I don't think Cleverly is an average as people like to make out, but Ramires is unbelievable and looks to be getting even better under Jose. De Gea is going to be a great keeper is he isn't already, but he needs more than a appearance in team of the season to reach Cech's heights.

We were heading through on away goals before he scored and even then he lost the ball in the final 3rd before that and it nearly cost us, Bosingwa off all people made a vital interception that stopped two Barca players going one on one against Cech, yet no one praises Bosingwa for that moment, Bosingwa was a nightmare for us, but saved us in that moment. He has got stellar treatment at Chelsea, he practically got a free pass into the team because of his price tag and name, where-as forwards before had to work hard to get in the team then work twice as hard to stay in the team (Hasselbaink, Drogba), Torres got a free pass and still done sod all. Torres always knew if he ever left Liverpool he would command a huge fee, other players have dealt with the pressure of it and don't be me that quiet thing, he sulked after Munich for not starting ahead of Didier fucking Drogba and had a strop when we didnt' give him a penalty in the shootout. Cech is part of the defense, so if he made excellent saves, then he makes excellent saves. Teams with world class keepers tend to get more "luck", it's not a coincidence.

Fully agree regarding Lukaku, he is a good player with a great future but just simply isn't ready to lead the line at a club with design's on winning the title and judging by the fact were after a new forward, Jose seems to agree.

Actually i think the opposite, the bigger games (despite his experience) he shouldn't play (unless we are losing with 20 minutes to go then chuck him on), it's the smaller teams who won't attack us as much are the one's Lamps should play in.

Jose isn't exactly known for fast starts despite results suggesting otherwise. In 04/05 despite winning 6 and drawing 2 of our first 8, we weren't convincing in any of them and in 05/06 we started the season with wins against Wigan and Arsenal but with performances similar to what we witnessed tonight.

The reason Ba lost form is because he kept getting rotated for blondie, he actually started pretty well despite his lack of goals, tailed off a bit in the end (the FA cup goals against the Mancs aside). If he goes somewhere where he is number 1 and given a run of games (what he should have got last season) he will score goals. Sturridge wasn't scoring because he was never playing, when he did play he got chances and usually scuffed them and as or Torres, he is just a shocking footballer, nothing more needs to be said.

Pellegrini is a better manager than Moyes, people go on about how Moyes overachieved at Everton with a limited budget, well Pellegrini had worse restriction's at Villareal and mananged to get to a CL semi final (tanning Moyes's backside in the process) aswell as breaking the Madrid-Barca duopoly (the only to do that since 2004) also another CL q/f to go with that. Not to mention Malaga where they were bankrupt and not getting paid but still got them top 4 then a CL quarter final place (robbed of a semi appearance by the ref). If Moyes overachieved at Everton, then Pellegrini is literally a magican for what he did at those two clubs.

He was great when he came on, but remember he is still young, give him time to develop before we go pining our hopes on them. We need a new forward before the end of the window so him and Lukaku can rotate while Ba or Torres plays the Carlton Cole 05/06 role.

Benteke is just a beast, if our strike record is still looking poor next summer, we should go all out for him.
