  1. I do agree in a sense, but out of the top 8 i can only see City and possibly Tottenham being a nuisance to us physically. The physical teams below the top 8, we still should be far too good for if we bring anything above our b game (for example, see the Stoke away game last season). I think we will be in a similar way to United under Fergie this campaign under Jose this term, their's still weakness in our squad but domestically it won't harm us too much, it will be the CL were we will get our fingers burned.
  2. We finished 3 points behind City last season and have considerably improved our squad, the only difference between us last season was the head to head's. I can see City dropping a lot more silly points than us this term, which could be the difference even if they beat us twice.
  3. I just watched back Jose's interview after the City vs Madrid game when he was asked about Robbie getting sacked for Rafa and looking at it now, you could tell in his eyes he was not liking the fact his arch rival was in his (what was at the time) former seat.
  4. So one whole week of hearing how City are this super team that will take over the world, great.
  5. Funny how there's always people here to defend Torres no matter what, i wonder were these people were when Kalou was getting it, joining in probably
  6. Ivan--Luiz---JT---Cole That back 4 = clean sheets.
  7. Because he cost £50m, i can't think of one forward in my life time as a Chelsea supporter (with the exception of Sutton) who hasn't looked like Pele in comparison to Torres.
  8. I dont think letting Sturridge go is as big a mistake as some make out (eventually we will have a world class forward that will stop us bumping Danny's thread every time he scores for Liverpool) but to say Torres is better than Sturridge and worse try and give reason's for it, is a joke.
  9. Offer him to Real Madrid, Carlo can't fall for this twice, can he?
  10. @Muzchap, Despite sitting back a bit in the second half Hull only had one real good chance which was the Curtis Davies header. We were in complete control.
  11. That's about the 10th time you have said it now, we get it.
  12. Whether we go on a massive unbeaten home run under Jose again will depend on the rub of the green (even in his last spell, there were times we came very close to losing the record) but one thing is for sure, very few teams will be dominating matches at SW6 any more.
  13. Because of the Inter match in 2010, this time we know how it feels for opposition supporters to face a Mourinho team, the man's meer presence strikes the fear of god into you. As for him being on your side, well put it this way, i am never arrogant enough to claim a victory before kick off, but their was times (like today) under Jose where i was 99% sure, the aura of confidence and assurance he brings is unrivaled in the modern game.
  14. That's an option but on the other hand it would be harder for manager's to give their youngsters the right amount of playing time to develop, maybe find 8 new manager's (by the time this season end's their be lots of new members on this forum) and do the 4 division's again? I am speaking a bit too soon however, were only 3 games into this one
  15. @CHOULO19, Is the 12 team league likely to be a one off, or something we adopt permanently from here on in? I say that because while it's a good thing now while it's new, 11 week season's might start to wear thin if their done season upon season.
  16. Even in the second half when we let our foot off the gas, Hull only really had one chance which was the Curtis Davies header. Their was never any danger of us blowing this. Annoyingly my stream kept cutting out in the first half, so does anyone know where i can watch the full match again? if someone could provide me with a website i will be forever grateful.
  17. The general rule when playing Villa at home is we embarrass them or ourself's. so brace yourself.
  18. Ramires only had one season in that league before coming here. No risk, no reward.
  19. He worked harder than usual, but was still awful. Not even Jose can fix him.
  20. Despite getting 7/9 points it hasn't been that great a start for me, but this team is a work in progress if we don't go up this time its not the end of the world.
  21. Happy with that, what we need to remember is we have Villa on Wednesday, we could have gone gun hoe and hit 6, but then we would be knackered for Villa. That was our problem under Carlo, when went gun hoe for 90 minutes and battered teams it was great, but if we had a game a few days later we would pay the price, rather two 2-0's than an 8-0 and 1-1.
  22. The contrast to the welcome we have given our last 2 manager's, talk about one extreme or the other
  23. If he starts today then Jose will completely contradict himself.
  24. If his release clause is 35m euro's what on this earth are we waiting for?
