Enzo need these last 2 preseason games badly to dial in his sharpness. Everything looks off right now for him.

Okay, just finished watching a full video of Disasi. He looks incredible! I wasn’t expecting to see such a big guy be as technically good as he is. Having not seen much of him I was expecting a Zouma type. In other words, big and physical but pretty questionable with the ball. Guess there’s a reason Ten Hag & Arteta were both interested in him. They like very technical CB’s. This could be a bargain if he translates his game well to the PL. Could have our long term Thiago Silva successor signed a year early.

Another experimental side? Again no Colwill so I have to assume he injured himself in that Brighton game. These last 2 preseason matches I figured Poch would play close to the team he uses for Liverpool to get everyone on the same page.

Looks like a beast physically, anyways. Should suit the PL well.

Will feel pretty bad for Trev if this signing means the end of him. He’s not an every match starter for a club like Chelsea but he is great squad cover. Genuinely loves the club, too. But in a back 4 we can’t have this many right sided CB options (4 when you include Fofana when he eventually comes back).

Oh, wow. Another target/transfer from absolutely nowhere with zero buzz beforehand. Almost feels like we HAVE walked away from Caicedo and are using that money on other areas instead. First the DM and now the right sided CB. Disasi has been a target for multiple other Big 6 clubs this summer.

We need a world class DM, one of Kudus or Cherki, and a solid goalkeeper to compete with and push Kepa HARD so that he feels that immense pressure to perform his best knowing that he could lose his spot again. Get those 3 and we can make a real push for 2nd-4th. Don’t get those and we’ll be competing with Spuds, Villa, Newcastle, and maybe Brighton for 5th-9th.

I sure fucking hope we have someone else lined up. Otherwise we’ve undermined the new manager before he has even started.

I just cannot imagine us dropping it this late. A top quality DM has been priority #1 since before the window opened. Entering the season with this new 19 year old and another couple of teenagers like Santos and Casadei is suicidal. Surely even non-football people like Boehly and Egbhali have been made aware of this?

What’s the point unless he’s being considered for the first team when there’s only 1 more match after today? Seeing him on the training pitch against cones or teammates isn’t going to be enough to know whether he’s good enough. Not in 1 week.

Hazard feels like he’s has basically retired. I haven’t seen a single link or rumor about him all summer. What a sad decline for a Chelsea legend. It’s as if he finally achieved his dream of making it to Real Madrid and then kinda gave up trying.

Still not one reliable or worthwhile source has said we’ve abandoned the Caicedo chase. Until Romano, Ornstein, Law, or Nizaar report it then just assume we’re still pushing. That being said, if we don’t end up getting Caicedo I think we can 100% kiss top 4 hopes goodbye. Perhaps even top 6. We will be much better than last season but still nowhere near good enough with just Enzo as our only top midfielder. Caicedo makes every other unit on the pitch better. We absolutely NEED to get him at this point.

Aren’t Brentford asking for like 35-40m for Raya? Why tf would Arse spend that much when they have Ramsdale? And why would a keeper that may be better than Ramsdale want to go to a club that has a set in stone #1 who Arse fans argued was the best keeper in the league last season?

I see the rumors that Ousmane Dembele could leave Barca and go to PSG. If that happens I can see them turning to Kudus to replace him. We should’ve wrapped that up a week ago if we are really interested.

As I said yesterday, pretty much all opposition fans think because we had a nightmare last season that it erased everything we’ve done for the past 2 decades. Even tiny clubs who have achieved nothing like Brighton are talking shit about us.

Tomorrow will tell us a lot. If the reliable English journalists like Ornstein or Law tell us this new kid is going on loan then Caicedo is still coming.

While I don’t really rate ANY of the moves United have made thus far you have to hand it to them for at least going out and getting all of Ten Hag’s #1 choice targets. First choice keeper, first choice midfielder, and first choice striker (they were never getting Kane). Now they’re instantly moving on to Amrabat. Meanwhile, we’ve made a grand total of 1 senior signing intended for the first XI this summer in Nico Jackson. Nkunku was signed in January. We finished 12th, the next season starts in about 2 weeks, and we have no midfield right now.

You could’ve scored those 3 goals, Vesper! 🤣🤣🤣 I really don’t want to sound like a hater because I haven’t even watched him match to match. But highlight reels on YouTube are supposed to make even average players look like beasts and I’ve watched numerous highlight videos of him and he just looks like a run of the mill striker at a small club. That striker we’re linked with from Montpellier, Elye Wahi looks MUCH more impressive to my eye than Hojlund does. And they’re the same age!

He’s not even one of those young strikers who was scoring a silly number of goals and banging in worldie after worldie from outside of the box. He’s not a striker who dribbles past defenders for fun. He’s not particularly good in the air. I just don’t see this super talent that he’s hyped up to be.
