Don't see why Torres deserves to start tomorrow. He has done nothing of note in the last few games (in fact in almost every game he has played for us) so why should he get a chance to 'rebuild his confidence' at the expense of Drogba who needs to do the same thing. I'd stick Danny Sturridge up front with Drogba. Mata playing just in behind. Even if Drogba can't be fucked he's still be better than Torres at the moment We do have a dreadful record in early kick offs so I'd be surprised with a win

If we are trying to deal with an ageing squad then why get rid of Alex when we have Ferreira who seems surplus to requirements at the moment? Also, are the board genuinely this stupid? (Well yes they probably are but...) What happened around November/December last season when a couple of injuries and suspensions set in? Thats right, against Sunderland Paulo Ferreira partnered Ivanovic at centre back and we all know what happened then! We would be straight back to where we were for the first half of last season if we sold Alex except we would have Luiz instead of Alex. I wouldn't be surprised if Luiz picked up a few suspensions this season too. We would need to buy a new centre back in January

I'd say Villas Boas has 2 games to save his job. A loss at Newcastle and failing to qualify for the Champions League against Valencia will surely be the final nail in the coffin of the Villas Boas era unfortunately.
