as possible.

Rüdiger I can sadly see leaving but I still can’t imagine that AC will. Toni is nearly 30 and probably wants one last massive contract and a new experience. I think we’ll really miss him both on and off the pitch. AC I think has to be more careful. He’s in the perfect team and in the perfect system that makes him look far better than I think he is. I think it would be a big mistake if he thinks he can go to another big club and replicate his form here. So I think he’ll come to his senses and re-sign. Would be insane if our club go into the summer needing to replace AC, Rüdiger, and possibly Azpi.

This club and expensive strikers, btw. Why the fuck is it like a curse for us? Of all the super clubs in Europe, almost EVERY striker we buy turns shit when they come to Chelsea. Weekend completely ruined and only to be made worse when Liverpool and City each batter their opponents. What’s the most depressing is that due to injuries we have to persist with these average players. Every game, even against fodder like Watford, is going to be a slog. First rough patch under TT now.

I haven’t wanted to admit it but I have to now after seeing the evidence so glaring there. We are worse with Rom up top than with Kai. We completely dominated the first half and carved through them with ease. Then we looked clueless and terrible second half when Rom came on.

Just a couple of key injuries and our incredible squad is exposed. Chilwell and Kante totally changes the way the entire team play. Lukaku is ice cold. Jorginho making sloppy mistakes. Mendy making sloppy mistakes. Now Havertz is injured. We could seriously slide down into a desperate top 4 fight with WH, Arse, United, and Spuds.

And there’s the title lost. Once Liverpool and City go ahead they aren’t relinquishing the lead. We don’t have the firepower consistently to win the title in front of those two sides. Nor the relentless mentality. If we don’t get Kante and Kova back as soon as possible even top 4 will be in danger.

Antonio and Bowen are destroying us over and over. We simply cannot deal with athletic, hard working players. We’re fucking soft. We’re actually making Bowen look like a world class player.

Mason gets SO many of those exact kinds of chances and finishes poorly like that repeatedly. Just rolls it softly to the keeper. It’s the one thing keeping him from being world class.
