I think Wengers a double edged sword. No one can deny the impact he has had on English Football and Arsenal but when I see his squads in his first decade I can't understand how he didn't dominate England and take Europe by its neck. Even more so as United were in some what of a transition in the first half of the 00s, Wenger with a core of Campbell, Vieira, Cole, Pires, Bergkamp and Henry shouldn't have given United a sniff. Also there performances in Europe were embarrassing on the whole, they had that great result in the San Siro but teams like Deportivo La Coruna were going to Highbury and winning well. On the pitch Wenger massively underachieved in his first 8 or so years, they should have had a dominant spell like Barca did under Pep, the team were that good.

This lad is the example off just how patient players have to be to make it to the top. Also to add knockout competitions are a dangerous way to judge people. If Costa Rica won their shootout vs Holland then who knows, 2 games, adrenaline high, players that would die for their country, keeper on the form of his life they might have done aGreece. Drogba has been average since 2010, the last month off his Chelsea career sugarcoated how poor he was in the last couple of season's, our striker issue was even worse in 11/12 and ironically we were looking in envy at Newcastle for having a free scoring Demba Ba. What was quite noticeable especially in his last season is he completely lost motivation for the run of the mill PL games, think that's changed as he has got older? In the world cup it was clear he is pushing his body to the limit, also it took Eto'o a while to get back up to speed playing in a major league again, factor in Didier would play less (due to us having a bonafide first choice this time) and is 4 years older than Eto'o was last year............ If we want an experienced serial winner to compliment Costa we should have kept Samuel, Drogba has his place in the Chelsea history books, as a club legend but as a player in 2014? Get real.
