What's really great for Matic is the fact that Serbia weren't playing in Brazil meaning both Nemanja and Ivanovic had a full refreshing rest and they are 120% ready for this season as their performances show in the last couple of games. We should sign him for a few reasons. 23 years old just the right age. No need to worry that he won't develop too much and if he flops we can always get a good price out of him. He's a good all around striker, definitely and improvement over Torres. We must be aware that once this season is over we will pretty much be stuck with only Costa as Drogba will be 37 and Torres will probably finally leave. Just seeing how much Costa means to this team I'm getting really scared of going through season without him in case an injury strikes. Drogba is not a suitable replacement but a great 3rd choice. Destro's wages will be lower then Torres' for sure so we also reduce our wage bill. If our scouts and Jose think he can do well here then sign him ASAP if we manage to move Torres away somewhere as we are stocked on foreign players.

I'd expect Bayern to sign him, he is just the kind of a Centre back Guardiola likes. I'm happy with Zouma, we can always panic but someone in January if things don't work out well.

I do agree that he isn't that good but I actually forgot that he's only 21 at the moment! He has so much maturity and experience for his age. I generally tend to be very forgiving to CBs under 23 so it may be that (for a reason) , but I think he has done very well considering his age and the difficulty of the Premier League. Gotta agree though that Savić looks as a player with more potential though. But not a player we should be looking to bring unless we could get him for something cheap since we could resell him later and make some nice profit.

Well he played a lot as an attacking midfielder at Madrid last season but I would really really be happy if he was on our wings in a few weeks. Brilliant crossing and vision but also great technique and pace. Really complete offensive player. I only see Hazard being better then him in our team.

Watched him today considering we may be looking into him. Nothing spectacular, but Swansea were defending a lot and he was left alone on their half trying to battle for long balls. Can't do worse then Torres I guess. I'll watch him closely against Burnely in their next game.
