poor journalism was around in 2003 too..not a surprise there. the majority of fans are realistic and understand that we are not the worlds number 1 national team anymore but support the team regardless. just like the Barmy Army have always stood by the England cricket team when they were far from the top..these fans may be rewarded in the future just like the Barmy army are now. i`m not expecting England to win a trophy in my lifetime. i never expected Chelsea to win anything in my lifetime nor England to ever be the number 1 ranked cricket side in the world either. life can be quite exciting and full of pleasant surprises when you expect nothing..i`m sure those who are most down on England at football these days are those who have had too high expectations in the past.

i`ll avoid giving myself a stroke and just dismiss it as complete bullshit!

i should imagine Andre gave him the option...i`m guessing Mikel wanted to play to try and escape from his current private hell for a lil while or because he thought it would be something his dad would want him to do. hope his dad shows up safe. p.s. i couldn`t read the link,for some reason my screen freezes when i click on links..so just going off what`s printed on here.

R.I.P. Stan. my gramp died during the season we won the league for the first time..i always think of that when one of the old `55ers pass away. my gramp was a shed end regular since the early 30`s and on the year we finally became champions of England, he died 2 months before we were crowned. thank you Roman for letting me see my beloved club become English champions in my life time. is why you won`t catch me getting over-emotional over a defeat or who we do or don`t sign...my dreams have already been answered.

that`s how i feel about everyone we are supposedly chasing...and to go one further,i hope AVB gets exactly who he wants,whoever that may be as i have always,whoever the manager is.

i haven`t seen any full games but whenever i have seen clips on SSN, it looks more like a schoolgirls Kung Fu contest than an adult males football tournament.

i heard them say on Ctv during the coverage of the game that they will join up with them..i didn`t catch when exactly that was tho..

a throughly enjoyable pre-season performance...Josh was sensational!!! he may only be 18 but he truly played like a 28 year old and in some cases has even more composure than those players of that age. some of his passes were just sublime. the majority of the team had good performances tho.

indeed..after a quality slick pass from Josh. Bran showed quite an impressive turn of pace on that charge upfield too. All-Bran..because if the opposition try to eat too much of him,they will end up shitting themselves.:eyebrows:

indeed. AVB will be impressed and as CJ Revo said earlier he should be a 1st team regular this season..not every game obviously but i`d say start something like 15-20 games.. as just shown again there good play again to set up the third goal

indeed that should be case..with the fact we have to name 25 players at the start of the season,we could say that they aren`t gonna be in that 25 so rather than having your career almost completely derailed..ala Santa Cruz at Man City! you better sign elsewhere.

priority should be elsewhere for sure,however if we wait till the need is more critical then we could find out that not only will we be even more overpriced than we are already but we might not even be that lucky ,our targets could all be gone. if Lukaku was the only major signing we make then fair enough i`d be as up in arms as anyone,but there`s nothing really to indicate that is the case.

no i don`t think it`s a financial matter..it may not be entirely out of love of the club but maybe their love of playing for one of the best clubs in the world. i do think however fans in general and perhaps more so with our club,try to read too much into what our players,coaches etc..say in the media. stating that they wish to fight for their place or whatever is usual lip service that pretty much almost all players when under contract with a club will say. i don`t see the players mentioned trying to pull off a "Bogarde" they can be an embarresment to the club on times with their girly tantrums and shit but i don`t think they would do that. different situations really anyway..

yeah i`d tend to agree that that is what it must be..doesn`t make much sense for a big club like ours to be any part of a deal like that..could understand if we were a smaller club that is just trying some sort of publicity stunt. but no it makes no sense for us.
