I've just more or less answer you on another topic XD We don't know Roman's aims for the futur. I think he isn't the man we all think he is. I mean, with the slump we had it was surprising to see that he didn't sacked Ancelotti in January. So I guess Roman has become more 'mature', he has grown up...
-
Mate, i've already state that. We don't know why Roman has sacked Ancelotti. It could be because he didn't win anything, that's the easiest choice to believe since we all know Roman wants the Cl. But it could be aswell because Carlo didn't fit the plans Roman has for Chelsea's futur. So let's wait and see who is bought (players and manager), and then we will draw a conclusion on Roman's aims.

So, Hiddink approved/advised 5 players, and has continued to worked with us since he has ended his coach spell here... And if he becomes our sporting director, then it's a first step to get this 'stability'. -
Yeah, great idea. And who will buy Neymar et al, pay our current squad, hire a new manager and assistant, etc... ?
-
My post was not aimed at you. I just noticed that throughout the forum. Maybe that was the wrong topic to say that... ps : I thought your topic was sarcastic.
-
One more thing : Why ask to give Ancelotti more time to prove himself, and then say we don't want Van Basten because he hasn't prove himself even if he is a "newbie" ? If he will be our manager, the give him time.
-
:goodpost: ps : it's funny to see how that the people who were telling other people (during our slump) to keep the faith and be optimist, are now the ones who are pessimist. lol
-
He does not need to spend as much money as Roman. He just needs to buy a good GK, and one good CB. With those two players, I believe Arsenal would be a very good team... The problem (for Arsenal fans, not for us lol) is that Wenger is a hoarder. So if we apply the same model as Wenger, plus if we are willing to spend money, it could work well !! ps : there's so much pessimism here... C'mon, be confident of the man who gave Chelsea 3 EPL.
-
The best would be to go for both Neymar and Hazard, and give up Lukaku.
-
Jesus... Can we stop start to insult each over ? We're here to discuss about the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti, not if this man or that man is a cunt. It isn't because the next man doesn't share you opin that he is a cunt. Let's act as civilized people... Thanks.

He also was elected twice the best prospect of La Ligue 1, he entered twice in the "best XI of La Ligue 1", he is praised by everybody in France. I haven't seen him play many times, but when I did he always impressed me. So yes, I guess I can say he is that good. He could be a very good choice for our right wing. ps : Gervinho was also very good this term. He also would have deserved that title, but Eden is a bit more 'spectacular' and he has scored important goals (ie against Marseille).

The thing I thought that was boring, is that to explain x times why we don't need a better coach than Carlo yet people still asked the 'anti-Ancelotti' who better was availabale. If I've misspoken myself, then my bad. Anyway, I know to have stability, a long term manager (oops, I've said it XD ) isn't the only solution. The stability also roots in the decisions and the philosophy of the board. It's a very good point raised here !! I didn't think about that before... Like you said, Carlo insisted that big changes weren't necessary. Furthermore, he claims that after their 30 years, players are still youngs. So maybe, Roman believes that we need a lot of news and youngs players. So if these two guys are disagreed and that their 'philosophy' isn't the same, that won't work... Therefor someone has to clear the way...
-
Ahah, that's right. But to be honest, I would be more proud of Chelsea if this club plays with two or three players coming from our academy and if it plays a nice football, than if it wins the CL !
-
So what would you preconize me ? To shut my mouth ? ...
-
Not necessarily, mate. As I've said before, I do believe that Carlo was hired just to bring us UCL glory in a short term project. And Roman could feel that it is the moment to put an end to this short term aim.
-
Finally we could be agree on one point ... Actually that's the second, ie the need to buy a new right back lol.
-
Again, people stop to say that we've sacked Carlo because we didn't win anything !! We don't know why Roman has done that. That could also because he don't see in Ancelotti a long term manager...
-
You're absolutely wrong mate. I won't ask for our next manager to be sacked in a couple month... I'm already asking for his sack right now
-
Lol ! You make me say what I didn't say. I ain't backing Van Basten or whatsoever. I know fuck all about what he has done. I am just saying that a coach lesser good than Carlo won't necesseraly do a worst job.
-
That wasn't my point, not at all. I wanted to mean that "say goodbye to CL glory" wasn't an end... I mean give up the UCL next year isn't a bad thing, because if we want to build a long term team, to want and to expect to win the UCL would be a bad thing... I do not know if I explain well my view... But anyway, i'm gonna to answer to that question : Yes. First off all, and that's my opinion, Carlo hasn't the abilities required to be a long term manager. Then, a coach who is a long term coach, even if he is not better than Carlo, will probably do a better job than him. Finally, a coach like Van Basten is young, so he isn't a finished product. So he could grow up as the team grow up. Know what I mean ?
-
Perhaps Roman isn't seeking for CL, but to build something for the long term ?
-
Just has been elected the best player of La Ligue 1. (elected by the players).
-
I wouldn't say "never think", but "never thought". I mean, it seems to be clear that Roman wants to bring stability to Chelsea, his investments in the academy just prove that. So maybe right now he really wants to apply a long term plan and he believes Carlo Ancelotti isn't the right man to bring us stability... If that so, then he has made the right choice. And before say we don't think about "long term" and "stability", I believe we should wait and see who is the coach appointed, and what kind of players are bought. Afterward, we will be able to say "damn, Roman is still desesperate to win the Champions League" or "Cool, it seems we have a real lon-term plan". Yep, I'm also curious to know the reason(s). I hope it is because he (Abramovitch) doesn't think Ancelotti is a long-term manager. Ahah, thanks ^^
-
In my opinion, the most important part of the club statement is : To my mind, Ancelotti has never been hired to be a long term manager, but to be a short term manager to bring us european glory, ie the Champions League. So, if he's been sacked because Roman doesn't see in him a long term manager, that's understandable (though I'm not in Roman's head).

Thanks for what you gave to us Carlo. Good luck for your futur. Goobye.
