Jose isn't exactly known for fast starts despite results suggesting otherwise. The reason Ba lost form is because he kept getting rotated for blondie, he actually started pretty well despite his lack of goals, tailed off a bit in the end (the FA cup goals against the Mancs aside). If he goes somewhere where he is number 1 and given a run of games (what he should have got last season) he will score goals. Sturridge wasn't scoring because he was never playing, when he did play he got chances and usually scuffed them and as or Torres, he is just a shocking footballer, nothing more needs to be said.

Pellegrini is a better manager than Moyes, people go on about how Moyes overachieved at Everton with a limited budget, well Pellegrini had worse restriction's at Villareal and mananged to get to a CL semi final (tanning Moyes's backside in the process) aswell as breaking the Madrid-Barca duopoly (the only to do that since 2004) also another CL q/f to go with that. Not to mention Malaga where they were bankrupt and not getting paid but still got them top 4 then a CL quarter final place (robbed of a semi appearance by the ref). If Moyes overachieved at Everton, then Pellegrini is literally a magican for what he did at those two clubs.

He was great when he came on, but remember he is still young, give him time to develop before we go pining our hopes on them. We need a new forward before the end of the window so him and Lukaku can rotate while Ba or Torres plays the Carlton Cole 05/06 role.

Benteke is just a beast, if our strike record is still looking poor next summer, we should go all out for him.

Ba showed today he is better than Torres but still nowhere near good enough to lead the line for us, hopefully we get a forward who can rotate with Lukaku, Martinez or Yilmaz would be ideal.

What an incredible player we have, superb engine, under-rated finisher and his technical ability is getting better by the day, it will never be up there with the best, but that isn't his job so it doesn't matter. He will be our most important player this season, we can rotate the 6 behind the forward depending on who we are playing, but whenever Rami is out, we will feel his loss. He will get even better under Mourinho. What i do hope is Jose starts working on aspects of his game other than pace, because that won't be around forever and if he carries on relying on that, his decline when his pace does go (or god for bid gets a nasty injury) will be steeper than Essien's.

If you play teams without active manager's you instantly have a huge advantage unless the gulf in class is beyond ridiculous, the form off those players will be completely shot to pieces without a manager guiding them.
