In my opinion the only way we'll get that balance right is going 4-3-3. We can get away with Cesc-Matic against the Burnley's of this world but any team with ambition will cause us problems.

Not this vulnerable though; in every game so far we have been there for the taking on several occasions. I wanted more attacking football because we were too defensive before, but that doesn't mean I want us to play without balance in midfield and allow teams acres of space in front of our back 4.

You're talking about one mistake, I'm talking about his general performances. He has been doing the work of 2 men since the start of the season in my opinion so his form is understandable.

Maybe he'd perform better with somebody sharing the defensive duties in midfield? You know, a partner that can actually run.

Hopefully this is the game that puts it to an end. I'd give it more time if there was an improvement game on game but if anything it's getting worse.

Matic at fault initially and then Ki runs past Fabregas as if he isn't even there. No legs in midfield against one of the best passing teams in the league makes no sense. We need Ramires on badly.

I was quite surprised to see that Hart won it so many times, I wasn't aware Man City's defence was that good under Mancini.

Cech has won it 3x which puts him level with Reina and Joe Hart.

It really is. I'm becoming a bit of a fan-boy simply because of the way some people talk about him sometimes.

He's already better than Ronaldo in certain aspects in my opinion. Ronaldo is a great goalscorer but as an all-round footballer I think Hazard is better than him at plenty of things - but then nobody really cares because Ronaldo scores 50 a season.

My thoughts too. Some times when I watch Madrid, Ronaldo's teammates will score and he doesn't even show any interest, it's almost as if the opposition have scored for all he cares. It happened in the Champions League final when Bale scored the goal to put them ahead, everybody ran over to celebrate with Bale...everybody EXCEPT Ronaldo that is, he just walked back to his own half to restart the game. And then he celebrated as if he scored the most important goal in history when he put them up 4-1 in the final seconds. That was one of the most embarrassing celebrations I've ever seen in ANY sport.

I prefer we sign potential superstars and players that haven't played for other English clubs. Hazard is the perfect example of the type of marquee signings we should continue to make.

All valid points. Perhaps if the club sign Oscar to a new deal on a marginally better salary that would suit all parties; the player would have more years and the club would have a potentially better player on a relatively small salary. I think waiting could cost the club far more than it would be to just sign him up now. Even if things don't work out I still think Oscar could be moved on for a decent fee.

With Courtois now signed up, and Hazard seemingly next, it's strange that there doesn't seem to be much chatter about a new deal for Oscar.
