Hello Everybody, I'm new to this forum!
Tomo replied to Safir Zawad's topic in New Members - Say Hello!
We only needed a draw vs Liverpool so technically Desailly got the clincer as far as CL qualification was concerned -
Our medical team is light years ahead of Arsenal's, he will be fine.

If he suffers a serious injury and loses some of his pace and athleticsism his career at the top level would be well and truly over. Bit of an enigma this lad, his attributes will come in handy in certain situations, but if an offer of 20m plus comes in........

A lot is made of football related feuds, some people actually realise that they are in a result based profession and sometimes thing's happen. Big Sam and Jose probably laughed at there little digs at each other over a bottle of wine after soccer aid. Cesc and Jose were on separate sides of 2 major rivals twice before, if there wasn't a little bit of tension between them then one of them aren't doing their job properly. Like with Jose and Eto'o, now both are batting for the same side, expect any past tensions to be forgotten pretty quickly.

I wouldn't bother, you are more likely to change Phil Drivers mind regarding Mikel.

Apparently could be avalible for a low price this summer, could be a good option. Can play up front or out wide and is fast as fuck, after all its all about the squad game.
-
He needs to ne used in situations that actually suit him, hes ideal as a squad player. So basically when we are playing 4 3 3 or are defending a lead then Rami would come in useful. When we are chasing games he should seldom be on unless tje midfields tired and the oppo gaffer is some stubborn idiot who refuses to sit back.

All I keep hearing is he is going to move back to RB with Luis at LB and we will romantically be creating 50 chances a game from swashbuckling crosses. Azpi not looking great going forward last season was not down to the fact he was playing at left back, it was down to the fact he isnt that good at it. Hes ok at link up play down the flank but crossing leaves a lot to be desired.

Another average game and thekid9 will be all over this thread saying were better of giving Torres another chance.
-
Agger. Most times I see him he looks out of his depth, yet is widely regarded as a solid defender. I just dont get it.

Underneath all that bluster they are the most insecure group of people around. The way they acted after Arsenal made a bid for Suarez was cringeworthy. Rodgers, FSG and the fans acted like a bunch of 5 year olds who got there sweets took off them.

I swear some wont rest until we field an under 21 side. I would love to win the double with Kalas, Baker and Solanke as our spine, but this is the real world.
-
Imagine the reaction of Madrid fans if Perez actually does that

Being a bit suspect is one thing, being a full blown liability is another. Van Aanholt's sense of positioning is worse than Bosingwa's. He has absolutely no chance of making it with a manager who even remotely values defence, let alone someone who builds his team foundation and stability on it. Brendan might take him tho, and right wingers would be licking their lips with the prospect of a day out at Anfield.

The thing with Jose is outside of football he is quite clearly one of the most humble people you can meet. Which makes it all the more hilarious that people judge his overall character by his football persona, even THAT dig at Wenger was about Wenger the manager not the man.
-
Has any one actually said that?
-
and how do we know Lukaku wouldn't have? Azpi waited months and got his reward. He would have probably been rotating with Eto'o by Christmas. Regarding the quotes, i haven't jumped on any of them, you can check my posting history.

I dont think Jose loves Rami as much as people think, the Cesc and Tiago deals will mean he is by no means untouchable.
-
If the rumours if him potentially leaving are true would that be the biggest hint yet we are reverting back to 4 3 3 full time?
-
Azpilicueta didn't get a single minute in those two games yet kept working and working and hey presto, ended up one of the best players in our season and will probably be starting for the defending world champions in the World Cup. He's a talented young player but has a lot still to prove to even be considered as #1 here, yes i know he scored a lot of goals for the 5th best team in England, so did a certain Seneglese striker in 2012, now who's that again? With the team's profile, especially with the youth of our AM's, Eto'o was a better option, look up the impact he made on Hazard and the link up play they shared, a 20 year old leading the line with 22 year olds behind him just simply wouldn't have worked. I have hope for Lukaku and really don't want him sold, at the same time do i believe loaning him out cost us the title? no i don't and nothing will convince me otherwise.
-
Name 1 of these 'so many games' and ill go and have a look.
-
Ummmm when did Eto'o fall over exactly?
-
it will boost his confidence

Post's like these are part of the reason to why i think he is overrated. I don't think he's rubbish but i certainly don't think he would have made the difference needed to win the title that people make out. For the team last season, an experienced option like Eto'o was needed more, especially with all our AM's bar Willian and Mata till he left 22 or under.
