  1. Exactly, he didnt make use of his talent. Wasnt composed in that situation, thats what happens with a lot of players. I do agree with Lukaku coming in, Sturiddge mite look else where even though Lukaku mite not be drafted into the 11 right away. Bottom line is we need a strong manager (whoever the heck he is) who understand players and gets the best out of them rather than just trying to please everyone.
  2. IMO until Sturridge didnt move out on loan, he was really not doing justice to his amazing talent. He use to show that spark every now and then but never made use of the small chances that was given. I think only when he was send out maybe he got a good motivator or he realized that he needs to start delivering or his alter ego took over, whatever ... he became someone who used his talents to deliver. Based on his performances at Boltan he deserves a place in the 11 ahead of the other strikers and should be given the chance no matter who comes in.
  3. Adam Johnson >>>>>>> any of the untried potential/so call superstars of the futures that we are after. Except Sneijder (he is experience) maybe. Plays both flanks, pacey, foxy, home grown. Honestly he is not being used by the stupid Mancini at City. Dont see it happening because RA's advisories are only looking for future Messis and i m sure as per them Adam Johnson? WTF is he! Just another player.
  4. I believe he is one of the best People's manager, great motivator and he stands by his players. Best example: Torres hitting his old form after Daglish become their manager. Best to happen to Liverpool in the recent year and a big threat next season to everyone.
  5. More importantly it is what you sell to someone: a dream, a vision, a package. Best example would be Yaya Toure (why would someone like him who is into one of the best in the world come over to City). And sometime it is worth to take a gamble with these clubs because your treated as God, secondly if u the club really has some vision they would get in decent players which is only going to help someone like a potential Pastore to excel and get noticed among the crowd. I dont think everything boils down only to money) because City, Chelsea, RM can get him big bucks anyday), it abt how to pace your aspirations.
  6. Probably i m not good at sarcasm ..... He is surely not worth 20M, wouldnt say it is a good buy at this point of time. I really dont understand, United gets someone like Young (no matter how he is but he is proven) for 20 and we are spending crazy money on unproven potential ...
  7. There is nothing as sad at the bridge, it is all abt choices who ever Roman (or his advisers) likes any amount of money would be thrown to get them. By that standards, Lukaku is a grab for 20M (just a drop in the ocean). I would have loved to see Chel fill up positions where we really need attention (wingers, playmaker, backup goalie) and fill them with Experience rather than Potentials. I believe if Roman looks at our youth there are quite a few potentials who could easily replace the existing players. It would be a better gamble to have untried potentials from the academy rather than getting them from outside.
  8. Why the f*** would Chelsea want to give away Essien, he is heart of that midfield. So what if he was out form last season, Form is temporary while class is permanent. I hope the news is not correct.
  9. Since the time we picked up Shevchenko (which was blow out amount) to today, things have changed drastically specially in terms of transfer money. A half decent young player goes for 10+ and if he is English add another 5 - 7 to it. In that regards, Henderson valuation is just right. Market has become a joke and we are also to be blamed to certain extend for this.
  10. Please do it mate .... at times it feels as if this has become "The Truman Show"
  11. Great every other potential player we are after is the next Messi (Messi and Barcelona are the keyword which gets us going), so Roman is going to drill some more oil wells and would get ready with a 1 billion transfer budget ..... and would continue doing it ..... Will we ever learn the meaning of the phase "A bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush"
  12. It's high time please sell Malouda.
  13. Sneijder, without any doubt. He can be aggressive when u want him to be and be a coolhead otherwise Having said that, I would love to have all 3 or anyone at the bridge but i dont think anyone of these would end up here.
  14. I completely second that but this article did get me thinking. Why should we sell our players to Hamburg only and that too so soon, so fast, the transfer window is only warming up. I m sure these talents could have easily got into any mid/lower level teams and would have stayed in England. Again ifs and buts though, worth thinking otherwise. Perspective !
  15. Since the last few days there has been a lot going on since Arnesen joined Hamburg and as fans lot of cursing have already happen on the loss of talent we have. I happen to read one of the articles which was posted on the status by another fan from TC and i thought it was an interesting read. It is perspective of the author and it could be really interesting if there was even a small possibility of something like this. Also it just a way of looking things in a postive manner. Could be easily related with the Deco transfer where we were suppose to have first hand info on the Brazilian talents/potential. What do you guys think? Link
  16. Not sure if you guys noticed it but Terry's performance is being on a decline for the past 2 season, his performance is getting inconsistent though his commitment makes up. However having Alex would give so much option to a manager, say Terry is giving so rest to recover we still have Ivanovic/Luiz - Luiz/Ivanovic - Alex - Cole running the show which i feel is still a very very strong backline. Alex is a real talent selling him off would again mean that Chelsea doesnt respect talent.
  17. ^^^^^^ because we have been so much spoiled by Roman's money that we think that any potential players out there can become ours whether he wants to or not. I sure this is a never ending thread .........
  18. This is the cost of being over ambitious, just because Roman wants so called potential stars to get the holy grile they tend to miss out those who with them. Clear case of One in hand is worth 2 in the bush. I dont say everyone from the youth/reserve team should be promoted to the senior side, atleast talent should be handled with respect. Doesnt seen it happen at Chelsea. his frustration says it all. All the Best, Borin. I hope this is an indication to the board/owner that there could be others (more talented players) leaving.
  19. damn Monday Blues! followed after a pathetic Sunday
  20. When Carlo was appointed after Hiddink i was so sure that he is in for only one year and i never expected much out of him. because i was impressed with Hiddink and knew he would come back to the Bridge after the world cup (i m sure there would be many who thought the same). But Carlo really shut us all up with the double last year and more importantly breaking the Mouriniho mentality of defend defend defend (100+ goals in a season). A not so good season this time around for which the management is to be equally blamed (why dont they get the sack). Thanks a lot, Carlo for taking us into the history book. All the best and you would remain in our hearts as a Blue.
  21. Exactly, i sure Roman didnt know u were available before he signed Carlo. Taking the club into history book and we still have ppl say he was the biggest mistake! One thing for sure, Roman or his so CALLED advisors doesnt want to create a legacy here. Only success and nothing else. Just a thought, what happens after we win the Champions League next year. Sell off the club?
