If im not mistaken draws against United and Arse would take there potential total to 82 (Arse) and 81 (United). So effectively 2 point's in those games would be as good as 4 in terms of what we need to seal the title.

It's really irritating that some refuse to adkwoledge the great football we played in the first half of the season just to suit the agenda.

Honest question, which game gave you the better feeling. The entertaining 5-3 loss to Arsenal or the routine 2-0 win this season? How many Liverpool fans do you reckon prefer their entertaining CL exit to Chelsea in 2009 over the turgid win in 2005?

If it was merely critiscm none of these "infants" will care. However there is a clear lack of respect for the best manager in the club's history, I'm not even exaggerating when I say I've seen Liverpool fans treat Hodgson with more respect.

 another game we are "getting hammered". I tend to enjoy these games.

It's the "average" player's that often complete great teams. Everyone use to wonder why Fergie played Ji Sung Park.

Maybe, but in general choosing and sticking to a best Xl or at least core of 9 player's gets the best results, for me anyway.

We got a big lead in the first place due to having a settled team.

Im sorry but all Champions have to win games playing this way, I lost count of the amount of times Fergie did it.

I always wondered why I celebrated Terrys consolation at Spurs more than I should have.

Dalglish like Mourinho are club legends for Pool and Chelsea respectively and have done so much for their clubs, of course they will get more leeway by supporters than compared to Hodgson and Scolari for example.

If my maths is right, Burnley pinch a point of Le Arse, Manc derby is stalemate and we beat QPR we would go 9 clear of Arse, 10 ahead of United and 11 of City, all with a game in hand. If that which what would be perfect weekend happens we should be ultra pragmatic vs United and Arsenal, two draws and the worse case scenario would be 7 ahead of City with a game in hand, which would then require 6 point's in 5 games for the title to be mathematically certain.

Ofcourse that's understandable, but we have such a healthy lead now it would take form mirroring AVBs last two month's to blow this. I will never take anything for granted until it's mathematically sure (didn't even in the Bolton game in 05 till the whistle blew) but I can't help but be excited now were so close.

The time to tell would be next season, so many times team's have had great second half season form which accelerated expectations for the next season, only to flatter to deceive, Liverpool 05-06 are the prime example, they won 12 out of their last 14 games that season only to undo that hard work by starting the next season with a mere 6 wins in 15 games.

When was the last time we lost 3 in a row? All 3 are potential one of loses if we ain't on the ball but the chances of losing all 3 (which would mean doubling our defeats tally for the whole season) is hugely unlikely.

He only really got a few cameos due to the manager who signed him getting sacked a week later but irrc he helped change the game at Pompey and assisted Lamps winner vs Wigan? could be wrong tho.

That's why it always makes me laugh when player's get branded flat track bullies or big game bottlers. So many team's lose title's due to being unable to regularly beat the lesser sides, if you master the flat track bullying your half way to being a dominant force. Of course Cups are a different matter tho.

I will let him have a pre season and see how he starts the next season, If there's no improvement by November that's when my head will start to turn. A bit like with Torres, just the only difference I was one of the first to turn against/give up on him, with Cuadrado ill probably be one of the last.

His lack of end product may be irritating but the balance and stability he offers this side is incredible. How many times does he break up build up play, as in miscontrols a simple pass or males a awful miscontrol, like what Rami and Oscar get slated for? Never fails to amaze me how many underrate or even undermine this guy's contributions, people use to criticise and wonder why Fergie played "average dross" like Park and Fletcher. We have more urgent needs in our team right now than finding a replacement for Willy. If we hold on and lift the title next month, he's well and truly earned his medal just as much as anyone else in the squad.
-
It made me laugh last season when people said Liverpool winning the league would be great for football. I fail to see how Agger, Skrtel and Johnson defending like schoolboys all season and being rewarded with a title winner's medal would send anything but the wrong message. Let's not forget Mingolet, Barthez in the elite group of title winning number 1 keeper's is bad enough, but Mingolet joining Cech, VDS, Seaman and Schmeichel would have really took the piss.

Torres will always have his fanboys, saw him compared favroubly to Costa a few weeks back.
