How any of you can not put Torres as the motm is absolutely & categorically beyond me, he never had a prayer with the formation we played, yet he worked his absolute nuts off for 95 minutes. As with Benitez let's give credit when & where its due, he has taken so much stick from most on here including me at times so come on people let's all eat some 'humble pie' for Fernando!

What you're trying to interpret is like I said Jose had 0% power and control but I did not say this, so please don't make up things. I said, in order to succeed you must have full power and control (100%) of the transfers and targets. The world is not black or white, there are things in between. Not able to buy because the lack of money is one thing, but to have money to buy players and getting Djilobodji, Baba and Hector from Emenalo is another thing.
You're either a sheep that likes attention from the Emenalo cultists (your pic proves that), a Mourinho hater or a person with a very low IQ.
But your point to say the club spent 300M + on players suggests you're in the latest category too, so I suggest you should go back to school to learn the difference between gross spend and net spend, or maybe try to Google it.
But OK, I assume you're too lazy for that so I will explain it baby language for you:
The club spent (net) 52 millions in 5 windows. To compare: Arsenal 106M, City 178M, United 238M, Liverpool 99M.
So what does it say? It means in order to buy a player that manager wants, he has to sell another player for big value. But does it automatically mean that the manager didn't like the player that has to be sold? No, it means you have to choose between 2 valuable assets/options.
Nobody on here, can convince me or even themselves that Jose Mourinho didn't like David Luiz. Luiz played all the big games in midfield instead of Mikel, Oscar and Lampard in the second half of the 2013-14 season. So does it mean Jose didn't value him? No it means he had to sell him in order to buy other players that he wanted. Mata played more than Schurrle, KDB wanted to leave and Lukaku wanted a guarantee to be the first striker. He needed to sell these guys to get main targets like Diego, Cesc, Luis and Matic who won us the league.
But before you're going to say ''yeah but he clearly didn't like Mata, KDB, Luis and Lukaku, that's why the club sold them.'' I'd tell you, even if that was really the case that he didn't like them, and Jose had the 100% power and control of transfers, wouldn't he replace them with other Jose Mourinho type of players to add depth on the bench? Why aren't there any of Khedira, Higuain/Benteke, Sneijder, Callejon, Isco, Raul Garcia, Miranda, Luisao on our bench then?
But what is the reality? We still have the same bad quality depth, Mikel is still our first back up as CDM, Baba an unproven left back as our first back up. Djilobodji as our 4th center back, Ramires as our only box to box player, no top class striker to compete with Diego and Oscar as a starting player. And that's because the club was not 100% buying the players the manager wanted, and because they were reluctant to spend extra money.
Which big club in the world would sell your 2 times player of the year to a direct rival, in the middle of the season? Which big club waits 1 year long to get the ideal striker without getting a decent one now? Which big club has such bad bench options like ours? Which big club would ignore the pleads of the manager after winning the league? Which club would strengthen a direct rival with your club legend without strengthening yourself? Which club would be more busy with breaking records of players on loan rather than looking for quality for the first team? Which big club would get 0 first team additions after winning the league? Which club would get Djilobodji and Hector on deadline day to save your season? Which club would finish the deal of your only left footed left back option when the season is already 3 weeks old? Which big club uses a ''1 out first then 1 in'' transfer strategy? Which big club would be more busy with balancing the books than strengthening the squad?
The above piece summarizes the backing Jose got from the board and the ambition from the club. Yes Jose was not a victim that had 0% power and control but it was clear as day that he did not have 100% power and control. So please let your Cinderella stories rest that he was fully backed by the board in the 2,5 years here.
And no, this not an excuse for Mourinho to be sitting at 1 point above relegation. The club failed as a collective unit this season, including the players and Jose.

Roman hasn't done halved bad though has he? 15 trophies in 12 seasons - the most successful club in England during that period tells you he must be doing something right! This in an era when ole bacon face was around for a decade, City won't have a manager of that calibre to deal with....
Think you're forgetting the club decided to go down a different route financially a few seasons back with the abject FFP frightening the shit out of the hierachy, hence the reason why we have so many players on loan to eventually sell to make a profit, I also think the success we enjoyed last season whilst making a profit in the transfer market (the first team in 10 seasons to do so) goes very much under the radar, Jose & the club should get more credit for that achievement.
However having said all that I concur with most of the message you are trying to get across, before you returned I've quoted a few members outlining where it started to go wrong this season - not kin Evagate but the lack of ambition the board showed in investing in the squad! Jose gave them a list in kin April, yes kin April & they ignored him, he then made it clear that if anybody wanted Cech he would take one of theirs to weaken their squad, he was pointing the finger at Oxlade-Chamberlain I do believe. So in the space of less than couple of months the board undermined him & left him with scraps that incidently some of the gutbucket players threw at him after feasting all summer!
City have got one thing over us & that I very much agree with you in that they have knowledgeable experienced people in their set up.
My friends & I have been discussing this experienced football link for a while, it was patently obvious the squad needed investment, someone with half of a football brain in a position of TD would be explaining this to Roman & I'm pretty sure Cech would not of gone to a rival either!
Yes the club have been very successful in the Roman era but my biggest worry now is that a whole generation of talented young players (arguably the best in Europe) could be lost if we don't appoint someone as manager that puts his faith in those young players, think this is partly why it is imperative that someone with bollocks who can tell Roman how it is who can also be that link & shoulder for the manager & provide a platform for our youth to make that next step.

    1) The next manager HAS to bring in youth. Season or two from now, Loftus-Cheek, Baker, Solanke and maybe few others have to be regulars in the team. I don't care if it costs us titles or the CL. A football club has bring up youth, otherwise the whole existence of the team just feels, dare I say it, a bit plasticky.
And it's not like the club doesn't have immense potential in the youth and on loan. All we need is a manager who has the balls to utilise them. Mourinho wasn't man enough to do that.
    2) The manager who comes in (not the temporary one) should have trust of the board and the time to implement the tactics. At least two season IMO. If the new manager(s) are under constant pressure to win every single game, we'll play medieval hoofball for the next decade in search of those 1-0 wins.
    ----
All the club needs to now is someone who can make a positive impact on the team so that Chelsea doesn't end up in Championship. CL is gone already, so the plan should be getting ready for next season. Bringing up some youth or loan players in the process might not be a bad idea, and maybe they could add something to the team.
Why didn't Kenedy play more? He clearly had the will to play 100%, every game, everyday. I'd make him a regular in the team, who knows how that might end up. Mourinho wasn't interested in these kind of experiments. He promised RLC run of games but gave him 45 minutes and then the lad disappeared. Who knows what might have happened if Kenedy and RLC played most of the games, I have hard time believing that the results would be any worse than what they are now.

FYI, Three, yes 3 former PL referees one of which was the former head of the refereeing body(same as Mike Riley now) all said the same thing about Matic's sending off & that was he should never of got a red, he pushed Barnes below the neckline so that is not classed as violent conduct, they went on to state because of the nature of the challenge they completely understood Matic's reaction, therefore a yellow card should of sufficed so with that in mind, why shouldn't Jose defend Matic? Who incidently had to deal with a near career ending injury & you believe Matic shouldn't of reacted - did you not see that was a career ending tackle, no? & just to remind everybody, the Fuck All (F.A) didn't ban Barnes cus Atkinson saw the offense.....apparently so no retrospective action taken, now I wonder if it was Costa that did a 'Barnes' I'm pretty sure they'd find a way to give him a sabbatical! As for Costa, unfortunately he has raised his hands & the Fuck All won't miss an opportunity to hit us in any way they can, my beef with them is like I stated last season on the Matic situation, is that they never show consistency, Sparky Hughes has already made his point about one of his players being hard done by the Fuck All, then stating Arsenal & Gabriel conveniently getting let off......???
However they have made a rod for their own back because the amount of times players raise their hands in dead ball situations alone will bring about similar offences & I bet they do didley fucking squat unless its certain teams or more specifically certain players.
Looking forward to yet more hypocrisy from the Fuck All & I bet our board are hoping for something similar to happen before they receive Costa's report.

    Big thanks gaffer!
And a small inside story you never heard of.
I know a certain manager here in Serbia who knows a few people who know Mateja Kezman. He told me that Mateja said that he was really impressed with Roman when he met him. He said that he never met someone so powerful, yet so much down to earth and relaxed. He also said that you would never see him wearing some ultra crazy expensive clothes, he is always acting casual and normal.

Routledge rightly got his red rescinded, Vertonghen gets fuck all & can play in the the cup final, yet Matic gets a 2 game ban for nearly having his leg broken/career over - fucking priceless!
I've heard Keith Hackett & today Richard keys state that was the most inept refereeing performance in the PL era.....Graham Poll & Mark Halsey both stated that Matic reaction was not violent but aggressive so therefore the punishment should warrant a yellow only especially after the nature of the event, Poll stated that cus Matic pushed below the neckline it doesn't warrant a red card....meanwhile Wankinson gets to be fourth official on Sunday then given a PL match the week after, Halsey made the very same error with the Mcmanaman case & admitted he hadn't seen the incident cus a player blocked his view (perfectly understandable) his punishment.....he got stood down for 6 weeks.....
There has been widespread condemnation of the tackle & Wankinson's performance yet the Fuck All had the chance to save the microscope bit of credibility they had left......again however, we get fucked over by their incompetence, reducing the ban to 2 games is a sympathetic way of laughing at us, Matic must be heartbroken, in a nutshell they are saying that its fine to break another players leg & end a players career but you can't push anyone cus that's excessive, great example to kids watching & trying to learn the right way to play the game.....
Whilst I've never gone with the conspiracy theories, this whole episode has certainly turned my head & added food for thought, I think this will do the same for neutrals from now til the end of the season - not that it will benefit us in anyway but people are going to be having second thoughts now.
I spent sometime at Southampton's academy when my young relative was there for 6 years, he wasn't pulling up tree's but was def going in the right direction, til he reached 14, then a certain Steve Greaves was his coach for 2 years & without going into everything that I experienced, he was fucking useless, so to my horror I read he was Wankinson's assessor on Sat, says it all that he agreed with the worst refereeing performance in the Pl era, the FA are already a laughing stock but trust me its going to get a whole lot worse, especially with clowns like Greaves given an assessors role but why am I not surprised!
