To be fair to Robbie Di Matteo if he were to win the champions league along side the already won fa cup would he have it in the back of his mind to leave whilst on a high? legend as a player (a term used to loosely for my liking, but valid in this instance) and then make him self a legend as manager cementing his place in our history forever alongside our other former greats like mourinho, wise, tambling, osgood, chopper harris, bonetti etc, would be a legacy few could measure upto.
-
Van gaal or hiddink if you intend on keeping the squad similar for next season, I believe there are to many big personalities to manage for a younger guy, di matteo is fortunate that he was at the club when terry was coming through and lampard was brought in, as such JT and lampard probably looked upto him when younger so they have respect ingrained for him already and this will spread amongst the other players, AVB got the opposite treatment the older lot seemingly didn't like what was happening/what he was trying to implement and didn't perform for him. If however we are to let a couple of big names go I wouldn't be against someone like deschamps coming in. All the above applies if robbie doesn't get the job, as he is my 1st choice.

From there concept pic id definitely have the new 15k shed end built within the BPS shell so as to get the filled in corners within the BPS shell as well hence still giving it that complete look from within the ground. And a few more from campaign55
-
From campaign55 there concept of a potential stadium at 55k capacity, this is the best so far for a realistic way to incorporate the BPS into the proposed new stadium.
-
Its a partly grade 2 listed building, you can't knock the majority of it down the only bit you can is the east turbine hall.
-
Its not possible as the east turbine hall and control room are listed and so can't be gutted and the size of the power station is 150 metres by 170 metres at their furthest points so the actual inside bit inside to build within is quite a lot smaller so in theory once you had the pitch which would be circa 105 metres long by 70 metres wide leaving next to no room for any stands. So like I said not possible no matter how many pretty pictures are knocked up in photoshop.
-
Never an option, not big enough.
-
Impossible the BPS is to small to have a ground built entirely within its current structure, the only way to incorporate the BPS is to demolish the east turbine hall (unlisted part) and use the west turbine hall and smoke stacks as the shell to a stand, the quick sketches apparently from one of the development partners seems to confirm that this is the plan.

In the cpo statement it says its actually some 15 million that the council them selves make out of the club whilst the businesses in the local area (there constituents) make approx 30m in revenue off the back of the club, those are the only two reasons why they care about us moving, notice how they only cheep up when the club started the wheels moving on a potential move, nowt out of them for years before the egm last year.
-
Muggy cunts surely if LBHF want us to stay so badly then they could provide the cpo with the information on safe egress in case of fires which I believe is one of the main obstacles, there are 45m reasons why they want us to stay and not one of them is because its in the fans/future fans best interests, hence the insinuation the club should be charging more per ticket.
-
Fulham and hammersmith don't want to lose our business rates, that is all they care about, end of the day they are only make the noises that there is a way to expand to slow down any move by throwing doubt into the uneducated minds (by that I mean people who haven't researched the problems with potential expansion), they know as well as the club knows that the bridge can't be expanded but at the end of the day they are set to lose out if we move so will put up a fight if only to draw the process out.
-
That pic looks good but id have said that the power station shell would have been either the north or south stand to any new ground, quite possibly the south end that the club want to make upto 15000, that would be a sight to behold 15000 chels in a quite unique and imposing stand screaming at the top of their lungs, the acoustics are something the club need to make sure are right in any new build, but I suppose that it shouldn't be a problem in a purpose built ground, unlike at the bridge currently due to the four separate stands all built separately and with different designs and bodge job corner infills.

If it aint broke don't fix it, so far robbie is doing a great job he has the older players back on side and is getting a performance out of them when it matters, he's got torres scoring, he showed tactical nouse in beating barcelona over two legs and he will be given the slack from the fans when/if results hit a lull due to his stature from he's playing days (not to mention if he were to win that final on the 19th). If we were to get guardiola can anyone say in all certainty that he could do for us what he done at barca? same as jose potentially coming back who's to say he could do what he done here originally? there are no guarantees that either would work so for me it seems stupid to get rid of somebody who is working, whether he can build a new team or do it for a whole season who knows but there is only one way to find out.

Chelsea to play Bayern Munich in the Final
strong centreback replied to James's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I voted Bayern Munich, not because I don't want to face mourinho but because I want to watch a good game, if we play madrid it will be a game similar to that of the arsenal game at the weekend or when we played liverpool when the fat spanish waiter was in charge, with Bayern as opponents I'm sure it would be a good game we would be more open. -
Geoff Shreeves you utter cunt, 'tact' look it up you wanker.
-
Robbie had the dons and west brom from playing some tidy footy during his time there, give him a pre season and a transfer window then lets see what he can do, I personally would be very happy with him staying in charge not only because I'm happy with a chelsea man in charge who actually sees this as his dream job, and he is doing a very good turn under some difficult conditions, but also in the back of my mind is because I can't see any other top coaches out there that would realistically come to us, the only person that is making noise about wanting the job is the fat spanish waiter and I don't want that cunt anywhere near our dugout.
-
The word legend is banded about way way to often, even if your only talking internally at our club, the real legends of our club you can count on two hands and out of the current squad there are only 2-3 in there at most, JT, frank and drogs, actual legends of our club are the likes of osgood, tambling, bentley, wise, chopper harris and players of that ilk.
-
How about di matteo and super dan petrescu double act? petrescu has done well where ever he has gone even if it was on a smaller stage and robbie done well at mk dons and at west brom before being harshly fired. My logic is that any decent manager worth his salt will not come to us, the players are not performing if they take a dislike to the way the manager works, the board have their fingers hovering over the trigger, the board make club buys whether or not they fit into the managers plans or not, and on top of all that he is meant to deliver attractive football whilst rebuilding the squad as well as challenging for the league, that is only possible by taking a blank cheque book approach to it imho. On a side note anyone else see that report that gokhan tore whilst still a chelsea youth team player just prior to signing for hamburg crashed his 160k aston martin, how much do we pay these fucking kids for them to have a bloody supercar before they have even made a first team appearance? and we wonder why these kids with apparent huge potential dont make it, its because as far as they are concerned they are already have with a 20k a week contract.

Somebody who doesnt find scoring hard, if I were the club id cut my losses on torres and reinvest the money on higuain if available.

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas
strong centreback replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Fucking hell just when you think the club are starting to plan long term they go and revert back to type. -
This squad have reared this head at scolari ancelotti and now avb, whos to say they wont pull the same trick with who ever comes in if they get rid of avb? id put money on it happening again, this is the consequence of letting a squad get very stale and by not putting the blame equally on the playing squad as well as the management team, the players have been incased in a bubble where it is only the manager taking the rap for poor performances, I believe that the last 4-5 years post jose have actually reinforced that opinion amongst themselves, they are not to blame for under performing its the managers fault for not getting the best out of them, why should we change formation and style of play when what has worked in the past worked so well, these are the signs of players that cant adapt to what the new guy wants and realise that they are not gonna make a move to another club on the same level or wages as they are currently. Players like that are a cancer killing the club from within, I personally dont want avb to be fired but if he does go I expect the board to clear out all the trouble makers, as it must be blatantly obvious for anybody within the club (quite obvious from a fans point of view as well) who they are and they should be dispensed with no matter who they are.
-
Although I havent got the facts to hand my memory/instinct with player ages in the respective teams would indicate that jose gets the absolute maximum out of the players whilst they are still at their most productive then moves on once they are just going over the hill, jose seemingly doesnt build teams per say but tweaks the current team in such a way that it operates at its fullest with a dash of his style players, a very clever way of managing, he it would seem (on current form) stays until he has made his mark (won everything) then leaves to make his mark else where, usually culminating in a 3 year stint at each club. Now while a very successful management style and a very good cv maker it isnt a long term approach to managing a football club, and if jose continues in this format then whilst he will be one of the most successful managers of all time and rightly so, some people may put a question mark over whether or not he could of stayed at a club for a decade and actually rebuild a team once his first had come to its natural end, like the way ferguson has done time and time again.
