He's going to be our 5th choice attacking midfielder with Ramires available to play RW if needed. At 15M euros, a poor man's Willian who will have good resale value for next 5 years would be optimal. We can't afford a squad full of world class players, or do you want to spend 40M on someone like Draxler to sit on the bench instead of Mata.

What I like about this kid is that unlike other flashy wonderkids we've had like Kakuta and Boga, he can have big influence throughout the game. It's something I'd like to see Boga improve. 17 is still young, but I do think there needs to be at least somewhat consistent production even at that level.

Because football is a sport that's hard to judge using statistics. Even the advanced stats that clubs have are unreliable; raw stats that are available to the public are largely misleading because you need context. Pass completion rate for example have lots of variables like distance, defenders in between, pressure the passer is under, pace of the pass, movement of the target etc. Also take a look at their PL best XI so far. Patrice Evra, who has been dreadful this season, made the team, and they have Gerrard there too.

With Bertrand gone for rest of the season, I think we are bringing someone in. LB: Azpi, Cole CB: JT, Cahill, Luiz RB: Ivanovic, Azpi That's 6 for 4 positions assuming Kalas will go out on loan. Maybe we are thinking about converting Schurrle to a LB lol

We are going to be comfortably ahead of Spurs. Ramires and Matic are two best midfielders from the two clubs. Paulinho hasn't settled in as well as everyone thought he would, Sandro's always injured, and Dembele hasn't been great since Tottenham beat United in 2012 (I think)
