Did people really expect us to get to the level of Mardid & Bayern during one preseason? lmao wtf this team needs at least one or two seasons to become that good (PL we can win this year though), unreal how people react after a preseason game
-
facepalm and a half lol
-
lol that last minute foul on hazard def was a pen, but anyways, decent enough game, not sure why people were overreacting in the match thread it's a friendly, we def were not playing our strongest lineups in either half and several players are still gaining full fitness and even so we def had our good patches and our chances but just didnt take them thought ramires and van ginkel were good, especially van ginkel he was excellent, i thought it would take him time to adjust to PL but the way he's looking right now i am very surprised, he looked like the only composed player in the first half while everyone else was shitting their pants almost lol torres was also decent surprisingly, and so was moses, i think moses has def played himself into the hull match good run out for everyone and some good plays as far as the negatives, it's individual really, cahill gives far too much space to the attackers and you cant give room to players of this calibre to get their shot off from INSIDE the box, unbelievably stupid stuff same thing for ivanovic expect he doesnt want to close down the wingers, i cant believe he let isco spend 10 minutes on his strong foot and pick a cross out to ronaldo for the 3rd goal lol

Van Ginkel and Ramires were good. Torres has been decent as well. Moses again looking decent, he's def played himself into the Hull match imo. Wasn't that bad of a performance imo, obv werent our strongest teams and several aren't fully fit yet.
-
Injured as well.
-
Actually, looks like a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 with Torres and Hazard up top. Torres-Hazard Schurrle - KDB - Essien - Moses
-
its unreal how room cahill gives to the striker, i could have scored on cech if i was allowed that much room
-
lol chelsea defended like they were pylons lol no one moved at all, why does ivanovic not close down the crossers? especially when he's on his strong foot, very bad there
-
omg what a ball by ramires, poor from hazard, great first touch but gotta finish there

I don't think it's been that bad. We were never going to have more possession than Madrid. The problem is that we don't an out ball. Lukaku is supposed to be the out ball but the balls to him and his own hold-up play has been horrible.
-
Van Ginkel just seems like a slow starter. Once again he was off in the first 5 mins and since then has been awesome.

People can analyze however much as they want, but the simple fact is this - THEM GOALS!! Bale scored them goals, he scored them screamers, he scored them game winners, he scored when no one else on his team could. Bales moves to Real and he just becomes part of the team and his hype will die down guaranteed, if he stays at Spurs he is the team and his hype will never die down and will only soar even if his teams gets better and helps him more because regardless of the help he gets, Spurs will always be considered HIS team as long as he's there.

I don't think we should worry too much about the passes right now. He's still adjusting to a new team so the forward passes will come in due time as he gains more confidence. He's working hard and keeping it simple and avoiding taking risks and making mistakes. Love how strong and mobile he is and on top incredibly intelligent. I still think he'll have his struggles in the premier league, going from Eredivisie to the PL is a huge change but he has the tools to make it big here for sure.

Ray didn't really say it would be a step down though did he.
-
You have a fair point, but sometimes the player and the talent really is that good that the hype is justified. I feel this is the case with KDB. Schurrle while was good in Bundesliga, I feel KDB was easily better. Not only were KDB's performances better than Schurrle, the talent difference wasn't even in the same league. Also, the comments after he scored weren't really hype, it was excitement because everyone was just waiting for a goal like that. It wasn't a case of "wow I didn't know he could do that, that's amazing" it was more like "yes bitch, i knew he could do that now the rest of the world will find out as well"

Moses def has potential to be a decent enough striker. He's strong, he's fast, has decent ball control. He's tricky and can make room for shots. Often takes them early and has tremendous shot power. He def has the tools to be a decent enough striker, finishing can improve, he's still only young. Not saying he's ever going to become a Chelsea level striker, but he does have the tools to become a good backup.

Welcome, I'm living in Indiana at the moment as well.
-
I actually thought Isco was quite poor against Everton. Was good against Galaxy though.
-
Great technique. Love our attacking mids can score them golazos!!
-
Don't want to nit-pick but I would have liked more possession and control during the first half to counter Milan's pressing. Every build-up was a launch by Cech to Ba.
-
Schurrle showing them how it's DONE!!!!
-
omg ramires when you make a messi esque run just shoot
-
hahahaha holy shit torres just nutmegs a dude while sitting down
-
Ramires! What a boss!
