Folks are saying Bran aint a RB even after more than two years at the position for both club and country(has also won RB of the year in the EPL award) yet are happy to state that Luiz is a CB when he`s only played the position the same amount of time that Bran has played RB. interesting.. i personally would let Bran keep the spot as his, with Billy Clifford being his understudy..if Billy don`t pan out there are other options that could be tried out already at the club. if you can`t ever give a kid the chance to become a man then he`s never gonna prove himself to be one...is only a football game we talking about throwing these kids into, not some war where younger kids than these have already been killed. you get 16 weeks training before you go to war,these kids have been training to play just football for 10 years and more. some folks sound like overprotective mums,when it comes to the youngsters in the academy...yet if Billy Clifford had played like he did last year in a shitty league some of those same people would be saying we should spend millions on getting him i`m sure. i love Ferriera for his loyalty to the club but i think it`s got to the point now where like with Anelka and Kalou,he`s blocking the path to the future. when his play these days does not warrant it.

i think Dave meant that he`d rather have a cheaper AJ than an overpriced and unproven in English football player. not so much meaning that he thinks AJ is a better player than those three.

i agree with everything apart from the part where you state no-one is gonna offer 20m for Sturridge. i believe there are several teams that would. but hopefully i am never proved correct on that.

when you consider Liverpool paid £35 m for Carroll. if they really would accept 20m for him. i think he`s gone. fortunately, it`s a tabloid report so in all probability it`s complete bollocks.

i`d love to know who would be Plan B. i`d love to have Guus be our manager for the next say 2-3 years before moving up.but i would feel a lot easier if i knew who is the fall back option. (something i know we won`t find out at this stage i know) i have a feeling it may be a shock to us who it is..like the Grant hire was. maybe that former assistant manager of hiddink and hughes and current welsh assistant manager. can`t remember his name of the top of my head,but maybe him as coach with Guus the DoF picking the players,maybe even the team on match days and the other guy just coaching during the week and making tactical changes during games.

thanks for that..i held off getting help till i was 27 and when i found it..although it helped to a degree..i became acutely aware that by delaying it for so long,it stunted the effect of the work they were doing on me. so if i can help in some small way to avoid other young peeps doing that then i`ll be happy.

i think the real drawback to a player wanting to join a manager-less club is that he would want to know how he is to be used,he would want to know if he`s gonna be in the middle of a power struggle between manager and owner. is he gonna be forced into playing a position that isn`t his natural one. things like that.

Arsenal and Newcastle. Arsenal because they`ve been 3 good players down the spine of their team away from seriously challenging for everything over the last few years but despite them having a ample supply of money they repeatedly neglect to fill those holes..they sell out their ground most games and yet don`t reward their loyal fans by spending the money they make from them on doing things that would give them trophies. Newcastle because the club wants to make money out of the fans but not spend it and because you could ask the city of Newcastle who they would want as their manager out of any coaches in the world and you can bet your house on the top two being..Kevin "the poodle" Keegan or the Messiah as he`s known up there. or Alan "what you mean i`m all elbows and penalties,awaaiii mun,i broke Wayne Bridge`s ankle when Chelsea had used all their subs,can`t say i`m not tactical" Shearer.

i`ve been pretty good in general the last few weeks but slipping a bit now. haven`t long got off the Grand Princess after a cruise holiday...wish i hid on there and was cruising around with them still..they are in the med at the moment. i had a great time in general but it wasn`t easy at times..i`ve had an extreme mood/mental health disorder for atleast the last 21 years and there`s times when i just can`t face the human race. even if it`s just online..i don`t know if anyone has noticed but some days i`m here a lot,other times i go missing for a few weeks.. i used to go out camping in the wilderness for days on end with just me and my old dog back in my younger days,just to escape... these days i`m just trying to hold down my jobs as best i can..part of my disorder effects my basic skills ..for example i love reading with a passion,when i am feeling well i can fly through books, sometimes i have read books of 400plus pages in a single day..just staying in that spot drinking water ,smoking and reading...if i`m going through a bad patch i can`t even read a simple childrens book and in work i have to ask others to read things out to me. i can`t stand being in a silent room on my own,so i play music constantly..to shut out my noisey head. i`ve been on numerous medications but i have to say,for me personally the drug that has helped me most are natural plants ..Cannabis.. i`ve been like this for so long i`ve become somewhat an expert on it and have in the past run several support groups for people with the condition,it took it`s strain on me so i`ve had to take a back seat from it as it seems like sometimes too many people relied on me and seemed to forget about the fact that i am in the same boat as them.(i am talking about a couple of hundred people mind) i would like to state now though if anyone on here is enduring this kind of stuff in silence because of whatever reasons..my door is always open to you and i mean everyone of you...don`t want anyone going through the shit i had to without any help...is terryfying at times, especially in the beginning but there are tools out there that can help you to have a reasonable existence and i can maybe help you out with explaining how these certain things work. i hope none of this applies to you and you all live "normal" lives but please feel free to contact me in PM`s if it does and you think you could use my help in anyway. i am possibly what you may class as an old fart at 35 but i`m not a patronizing turd who will just spew some platitudes at you..i fecking hate platitudes myself. p.s anyone reading this and think less of me or that i`m a pussy . i don`t care about what ignorant people have to say so save the skin on your fingers. your precious taxes you pay,i don`t get any of them and pay them myself and am happy to do so so that people less fortunate than myself can survive.

if you count the first few mickey mouse mini European Cups that they won in the early years.when not every nation sent a club (like Chelsea being the 1st english club to qualify to play in the EC, but didn`t bother ) they have won,what? 9 EC`s? even if he went there and won one with them,he`s gonna be merely a speck on the wall of their hall of fame,amongst the many,many football legends who have gone before him..with us he would be making history rather than the tail end of a long list. putting aside my love of CFC...wouldn`t what we have to offer be more appealing to a hungry to make history player?..we can`t offer him as much sunshine or perhaps wages,but we atleast have that.

comes across as a kid with a good head on his shoulders. which i think is half the battle when importing players from overseas..is not an easy thing for anyone to do,work in a country that is foreign to them,without a strong head and sense of direction..he would never make it..but it seems like he atleast has a punchers chance with us now.

played dutch football for two years from the age of 20-22 including one season in the top flight of a poor dutch team,just so others who may not know that fact aren`t mislead by your claim of having watched him playing "for years" in dutch football.. could name countless amount of players that weren`t that great at 20-22 but became great players in time. i said that he would make a good squad player,in part that was due to the fact that he can play multiple positions for us..has a lot of integrity and good work ethic if every person from asia i`ve known is anything to go by. seems like the kind of player who would still be fighting when we losing games,right up until the final whistle..can be part of a well oiled machine who is also capable of getting goals out of nothing by himself..i can`t say the same for some of our players in both those situations. i wasn`t comparing Honda and McEachran as similar in style of play..just the fact that i believe they would be best suited to play the same position which is not always the same role. Honda can fill in in far more positions than any of our current squad members can (with Cork almost certainly gone). he`s not an all conquering world XI player but i`m not claiming that. am surprised that with all the borderline offensive things i`ve said on here during the last year,that during that time you are the first person on TC who has ever given me Neg Rep and for something as mild as me rating players higher than you do. it`s been 13 years since i was a dutch citizen myself i guess i forgot how serious over trivial shit you guys can be.

when Roman arrived if you guys recall it was like he had bought the club for his son,can`t remember his name exactly,something like Arkan,then the kid just disappeared from view...at times since Roman has owned the club,some of the decisions have seemed like they have been made by a spoilt child..and i`ve often wondered if it was the kid telling his dad..buy me him daddy..etc..

quality player,is good enough for Chelsea(as a squad member),just i wouldn`t play him as a "number 10" as he i think would be better as the left side of midfield in a diamond or in a 3 man midfield,the position that Josh should end up playing....i`ve not written off Yury yet though,i think if Guus returns we will see the best of Yury so Honda would be back up for a lot of positions but i don`t see him becoming a long term regular starter for us,albeit a very valuable squad member.

no need for that..he`s been a pike in a lil pond at those clubs,always wishing he was somewhere else..he`d be like a perch at out club,happy to be there and acutely aware that if he should try it on,he`d get chewed the fuck up by the big fish in our squad. as it goes tho personally,i think we have enough moody enigmatic frenchmen in our squad as it is so unless i knew for sure Anelka & Malouda were on their way out. i`d rather us pass on him and go for a player with a more roll up the sleeves and get stuck in attitude when we are up against it,rather than one with a fragile mental state who shrinks and fades away as soon as the shit hits the fan.

my own memories of Gus. can remember when he was first introduced to the SB Faithful in that big sandy coloured coat..i was right at the back of the east upper and still thought fook he`s a big boy..i guess it was just because we so many little players at the time tho like Ernie,Zola,Jody Morris,Myers etc.. going to a rave the night before a chelsea game against newcastle and me and my mate still being off our faces,Gus scored the only goal in a 1-0 win and me and my mate just getting shall we say "emotional" over Gus to the point where others must have surely known we were off our faces. up at Everton in a 0-0 draw..we couldn`t get in the away end so went "undercover" in the main home stand opposite from the away end...Gus was running to try and stop the ball go out for a throw-in and Richard Dunne flew in double footed on him ,then Gus went flying.totally uncalled for..which resulted in me having a moment of torrets and shouted "you dirty scouse cunts". whilst surrounded by about 9,000 scousers..haha. Dunne got sent off,later on in the game Wise got sent off..and after that me and my two mates must have been steaming because we just spent the last 20 minutes singing Chelsea songs. still havent got my head around the fact we didnt get our heads kicked in that day..i guess they must have thought we were a bit mental or that we were part of a bigger group of Chelsea boys,i dunno.. scored some great goals in Europe and Prem.. he might have soiled himself a lil by playing for the white shite but he`ll always have my love.
