I'm more interested in him than ever before. Ba's showed some glimpses for us, and Balotelli is capable of playing that kind of role (AND much more). Sometimes you need a player who can create something out of nothing and Balotelli can do that much better than Costa. If we can have a strike-force of Balotelli, Costa and Lukaku, I think we'll win some trophies.

Anyone see Virgil van Dijk's pic with Luiz last night? Most likely nothing and I've only seen him on youtube just now, but man, this guy as a defender has a highlight reel attacking midfielders would be proud of - incredibly athletic, big, and GREAT passing. It's impossible to measure if he's any good defensively, but colour me intrigued

This and adorability are two areas where we miss Mata massively. I don't think anyone in particular's exceptional in this area, so whoever feels confident out of Lamps, Luiz, Willian and Oscar should take it.

Think that's more PR than meaningful development that will result in a PL player. Considering their football history, it will be a great achievement if Malaysia could generate a pro player who can play in Europe let alone a Chelsea-level player. Also I don't agree with signing an Asian player for his marketing potential. I doubt the Japanese are in love with Moyes and United now after they turned one of the key players for Dortmund into a fringe player who can't even make the squad.
