  1. If we can beat them at the start of the season with pretty much our reserves and them being 1 week ahead of us in match fitness then we should beat them this time too
  2. were are you sitting? I'm in area H Row I
  3. must be getting desperate if you are using articles from the sun to back up your argument. It publishes stuff like this:
  4. fair play to Mick McCarthy. Most managers would have gone ballistic in the post match interview over Lampard's tackle and blame a defeat solely on it but he was honest and said he didn't see it. He also helped my Auntie to put some compost into her car at Homebase once
  5. I have a good idea. How about we play this guy or at least put him on the bench! he has been doing well for the reserves and was very encouraging against Norwich on his debut, with Juan Mata stealing the headlines by scoring on his debut. He is obviously not that bad if he has an almost 50% scoring record for Anderlecht. Of course the Belgian league is not the Premier League but for an 18 year old (16 and 17 for some of his Anderlecht career too) that is pretty amazing.
  6. was really pleased for him to be on the bench yesterday. He is obviously making very good progress. Hopefully that was the start of an amazing comeback
  7. I think it we will either play out a scrappy 1-1 draw or get beaten convincingly 2-0 or 3-0. This team does not have any 'confidence' because they have been arrogant going into games against the likes of Wigan, expecting to win 3-0 or 4-0 only to be given a nasty surprise. They don't deserve to get beaten because most of the team wouldn't care anyway, it would be the fans who would be most hurt by another defeat.
  8. I will never criticise the team if we lose and they have all given 100%. What pees me off is when they don't care, lose a game against a side we should really be comfortably winning and then walk off the pitch with a smug look on their face knowing that a big fat pay cheque will still be coming their way. I'm going to Wolves tomorrow and have paid around £45-50 of my own money for the trip which is quite a lot for a 15 year old who does a weekly paper round. If the players again play like they don't care then I will be absolutely distraught because it is unfair that people travel all that way to get behind the team yet they still don't give a fuck.
  9. This guy won't come cheap. We should have got him when he was at Getafe and we would have had a bargain. The Valencia President said they would not consider anything less than around £35m or something as well
  10. He apparently had a poor attitude in training
  11. We can still attract players if we don't make the Champions League. 1. Players are aware that we are a top club and will not be fooled by not making the Champions League one season 2. What attracted Robinho to Man City? What attracted Samuel Eto'o to Anzhi? High wages. As far as football goes, a large proportion of players don't give a damn over whether they are playing Champions League football as long as a fat pay cheque comes to them at the end of every week.
  12. fair play to you mate. I really did not think that comment through. Malouda was one of our best players against Fulham. Like you said, Cole and Drogba have been poor yet its Anelka/Kalou/Malouda who get it in. Malouda has been the best of those 3 this year.
  13. We could use a portion of that money to give Malouda a big fat pay cheque and tell him to fuck off
  14. There was a really horrible atmosphere around the ground today. This was made worse when the stadium was 50% empty after Villa went 2-1 up. People were shouting 'Who is this muppet?' and 'We were better under Ancelotti' where I sit. Unlike when we were trounced by Sunderland last season at home, those of us left really did not see it as too much of a surprise and just sat there wondering how the team had got like this. There was a bit of support coming from us in the Shed and also in the Matthew Harding Lower too. By the 85th minute the stadium was pretty silent with only the small number of Villa fans singing 'We are winning away, we are winning away, how shit must you be, we are winning away'. There was a chorus of boos from what was left (probably 15-20 000 odd) and deservedly so. People in the stadium have pretty much given up for this year and everyone just left in silence. Forgot to mention people leaving arguing with people staying. One person saying shouted 'Go on fuck off we don't need your gloryhunting support' to which an angry woman replied how 'Cech and Lampard should have been sold years ago' My reaction to that *faceplant*
  15. for example: who gave the ball away for Villa's third goal? Frank Lampard. Not AVB
  16. once again AVB will get it in the neck for the players not giving a fuck
  17. The atmosphere is always better once the plastics leave when we are losing Just got back from the game. One word: Disgraceful.
  18. It is often the agent who demands more money so that they get a larger share. Like Wilson said, he does not seem like the sort of person who would be greedy
  19. didn't our website say that we have to want to sell him though? Surely we would not be stupid enough to effectively take him on a 2 year loan (actually with Gourlay in charge we probably are)
