Don't know if it's the right thread... : http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/ancelotti-warns-against-clear-out

Yeah And yeah, I'm talking about sanity. I'm wrong to think you suggest that I am insane ? ps : And why what LDN has said is disrespectful ?
-
Wait a minute guys... Why are you so worried for Sturridge because of Torres ? At the moment, Sturridge is way better than Torres. Any sane coach would play Sturridge instead of Torres. At least, in my mind, Sturridge is my striker for next season.
-
Neymar is 19 1/2 years old, he already played with his national team and has played 126 games with Santos and he is an important player in his team. His case is different than Josh's.
-
This player has too much technic. Hence it won't happen.

Yep, that was a no brainer that Laurent Blanc wouldn't be sanctionned, and because of the politic and sportive background : - Politic : Since Sarkosy is at the helm of the country, there were many scandals over racial issue. And for a while, more than ever : the big debate over Islam, the rise up of FN (the fascist party), some shocking sentences from our ministers about immigration, etc... So the governement couldn't afford to let this case be judged correctly and risk another french representant to be labeled as a racist (even if we all know the truth, but it ain't 'official')... that's why they shut that story down. - Sportive : I guess you are aware about Knysna et al. The French National Team has started to rebuild itself under Blanc, and if he has to leave under such circumstances, that would be disastrous for that team. We would certainly be fucked up for many years. And the FFF board wants to avoid that. And of course, they don't want another scandal after Domenech's one. And to be honest, I do not understand how the French Governement could have been involved in this without being sanctionned, I thought governements didn't have the right to interfer in football federations...
-
Please stop point out this guy or that guy. I don't know which one has starter that (and to be honest I don't give a flying fuck) but I just know they are both boring with their argue.
-
Agreed with LDN. Let's see who we buy and who we sell. ps: a midfield of three players, with Ramires, Lampard and Essien... We should learn our lessons.
-
Laurent Blanc has been cleared of all suspicions by the french ministry of sports. He was backed by the majority of the France team of 98 (Zidane, Lizarazu, Barthez, etc...), except by Lilian Thuram. And two members of the FFF board have been suspended. The case seems to be closed.

Lol Madmax ^^ No, no and no. This boy doesn't suit the big teams. At Bordeaux he was the big fish in a small pond. He is too shy to be good in big teams (He said himself that he didn't perform well with Lyon certainly because he was too shy). And to be honest, he was good just for a year, and even back then he was overrated. So no.
-
^ He may want to stay with his son while he grows up, at least for the first year.

Very good post Ollie. I'm agree with most of your post, I'm just disagree on one point. This is Essien as holding midflieder. In my opinion, to play him in that posistion break the balance of the team. He bombs forward too much and he doesn't track back enough quickly. Thus he leaves huge spaces for the opponents. Plus, he has lost his defensive abilities... A player like Mikel is way better in defense in my opinion. He stays back and help out Terry and Luiz (or whoever is Terry's partner). And finaly, Mikel seems to be our only player, at least our only midfielder to be able to keep the ball on the ball when under pressur. The only downsides I'd find to Mikel, is that he isn't enough aggresive and he doesn't do enough sliding tackles. But I think he is very underrated, mainly because he doesn't do spectacular things.

Nope, I didn't forget. But I don't think to sack Ancelotti will be that prejudicial. Yeah, I mean, we will have to splash £5 million, but Ancelotti is one of the most paid coaches, so I do no think the next manager would have (of course, that's the case if we hire an upcoming manager / an non-hyped manager). For instance, if we hire X for something about £3,5 million on a 3 years contract, then in three years we will have balanced the £5 million we've lost. And to be honest, if there's a mistake made about the Financial Fair Play rule, it is to buy Torres, not sack Ancelotti. I've never said in one season. I know very well that it is impossible to do that in one year, thanks lol. Next season should be the first step. We should start to introduce Kakuta and co in the first team and start to drop Lampard and co. That means the 'old' players (Lampard, Cole, Benayoun, Drogba, etc...) will still have a big role in the team. And then, in two seasons, those 'old' players will start to just have a part time in the team. And no I don't think Porto plays very well juste because Boas is managing them, or because they have Moutinho in midfield. The thing is, Boas has at his disposal the players who suit the way he makes Porto play. Maybe if he didn't have Hulk, Falcao and co Porto wouldn't be that good. But on the other hand, if Porto didn't have Boas, the team wouldn't be so good even with Hulk and co.
-
Yep. And we also should sign Pirlo and Nesta. They will be availbale this summer, and they could have respectively 6 and 3 good years under Ancelotti
-
Our aims for next season shouldn't be to win the Champions League. If that's our aim, then it will be prejudicial for the club's futur. Our aim for next season should be to build a team for the futur, so that's should be a season of transition. Hence, the "X isn't proven in UCL" is not valid. We just need a coach who will be able to make Kakuta, Sturridge, McEachran, etc... turn into world class players, plus who will be able to impose a real style to our team. That's why I don't understand when people are saying that Ancelotti has to stay because no one better is available. That's nonsense in my opinion. We don't need the best coach in the world, we need a coach who has the qualities which we desperatly need. In other words, even if a coach is less rated than Ancelotti, that doesn't mean that he won't be a good coach for us. Plus, Real Madrid and ManCity have proven to the football world that a team full of stars isn't the right way to win thing. In my honest opinion the same is applied to the coachs. And the "Ancelotti should be kept because no one better than him is available" is so wrong to my mind. I believe that's the same thing which happened to our squad. I mean : Drogba, Anelka, Malouda and Kalou are more proven than Sturridge, and are more rated. Therefor, Ancelotti didn't play Sturridge, despite he was better than them while our slump. And I think we are doing the same about the matter of the coach. I don't know if you see what I mean.

Yes we could label Neymar as a little cunt. But if we are doing that it is just because he isn't playing for us. If that was the case, we would find him excuses. To be honest, I bet we have our lot of little cunts in our team, just like every team. But we don't see them because they're our players... I'm agree with SevenXI. The negociations should be ended early in the mercato. Like that Neymar could do the whole pre-season with us and he will learn the english style without being rushing into big games. But I expect our board to wait the middle of august to start to negociate lol if it's true then it's a good news. He is the kind of players we need. And maybe it could be a good omen for this mercato, I mean it could mean that the board is looking for young and creative players. ps : can somebody lock up Pelé in a museum please ? Thanks.

My view on religions : "For years, religions did nothing but divide." There's nobody in the sky, there's nobody under the ground. Both God and Evil are in each one of us. It's just up to you to act in a good way or wrong way. God is for your good side, and the Devil is for your bad side. Though, I believe that what are saying the Bible and Koran aren't bullshit. Those books are just a metaphor. God was created by men on purpose to explain what they couldn't know (the sun, the stars, the universe, etc...). ps : what I can't stand about religions, it's their spiritual leaders. I don't get how they can claim to interpret the Bible/Koran better than everyone.

Very disapointed. Not by the result, because to be honest, ManUtd is a very confident team at the moment, and didn't expect an easy game. But I'm disapointed by how we played. There was a lack of motivation. It looked like nobody wanted to won the game and the league. On the other hand, you have Utd who wanted to win, and they made us look like schoolboys. They deserved this win and to win the league. What bothers me, it's that every times we play against a decent team (I'm not sayin Utd are only 'decent', I speak in general) and puts some pressure on our players, we seem clueless and unable to create an opportunity to score. We are terribly lacking of creativity, we should no longer buy defensive-minded midfielder.

As our manager you mean ? Well, I'm not well aware of all managers out there, so... But I can tell you what kind of manager I want. First of all, to my mind it's the most important thing, I want a manager with fresh ideas and who plays a modern football. Then, I want a manager who is able to introduce youth into the first team. That doesn't mean I want a team like Arsenal, but I want a manager who could do the same with the young player, just as Ferguson and Guardiola are doing. And finaly, I want a coach who inspires his players, who isn't worried to bench the big names and who makes his team play his very own playing style. Basicly, I would like someone of the likes of Guardiola, Boas, or even Jürgen Klopp (Dortmund's coach).
-
I think some people here misunderstand the motivations for which some of us want Ancelotti to be sacked. I don't know if here I speak for every single person who want such a thing, but I'm gonna try to clarify a point. If I - and I think some other - want an other coach for next season, it is not because we end up trophyless or because we failed in 1/4 in the Champions League. Even if we would have won today and thus win the League, I would still be for Carlo out. If he has to go, it is because of the way we end up trophyless, the way we played throughout the season, and because of his youth involvement record. Some members (The Big Drog, for instance) have already well explained the reasons for which we should change our manager, and I also have already explained it. So, as I ain't in a good mood, I won't explain those reasons again, lol. I just wanted to make it clear that the motivation wasn't about trophy(ies).

If he stays, then we should loan Bruma next year to an EPL team. Otherwise he won't get anygame.

Are you serious ?

Wrong sub imo.
