On the Live transfer clockwatch of Sky Sports. According to Lancenet in Brazil, Chelsea have made an offer of €9.4million (£8.1m) for Botafogo defender Doria and the Brazilian club are expected to respond to the bid by Friday night. Never heard of him but 8m seems to be a big amount for an unknown player if the news is true. Can anyone provide more insights on him? Looks like Barca are after him as well.

I think a lot also is up to your medical team and i think Arsenal has really got a weak one ... u can see it for urself the extent of injuries that happen to their and the recovering time ... I believe Chelsea really has a good medical team so the recovering time is also goes down due to it .. .

What happens if they are not able to make a marquee signing? If there is any chance, I see this happening only after the United game at OT and that too if Mr Rooney opens his mouth expressing that he wants to move. Otherwise with every passing day it is becoming another Modric saga.
-
Not sure why disappointing. In an already crowded midfield, he wouldnt get a chance of any game time. It is good that he goes out and get his development going. The million dollar question is where?

Just when everything is about to cool down .... someone has to come up with something to keep the saga going ....

Chelsea to subsidise travelling supporters
coolhead23 replied to coolhead23's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Hated by all and loved by the Blues fan. This can only generate more hate in them and love in us Good to be nice -
Chelsea to subsidise traveling supporters After the public relations disaster that was the end of 2012, Chelsea have been taking steps to make up for their missteps with the supporters. Frank Lampard was re-signed. Jose Mourinho was brought back. And now this, which in financial terms is probably the nicest gesture of all: Subsidised away travel. Specifically, Chelsea are going to help the supporters out when they have to travel long distances for Premier League games. In the announcement on the official site, four games have been singled out, all involving lengthy trips -- Everton, Manchester United, Newcastle and Sunderland. As to why the Manchester City and Liverpool away games haven't been mentioned, I'm not quite sure, but both are in the second half of the season and just might not have been announced yet. No matter what, this is a good gesture. Travelling supporters are a big part of the club, and with the expense involved in following a football team around, I'm sure that every little bit helps. I haven't heard of other English teams doing this, so good for Chelsea for showing some appreciation and lending a hand to their most dedicated supporters. Chelsea Set To Complete Izzy Brown Deal Chelsea will shortly complete the signing of 16 year-old forward Isaiah ‘Izzy’ Brown from West Bromwich Albion after the finer details of the move were finalised on Friday. The Blues have held a long-standing interest in the Peterborough-born youngster but only accelerated the process of signing the England youth international in recent weeks. Perhaps spurred into action by his ascent into professional football and the potential of losing him to another club – he spent a week on trial at Arsenal in January – they decided to make their move. Brown made his Premier League debut towards the back end of last season barely two months after his sixteenth birthday. The Baggies’ Academy Player of the Year appeared at Under-21 and Under-18 level whilst still a schoolboy and was a regular feature for Kenny Swain’s Three Lions in their Victory Shield campaign. He is capable of playing as either an out and out forward or as a wide attacker and is blessed with skill, pace, strength and finishing ability. He will join a group of first-year scholars featuring Jeremie Boga, Charly Musonda, Charlie Colkett and others before penning professional terms next summer, and will likely feature across all youth age groups under both Dermot Drummy and Adi Viveash. West Brom will receive standard up-front compensation for the lifelong Chelsea supporter, roughly to the tune of £200,000 for his training and development up to this point. There is the potential for upwards of seven figures to make its way to The Hawthorns over the course of Brown’s Chelsea career should he reach the professional ranks, and they will be due a percentage of any future profit made on the player should he be sold. http://thechels.net/2013/07/chelsea-set-to-complete-izzy-brown-deal/ http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/2013/7/7/4501848/west-bromwich-albion-Isaiah-brown-chelsea-transfer-training-update P.S. Since this is not official announced I have added it to transfer talk. Mods, please feel free to shift as appropriate.

Cavani is best striker among all those who are potentially available right now ... but i dont want the club to spend so much for him even though it is not my money. Lewandoski is clear value for money plus a terrific striker who would cost around 22 to 24m But i would want Rooney to be a part of the team because he is English, he still is an amazingly versatile player, gives more than 100% to the shirt that he wears, out and out team player, importantly knows the Premier league well.
-
As much as i want Cavani to be a part of the squad, I think Chelsea shouldnt increase the price for whatever they have mentioned earlier .... With the new PSG rumour coming in, Chelsea should actually put in an official request/bid for Rooney or Lewandoski to make a statement and start playing the mind games. If Cavani wants to play with the best in the world he would take it up with De Laurentis else the French league awaits him ...

Kevin De Bruyne will fight for first-team place at Chelsea next term   :getin: :getin:   Good the kid has got brains! BVB
-
Give him a god damn break! ... At the end of the day, he is a human!
-
Well we could and i would (love that) but then the hugely built 21 yrs old Lukaku came to my mind ... and i dropped the idea of having them both
-
Lots of things going around suddenly in regards with Cavani ... If he comes in it would be great, if he doesnt not the end of the world (maybe it is his loss). I will love to see Chelsea take that money and go all out for Rooney or Lewandoski instead if the Cavani deal doesnt go through ...
-
Ivanovic/Terry Luiz/Cahill Fellani/Romeu Ramiers/Oscar Reus/KDB Rooney/Lukaku
-
Well i m sure we all would have different opinion about Rooney in some way or the other .... But comparing him with so many world class players playing in different positions speaks volume on how versatile he is .... I wouldnt get into the argument if he is world class or not ... what i think is that in Rooney, u get a player who would give more than 100% to the jersey he is wearing and is a very good team player ... He has some skills in his arsenal which is a boon to any top manager ...

Report: Chelsea, Vitesse agree on Marco van Ginkel transfer fee Morning has broken in the Netherlands and along with it, the news. -Source: De Telegraaf Google translate is having a few issues with that specific website, but the gist of it is that Chelsea have had a bid of €8.5m accepted by Vitesse Arnhem. Another source reports that Chelsea's bid beat out a competing offer from Ajax Amsterdam, which was in the range of €7m. Chelsea rule! -Source: De Telegraaf While the clubs have apparently agreed on a transfer fee, personal terms between the 20-year-old and Chelsea remain unsettled. Although I'm sure that's just a matter of time. -Source: De Telegraaf It seems that the hangup in the personal terms may be over weather the midfielder spends another year at Vitesse (on loan) or if he joins up with Chelsea this summer. Regardless, if these reports are true - and after getting stung by the Lazar Markovic business yesterday, we're making this a bigger "if" than we would normally - then it looks like we're about to finally make our first official signing of the summer transfer window. I included all the Dutch text in case one of the WAGNH Dutch contingent wants to give us a proper translation. But I think we've captured the essence of the business and the essence of the business is excellent news. Subdued Mourinho meditative on his Chelsea return
coolhead23 replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Chelsea Articles
Well written article ... I wasnt really expecting fireworks ... I believe this was a pretty intelligent approach for his first press conference and if you notice this was more Chelsea speaking than Jose expect for the Barca and Madrid comments ... I m here to be for long as compared to last time .... StabilityIt would be a new approach (attacking kind) unlike his traditional style ... Style of playingNeed to built a team from the resources on hand rather than spending lavishly ..... Try to be independent ..I m indeed the happy one because right now in the premier league there is no one to oppose him (No Fergie, No Manchini, No Rafa) .... This was Jose all the way He had mentioned in one of the documentary that ... For a top level Manager, you need to evolve as a manager to stay at the top ..... And i really hope that this is a matured Jose talking ... If so, then I m sure we are in safe hands and sure to be a powerhouse in the coming future ... -
I m the Happy One!

34 millions! WTbloodyF! .... And people said we were crazy to spend 32m on Hazard ....
-
And so it all begins ...

These! pretty much sums up the answer to the topic. Yes we r a confused bunch when it comes to buying new talents specially without the consent of a steady manager.... but would we be having one in the near future so that we wait and then built a roadmap?..... And let's face it football is big money today so in order to generate additional revenues this seems pretty much a solution. Something about having an adverse effect on youngsters, this is just a way of saying... Welcome to the big bad world of football... convert your talents / potentials into performances else .... As someone pointed the best would perform and it's those who would make the cut rest might just make us money... P.S. yes at times we mite miss out a good player who could have been a part of the team but i guess that's the risk.
