after listening to jose talk today, i can say this,HE LL BE BACK!!!
-
out of 6 players for the am position, 4 are 22 and below oscar, hazard, kdb, schurlle, the rest are 25 willian and mata. so even if willian and mata both play atleast one of the "youth" will be playing. that argument itself is invalid. these are players who are proven at different levels. each of them has already played a part in their NT, in their clubs' success all over europe. even kdb played for genk in CL before coming to chelsea, hazard at lille, mata at valencia, schurlle with leverkusen. "youth" argument would be most apt if some1 like mvg, ake make thru to the team and are played. oscar is already a proven player as is mata and even more complete than mata. mou is not choosing oscar to develop him and all that jazz, he is choosing oscar cos he wants a team with defensive organization, discipline, workrate as well with their creativity.
-
i am not sure if it was he or someone else who put the low-cross that etoo almost scored from when he got ahead of stockdale. but yes, most of his crosses are purely executed and well worthless since no striker of ours goes to win the ball.
-
the team that we played tonight is our first team (maybe except for schurlle). and we will play these "defense-minded" players no matter what. moreover u cant blame mou for being extra-cautious today. a defeat today would have been disastorous. as for fulham, they got some decent players in that side. berba dint play, taraabt, rodalegga. they ll be fine. much like west ham last season. just surviving on the home form. performance based, everton was a GOOD DISPLAY. we got very unlucky and made a big-big defensive mistake against them. everton is a side which makes u pay for every mistake and that is what happened.
-
time to shuffle the pack. schwarzer azpi kalas (?) luiz bertrand essien/lamps mvg willian mata kdb torres. time to mata to show his true class. come on juanito.
-
true but even then they were able to stop fulham from having even a good shot on target except for that one oppurtunity. at the end of the day what matters is getting a clean sheet. cahill-jt have played 3 matches together, got 2 clean sheets and conceded a goal which was absolutely unstoppable (benteke).also we look comfortable with this combo at the back.
-
the high did seem to cause a problem or 2 in the start but dealt with it brilliantly i probably should have elaborated more on them but one chance in the start of the match does make it a poor performance. they were rock solid after that and fulham dint even have a half chance. anyways the sentence itself showed that i do "watch the match well". for me cahill-jt is the best CB partnership we have right now. they look solid while playing together.
-
i fucking love mourinho and his quotes. time for mata to really step up.
-
mou has already said that romelu wont be called back in jan
-
another brilliant performance. should work on his crosses though.
-
???? cech - good stop to keep it 0-0 from bent. THAT WAS THE FIRST THING I WROTE FOR CECH. people seriously need to read better.
-
i thought when it came to lukaku we were simply supposed to say "he is not ready". infact i heard somewhere that he was thinking of changing his name to ROMELU "NOT YET READY" LUKAKU.
-
brilliant performance. defensively was a beast. and mighty big congratulations to him. hope he goes on a roll and makes up for the previous years.
-
17 PL goals for wba and 1 goal for everton in 45 minutes. but who cares. he is just 20. we should look at his age not at his play. also we have the best striker force in the world and its not biggie that they have not scored in 7 matches yet. so as u can everything points to the fact that "HE IS NOT READY".
-
motm - oscar. bossed the midfield. brilliant performance. dint put a foot wrong all match. even in the 1st half, his movement was wonderful and the only thing that was lacking was a ball from the deep from either mikel/ramires.9/10 cech - good stop to keep it 0-0 from bent. that could have been a nail in the coffin. dealt with everything safely (though u can say he had nothing much to deal with). 8/10 JT and cahill - brilliant. the high did seem to cause a problem or 2 in the start but dealt with it brilliantly. 8/10 ivanovic - defensively , he was great workrate was awesome but attackingly he should improve his crosses. 7.5/10 cole - nothing much different from ivanovic. needs to improve his attacking play if we are going to continue pushing our full backs forward.7.5/10 rambo - great energy, even during the end kept running back and forth but the incisive passes to open up a defence when 0-0 is what will cost us. 7/10 mikel - congratualtions to the big guy on his 1st goal and hopefully he goes on a roll. was absolutely brilliant in the 2nd half. won many balls. drove us forward. and got a goal. close 2nd to motm. 8.5/10 hazard - was horrendous in the 1st half. lost the ball a lot of times. had no link-up play with cole and simply dint contribute anything to the attack. after the 1st goal, started getting a lot of space, so got into his own then. 6/10 schurlle - workrate was good. but his shots are poor and his delivery from corners and free-kicks is abysmall. i mean lamps had one corner to take and that resulted in a goal but 12 corners from schurlle and oscar, we were not even a threat. co-incidence, i dont think so. 6.5/10 etoo - shoulh have scored when he got ahead of the goalie early on. with ivanovic whipping in 5-10 crosses in the box, we need some1 who can be a danger with the ball in the box and its not him. was awol in the first half. 6.5/10 all in all it was a more of a relied than jubilance. our first half performance was worrisome. its not the first time that a team has come to the bridge and parked the bus. but it was the absolute ease with which fulham were defending. we were toothless in the first half and it showed how much long we still have to go in terms of creativity. we could have gone a goal down early on which would have been really bad.
-
hopeless. fucking hopeless.
-
bent staring... fuck!!! atleast taraabt is not, so hope cole does not get screwed as badly as i expected.
-
line-up?
-
i dint even read your post. all i read was the answer which got me seething. so no hard feelings there. if young billy was able to provide with the best RESULTS, i would gladly continue him meanwhile giving billy the chance to prove himself too. 2 starts in the season is not enough to say that mata has been shit. if we are willing to give hazard the benefit of doubt after 6 starts, etoo , willian, schurlle then i feel out POTY deserves as much. my point is exactly that. chelsea should be the priority. not mata and not oscar. but when a coach comes out and says "oscar is the main man, and any1 else would have to displace him" sends out a very wrong message. also read barbara's post. in it only that one line about was bolded and size was increased and what i read then was shocking. people actually saying things like "mata is living off his reputations" . after what??? 2 starts? 2 starts in the season is mainly for fitness concerns when a player had played 45 minutes of the pre-season.
-
lets hope for the best. lets just hope that whatever 11 are selected, just come out to prove a point and play their hearts out.
-
did u see rvp's goal against leverkusen. it was something out of nothing. absolutely nothing. a shit cross that was played behind him and full pace but ended in the back of the net. thats the class of striker u want when u r 1-1 at home on matchday1 in CL. and at the end of the season, that is what makes the difference. etoo has got service. everton game-he should have bagged a hat-trick. the basel game , i accept that the whole team was shit but that is when a WC striker shows his quality.
-
when mata has played this season, we have DOMINATED EVERTON for 55 minutes and then looked pathetically lost when playing without him. the only other match that mata started, he looked hopelessly unfit and it was his first minutes on the pitch with just 45 minutes in pre-season, so if we can give hazard the benefit of doubt for 6 matches, etoo for 2 etc. etc... we can give mata the same consideration too.
-
first of all, it was to show YOUR BIAS towards a player. it was to show your pre-judice. now lets take the all of your post into consideretion tell me when did the national team become the criteria to select our players for club football. i mean does mikel play as a cam/cm for chelsea like he does for nigeria. if rambo conviniently dropped out of the squad like he is for brazil. no he is our first name on the team-sheet, ahead of cech, jt, oscar, mata, hazard, because we look pathetic in mid without him. let me give u a clear idea. players play 10 matches a year at an average for their nations while they play 60 for their clubs. they spend 40 weeks out of 52 with their clubs while just the remaining 12 with the NT. its the club performances that normally defines a player. not his NT performances/position. then u say that if people only care about mata, then they will slag mou and oscar but so conviniently defend them with the youth argument, completely neglecting what our results and performances have been so far. lastly, as i said in my previous post. CFC is not about oscar's development, its about the right results and right balance. if it means chucking out mata on the bench would give us the right result then i am 100% in but when right now things are not looking so rosy and ideal, hence we should be thinking of doing what i best for the team not for oscar.
-
and now i read How long is Mata going to be allowed to live off of previous seasons reputations? and the answer to that was "forever and ever". 6 matches. 6 fucking matches out of which he startes just 2 and mata is already living off his previous season reputation. un-fucking-believable. disgraceful.
-
oh really? so tell me what do u do if a player is out of form. never play him until he magically gets in form after waking up one morning, or keep him benched till the season ends till he loses all his confidence. read my post carefully. i said "yes, very true dude because CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB is all about developing oscar not about getting the right results and the right balance. LOL-MAX post. " do u understand what right balance is? does right balance mean playing mata 90 minutes of every game with no consideration to his form? hell NO. so please read a post CAREFULLY and INTELLIGENTLY before attacking a fellow poster.
