It’s too early to call for his sacking now for sure, but what this team needs desperately is a manager who extracts the absolute maximum effort and quality out of players. Someone who makes even guys who are not at the very top class level play out of their skin. And most importantly a manager who has the team working as one cohesive unit. I had really bought into Poch being that manager in the buildup to the season but there is zero evidence that he’s going to be the miracle worker I had hoped thus far. I really did think he’d have us transformed in short order after that horror season. Not fighting with City, Arse, or Liverpool but in amongst the rest of the top 4 challengers. How is it possible that Spuds have been completely transformed and their manager who has never coached at a high level can come in and get them playing great football and scoring for fun but we have a super highly experienced coach who hasn’t improved us at all yet? And that’s after they’ve sold their best player who has carried them HARD for years!

The mentality and structure is what I was happy about in preseason. We looked cohesive and much more crisp on the ball. None of that translated to the real season. Honestly, I’m not seeing ANYTHING promising with Poch since the PL started. It’s extremely worrying.

We’re a complete disgrace of a team. How do things look so promising in preseason only to look like a team who have never trained together as soon as the real thing starts? This team just ruins every weekend just like last season. I’m just done letting it do so. Why watch if the players don’t give a shit? We continue to be the laughingstock of the football world. Everyone roasting us and rightfully so.

We’re running through midfield like Bournemouth doesn’t have anyone there. But the final ball is SHIT every time!

Mudryk started off promising but has disappeared since. And a lot of the time we don’t even look to his side of the pitch.

Good lord. Any other team in the top half of the PL puts away some of these chances we create. It’s beyond absurd at this point.

I’m perfectly happy if we have Enzo playing higher up once both Caicedo and Lavia are starting. But having him playing high up with Gallagher deep makes no sense to me. Gallagher is MICH more of an attacking threat than Enzo yet their roles are reversed by Poch. I just don’t get it.

Colwill really struggles against pace when he’s isolated at LB. He’s simply NOT a LB and I hate seeing him there. Especially with Mudryk as his help defender. Mudryk looks like a clueless child when defending.

Carving through them in midfield at will. Have to finish off a goddamn chance.

Pretty solid, cohesive performance so far. But still can’t finish as per usual.

Of ourse the weather is absolutely dogshit in a must win match for us which makes crosses like that much more difficult.

So Caicedo does have a small injury apparently. Why are we so fucking cursed with injuries as a club? No other big club in the world gets as many injuries as we do. And not just any players, but KEY players! We may not even see this new look midfield that we have all been hoping for until we’re already miles and miles out of contention for anything important.

I don’t like him out there at all. He has been in that area quite a bit when we’re out of possession and he has struggled in 1v1 situations.

Caicedo apparently arrived too late from international duty to be involved. Not even in the bench.

Colwill gonna get targeted at LB. As will Gallagher and Ugo in the middle.

If we don’t win this tomorrow I’m going to be taking a nice, multiple months long break from all things football. Not watching any matches, muting the hundreds of football related people I follow on Twitter etc. Can’t stomach another horror season like last one. With the talent we have in this squad it’ll be even more embarrassing than last season if we finish midtable again. If we fail to beat West Ham, Forest, and Bournemouth within our first 5 matches then we’re heading for another season like that.

As incredibly annoying as it is to see Spuds continuing this dream start under Big Ange, at least the silver lining of this poor start to our season is that United look even worse than us. They’ve been horrific in EVERY match they’ve played in the PL thus far. Even in their 2 wins they were tremendously fortunate that their opponent couldn’t finish despite dominating them. Seems I will be proved right with my prediction that they would take a considerable step back from last season’s position.

The blueprint has 100% been set on how to play against Chelsea when we use this formation by both WH & Forest. 1) Sit super deep and congest the box 2) Let us have all of the possession 3) Hoof long balls repeatedly up to a super physical, athletic striker who can bully our CB’s 1v1 4) Wait for the guaranteed horror show mistake that they pounce on and score 5) Shut the game down again defensively again Of course, what could destroy this game plan that every small club we come up against will use is to have an actual, natural attacking player instead of Chilly playing high up and most importantly of all SCORE BEFORE THEY DO. If we fucking scored goals before our opponents they’d then have to open up and chase the game.

Definitely his poorest performance yet for us but STILL should’ve scored at least 1. That Werner/Torres like miss was inexcusable. Think it’s pretty clear that Jackson may struggle against opponents like this and as a result the whole team will continue to struggle against low blocks with 10 men packed deep defending. He wants to run in behind and use open space to kill defenders with a quick turn and sprint. Being unable to do that really hampers him.

Everyone can score goals for fun except for us.
