  1. Imagine KDB playing under Roy
  2. Well this supposed FFP constraint is hardly stopping City spunking £100m, so considering we turned over an (all be it small) profit last year, i hardly think we would have any problem doing the same if need be.
  3. Jose won't make Torres #1 forward no way, will he really pick a forward who has gone on atleast 1 major goal drought for the last 3 season's? At best he will play the Kaka role (by that i mean in terms of spa-radical appearances) When Jose made those comment's about how forwards who aint number 1 should consider leaving because it's the world cup year, it was widely assumed that was a hint to Rooney, personally i think that is a hint to Torres, he wants the fuker out.
  4. Don't think i can be accused of club biased, this time last year i nearly caused a riot by suggesting Cahill wasn't that good Go on youtube and search his run against Sheff.Wed where he just glided past about half of their team, tell me Wilshere, Cleverly or whoever else English could do that. But as i said it's one thing having the talent to play at the top (which he does) but talent is only 10% of the equation if even that, i i knew 2 people growing up and played football against them a lot, player x was better than player y by a distance, but do you know what happened? player y broke into the Plymouth first team under Peter Reid at 17 (all be it for not very long) while the other (player x) is currently stacking shelves in Tesco playing in the same pub league i do. In terms of over-all package Josh still has a while to go, but in terms of natural talent, he has it and then some.
  5. It's all part of the development process, first give him the job of helping break down stubborn defenses, then slowly work on his defensive side, he's still 20 so there's no rush.
  6. Im not saying start him in a Champions League semi final at the Allianz Arena, but he could be useful against team's like Hull especially who will park the jumbo jet infront of their goal.
  7. Although we haven't kicked a competitive ball yet, Jose has reminded me why he is the best in the world. Most manager's would have probably gone along with loaning KDB back out, Jose said no and brought him back in, most manager's would have just said yes to MVG's loan request, Jose said no. He just always seem's to be that step ahead.
  8. Yes i know it was a pre season friendly. Yes i know this team are probably as good as Aldershot but McEachran really impressed me when he came on His range of passing is just ridiculous, he made the rest of our team look beginners at passing when he came on and i think Jose might be working on his physical side too, just after he came on he barged one of their players off the ball. Look at the pass he made to Wallace before the Brazilian assisted Moses for the 4th goal, had 2 players pressurizing him but he released the ball to Wallace without breaking sweat. What he is lacking is the youthful confidence he had when he broke through under Ancelotti, who better to give it back to him then Mourinho, i really believe he will benefit more from staying with us (even if he only plays 15-20 games) than going on loan again and playing from some clueless Muppet like Tony Mowbray In terms of natural talent he is the best young English player by an absolute mile (even over Wilshere) he needs to sort the mentality side of things and get a personal fitness coach because he's always knackered and drifts out of the game after an hour.
  9. Truth hurt? Rooney was dropped for the return match because he was stupidly out of his depth at the Bernaubeu. He didn't make a single positive impact in the game and was rightly on the bench for the return. There's been 4 Champions of the Turkish League in 20 years, 1 less than the so called invincible PL where players have to play in to prove their footballers,2 more than the SPL and equal to the Portuguese. Maybe one day Neymar will come to the PL to prove he is better than Stuart Downing. Its not one good season tho is it.
  10. The Portuguese league has been a two horse race since aslong as i can remember. Galatasaray finished 8th as recently as 2011 with Bursaspor winning it the season before, that's the equivalent of Braga winning the PL with Porto finishing 8th the following season, willthat ever happen? no chance. For 2 reason's. 1. He did last season. 2. If Torres successfully done it he will more than fancy his chances. He was left out of the 2nd leg because he looked lost in The Bernanbeu, completely out of his depth. You really think that he would say that if it was the truth (putting United in a strong negotiating position with all our eggs in one basket).Jose isn't Harry Redknapp, he won't reveal behind the scenes stuff unless it's bullshit or he has an ulterior motive. Hakan Sukar in his prime was better than both Torres and Ba currently, and his goal record in that league (which isn't as strong as today) doesn't touch the sides comparedto Yilmaz.
  11. Jesus and i thought people over-reacted at a semi decent Torres performance. Hopefully Essien can turn out to be a decent squad option this season, but im saying this for you own sakes, any one who thinks their's a chance of "the Bison" back, get that idea out of your head now.
  12. Regarding Moyes i know it's early to say but so far he is reminding me why i wanted us to stay clear of him, he looks like is struggling big time with the transition to club with no huge expectation's to a club with massive expectation's. I can really see another Roy here, i wonder what the odds are on him getting sacked by February with Fergie doing a Dalgish.
  13. 1. Wages Ill start with the big one early, Rooney will command astronomical wages, we would have to pay him wages in the region of 220k, a move that will also see John Terry get paid the same amount due to the clause in his contract that he will match the highest paid earner. Yilmaz however will be on mild wages in comparison and will be easier to shift if it does all go wrong. 2. Hunger Rooney looks like he has lost motivation and yes it is easy to say this move would re-energize him but that was the same thing that was said about Torres, he is bored, he needs a new challenge bla bla. When you lose motivation for your job it's hard to just switch the light back on, even if you want too. Yilmaz on the other hand is on the back off 2 (arguably 3) incredible season's will probably relish the chance to come to Stamford Bridge and show the whole of Europe what he is truly about. 3. Attitude Rooney has been throwing a strop for the last year about RVP being the new main man at the club, so say Rooney flops and Lukaku is on fire, Rooney is on the bench and it will be like Torres again (sulking because he is not playing even tho he is lucky to even be on the bench) which will most likely mean we will have to go through the same shit United are right now. Yilmaz will most likely accept that he has competition for his place instead of assuming it as a god given right. 4. Late bloomer doesn't mean crap Yilmaz had his first great season at the age of 25, Drogba has his first great season at the age of 24. Im not for one second saying Yilmaz will become as good as Drogba, but just because it takes a while to truly establish yourself doesn't mean your not any good. Yilmaz is one of the most inform forwards in Europe and has been for some time. It's not like he has had one great season, he has had 3. Rooney was an earlier bloomer and has early burn out written all over him, Yilmaz will be eager for the step up and to truly make his name. 5. His record is amazing and in a very strong European League. No doubt i will get hit in the responses below that he is "only doing it in the Turkish League", now the Turkish league is not the Hungarian 4th division (no disrespect to that league) it is a strong European league (arguably the best after the top 4) and Yilmaz has been walking all over it for a while now. In Europe their is the big four league's that are the top 4 undebatably, then after that it is between three for 5th place, Turkish, French and Portuguese. Despite the influx of PSG and Monaco in the French league, the Turkish can still make a case for their league being the best of the rest (outside the big four). 87 goals in 109 games over 3 season's is a bloody good record. Rooney may well be PL proven, but so was Torres and so was Wright Phillips. Signing a PL proven player has just as much risk involved than signing a player that's never played in it, as we should know as much as anyone. Im not saying Yilmaz will 100% be a success, but on wages alone i would rather take a punt on him than sign what i think is a past it Rooney. Click here to view article.
  14. If rather sign Rooney, make him captain and sack Jose for Big Sam.
  15. It is important to get the balance yes but i feel its exaggerated just how much. It's the same at the back especially at full back, Bosingwa was widely thought to be better than Ivanovic at RB a few years ago just because he was a perceived attacking fullback. Why is Kyle Walker so highly rated when he is one of the worst fullbacks i have ever seen? For the attacking trio their attacking ability should be looked at first, the same with defenders should be able to defend first and foremost. 2010/2011 nearly all our attacking players did ok in a defensive aspect but were borderline comatose when it came to doing what they were supposedly best at - attacking.
  16. I dont believe for a second Jose was telling the truth when he said yes to the Rooney or bust question. He's not Harry Redknapp, he wouldn't reveal something like that to the media without an ulterior motive.
  17. Is there anywhere i can watch the full game again?
  18. Forget him and go for Yilmaz or (i can't believe im saying this) Suarez. A mix of im that desperate not to see us sign Rooney and i don't want to see Arsenal's side strengthened means im breaking the previous stance i had on Suarez.
  19. I have not spoke to one United fan yet unhappy at the thought of him leaving to a title rival. Says it all.
  20. It's not the first time a manager gets appointed and uses past things he had no part in and referred to it as "we". AVB in his first press conference regularly referred back to 10/11 and used the phrase "we". For example "we got back in the title race, but then went to Old Trafford and conceded inside 30 seconds". I have seen it many times before with manager and players, i think Hiddink referred to Moscow in the same manner when a potential rematch in Rome looked possible (could be wrong it was a long time ago).
  21. I think Jose should do to Josh what he did to Huth. Have him in and around the squad for a year or two, play him whenever possible and then make a decision on his long term future.
  22. Scored twice in Seville's first pre season friendly You really couldn't make it up.
  23. Did you remember that fully? he clearly stated and acknowledged that Roberto was the manager in that moment.
  24. The thing is Essien is in a stage of his career where he can just fill in and play the games needed, Romeu needs games to avoid stagnating, the damage is already done as far as Essien is concerned.
