I went from punching the air to ruing dropped points within seconds. We have improved a lot under Hiddink and thisfight back would have almost certainly not happened under Jose, but we need to start picking up wins.
-
Diego Costa is fired up right now and will be even more so for these after last time. 2-0 win, Costa and Oscar.
-
Top 4s completely done but we need to put some sort of respectability in the table like what Dortmund did last season, 7th/8th we can pass it off as a top side who lost their way a bit, any further down and it might not wash.
-
Stones is no worse than Rio was in his early 20s. He will get there.
-
Lets focus on getting top 8 and regroup next season.

OMG VAN AANHOLT SCORED WHAT ARE WE DOING WHY DID WE SELL HIM FUCK SAKE

I'm alowed to say an opinion about a team, when I say Everton aren't very good this season it doesn't matter if im a Real Madrid or Rushden and Diamonds fan, Lawrensons a Preston fan, does that mean he has no right to critisise a PL team? Maybe I exagarated a bit by saying they are in as big a mess well yeah fair enough I did, but Everton are a team that aim for top 6/7 and got it reguarly under Moyes and In Martinez first season, putting that into account they underachieved massively last season and are going the same way this season.
-
They are 4 points above us despite having a striker in the form of his life, have won 4 out of 16 games which wasthe type of form that got Warnock sacked by Palace. As for drivel "a really good side with belief" how can you say that about a side on arun of 4 wins in 16 games and (like us) haven't won back to back league games all season?
-
Courtois?
-
Not that I deny you're assessment about us, but you're well of regarding Everton, despite Lukaku in the form of his life they have only won 4 out of 16 in the league since beating us earlier in the season. They are every bit a mess as we are, Martinez is doing an awful job.

Simeone took over Atletico Madrid in a bad spell and delieverd the title in two as half years on a remote budget, the 2014 winning team cost just over 30 million, for perspective that's not even half the price of Bale. If we are going to be a bit stingy in the market and United, City spend like there no tommorow, then Diego is the man.

Even with us having nothing to play for, if Baba has regular bad games, he will be under the microscope, by the fans and pundits/journalist alike, especially considering his price tag which is astronomical for a full back. All full backs are out of of position really, the more defensive ones start as centre back and ones that attack well start further forward, Pizckek (can't be bothered to Google the spelling) was a striker until he was 24. Infact if Kenedy reaches his potential I can see him being a much better Zhirkov, left back and winger 2 in 1.

We are not getting relegated, their is too much individual quality in this team for that too happen.
-
Ofcourse but it would require a run akin to Hiddinks in 2009 to even get a shout, and even then that might not be enough. Top 3 is well and truly gone, Arsenal, City and Leicester "only" have to have a run as bad as ours in the first half to secure their places above us. The hope for 4th I'm clinging onto is United are vaunrable to a very very shit run under LVG, Liverpool just aren't very good and Spurs look like they are burning out a bit already and even on top form they struggle to turn draws into wins. i won't give up until it's impossible but it's going to be incredibly hard, even runaway title form from now till the end won't guarantee it.
-
Usually ill be anything but happy with one win and three draws in four games, but the form and constant loses before Jose left was so damaging that 5 league games and 6 overall unbeaten is actually a positive step in this season. Ideally we can escape Everton and Arsenal with four points then I think Hiddink will get us on a decent run, the performances are a lot better even If we have dropped some silly points. Most likely too late for top four, unless Spurs do an even bigger bottle job than usual, but hopefully we can have a strong end to the season keep the squad together, add prudently, do all thatthen this horror season will almost surely be a one off.
-
If we are going to take the risk then Kenedy at left back is probably a better bet at the minute, his display against Norwich is better than anything we've seen from Baba so far, in my opinion, I really hope Guus carries on that expierment. With the Baba vs Ivanovic thing, Baba has been very shaky so far, so easing him into it is the right thing, having so many bad expierences at a young age in football can affect you mentally, you only need to look at Scott Carson as proof of that, he was developing very nicely until Croatia gate happened.
-
Opening day last four seasons one of those two have scored
-
Cant believe we threw it away but we are on an unbeaten run which was a pipe dream a month ago, so baby steps I guess.
-
We don't play to his strengths, not that's its an excuse for him, but we don't play the combinations that suit him. Not sure I agree with that, Spain were practically Barca without Messi and they won 3 major tournaments on the spin. Obviously Messi helped their course, but their midfield had so much control it was insane.
-
It's quite a sobering thought that Pedro was a key coq in arguably the best team off all time.
-
Missed the first half due to football training, but I'm gathering Pedro hasn't been as impressive against West Brom this time round
-
I don't sugarcoat Ivanovic performances, far from it, what I do say is him out of the team won't change an awful lot to the team dynamic, same will be case with Baba in/out but still.... Also I don't think Baba is awful, he's just been bad for us, he's young so got time, but right now all that will change swapping Ivan for him is what side flank the opposition target. Ivanovic has also been bad, but two wrongs don't make a right, also due to Ivans shit form has probably came the desperation to over rate Babas perfomances and make him sound better than he has been, Choulo touched up on it after one game where Baba was average but you think he was amazing looking at the comments. If I had it my way we would sign a new fullback this January and have both as back up, Baba is young so has time to improve, but apart from Kiev at home, were in his defense he kept Yarmalenko on a leash all night, I've seen nothing from him that excites me, compared to Kenedys displays at left back which massively got my attention.
-
Then he should up his game, he has been awful every time bar the Kiev game.
-
Key give away (its not Zouma) is "more involved". Zouma has started every game under Guus apart from the first, which was clearly resting him for Old Trafford.
-
I personally am not up for going gun ho in games a draw is ok and 50 league goals in a season.
