We have the right kind of squad now to never have to make 5-6 big transfers a summer. One or two transfers in and out every summer should be the plan moving forward. Look at how much work we've done to reach this point and look at how mad Man Utd's spending has been this calendar year. One thing I do want to see us do is continue buying promising talent between 18-21 and loaning them out.

I think he's already in trouble with the likes of Baker around, the quality already in the first team and what is available to us through the transfer market. I don't think he has a Chelsea future personally but good luck to him and hopefully he makes me eat my words.

It's the same reason a clown like Casillas was so highly rated at one point. I've always considered him an overrated fraud of a keeper.
-
They have already started, trust me. The incident with Coleman wasn't the first time he's done something like that: http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/feb/04/douglas-costa-atletico-madrid-la-liga Diegtroll

Deserves a statue in my honest opinion. The shape of his body as he hit that backheel immortalised forever

I just hope Hazard enjoys London and we remain competitive; I doub't he'd move if we establish ourselves as the best club in the country. And we have have just the manager to tell him that Spain isn't what it's hyped up to be.
-
Hazard 10 year contract now, please.
-
I always thought he'd go abroad for a loan. I can't think of many teams in the lower leagues who would want a 5'4 striker to be honest.
-
That's from an Everton site after the Chelsea game. Lukaku's bad first touch led to our 5th goal - he practically passed the ball to Matic (I think it was him anyway), that's how bad his attempt at gathering the ball was. 28m! Un-fucking-believable.
-
The good thing is that if we had Sturridge now he would be an important player for us. We fucked up but I think we've learnt a lesson the hard way.
-
It's going to be interesting to see how that plays out; I'm gonna keep an eye out for Everton and catch some of their games if I can. You immediately saw the difference in quality once Eto'o came on yesterday. Two strikers with something to prove but only one good enough to make a mark.

If Van Ginkel does go out on loan I hope Baker gets some minutes every now and again. I don't think he would look out of place in a strong 11.

IT'S OVER IT'S FINALLY OVER!!!!!!

This whole thing is strange; there has to be something else going on.

I don't know if it's been mentioned already but I've just seen the incident again and it's pretty clear to me what happened. Costa picks up the ball, goads Coleman and then throws the ball away. Cesc doesn't see this but sees Howard running out. I believe Fabregas thought Howard went to get the ball from Costa to restart the game quickly, that's why he turned around to give Howard the ball. In fact he was trying to defuse any potential situation. But by the times he's picked the ball up and turned around he sees all the drama. Fabregas wasn't scared, he just didn't have a clue what was going on. Just look at Fabregas here: http://gfycat.com/ScratchyInsidiousArabianwildcat

You really need to relax. As soon as we come back from internationals there are 3 games in quick succession. There's no way the same 11 are going to start/play all three games. Then there are form/injuries to contend with so the chances will be there for him. I get that you want to see your fellow country man do well but you have to keep things in perspective.
-
I just hope the media and pundits shut up about Chelsea being mad to let Lukaku leave. Although I bet when he scores again it will start up again.
-
And having said that I've literally just read this: Letting people know we have to stop fucking about. He is important on and off the pitch. LEGEND He deserves to retire a Champion.
-
Looks that way at the moment but I believe Drogba will do something special at some point this year, probably in the business end of the season. It will have been worth bringing him back...keep the faith.
-
Everything I don't like about his game was on display yesterday. Bad touches, weak holdup play, bad/average movement etc. I can't believe the club got 28m. Eto'o looked so much better it was unreal let alone Costa!
-
It's almost like he realised who was marking him and he thought 'hold on' Hazard loves squaring up bigger players because once he gets them set they simply do not have the agility to turn and run after him; by the time they've fully turned he's long gone. We just need to find out a way to isolate him against players more often.
