Personally i would pick Kenny O..but think Jose will favour Zouma because he was signed on his watch. For it not to be him i expect Kenny would have to be the star player for Nigeria in them getting to the semi's in the World cup and/or a place on the all World cup team, as one of the best CB's in the tournament. I can see the huge potential in Zouma but as they stand today,i'm not a great fan of his yet.

Like i said if a youngster is promoted to be Matic's understudy like Chalobah then i'm all for it.in a 4-2-3-1 formation tho Mikel as a DM if Matic missed time is alot better option than having Ramires who isn't good at tackling, keeping possesion or passing..Van Ginkel could maybe evolve into the position but is at this point better at the other CM position as is Fabregas. So for those 2 CM positions you have one at DM and 3 to play the other. There's no one really there without Mikel to partner Matic if we want to shut up shop in midfield with 2 DM's Another option would be to bring Oriel back to be Matic's back up..but again not ideal.

If him leaving is to give Chalobah( or someone like Loftus-Cheek) the understudy to Matic role in a 4-2-3-1 then i'm all for it. If that is not the case then i'd rather keep Mikel.he would be good to have on the bench..to cover for Matic and also if we have Matic and Fabregas as our two CM's. Are ahead in a game and want to shut up shop we can bring on Mikel for Fabregas. Matic is clearly better than Mikel but after Matic there is not many better at that role around and even fewer willing to not be 1st choice.

Thought he was good enough to be our 4th option CB with starts in all milk cup games, some fa cups and against some prem and european cup games. The best of our current group of young centerbacks in their current development..hopefully Kenny O is the next man up in our 1st team squad now because Zouma looks like he certainly needs more seasoning before playing for us.

He cleared the bad chapter in his chelsea story book in 2012 that had lingered since 2008 and left at the perfect time that very few players if any others can..how many other players have won a European cup with his last kick for their club? The timing was perfect, it is the clubs fault that they haven't filled his old position with a good replacement(until Costa) but a 36 year old drogba is not the answer..i wish he would atleast become Lukaku's agent-mentor. I do think Lukaku being called a Chelsea fan before he came was a case of him being more a Drogba fan than the club itself.

Croatia is not a cold weather country..it'll be a bit warmer in Brazil but not to the point where they will struggle because of it.
-
It used to be Darren Wood...or as we called him on the terraces Sharon.
-
In a 4-3-3 he does have some value if our full backs are bombing forward he can cover for them etc...but in a 4-2-3-1 there's nowhere he fits in that formation.
-
In a 4-2-3-1 when Matic - Fabregas need time out or are injured we would have Chalobah,Van Ginkel (maybe Tiago) ,Oriel,Baker,Loftus-Cheek..light on experience but what worth is experience if your passing skills are that of a fat kid in the school yard..
-
The 4-2-3-1 doesn't really play to Rami's strengths..i was one of the few who liked the signing when he came but think we are evolving into a team where he doesn't really fit anymore. If they offer 25m then take it already.

Sky sports are just reporting what was misquoted yesterday in online paper sites. No big deal really..but Torres is the elephant in the room who needs to be taken out so young strikers like Lukaku and Bamford can do something worthwhile with all that playing time he gets .

Their current story is a North Korean cosmonaut has just become the first man on the moon...

The World Cup has come at the worst time for Oscar and Chelsea.the flogging he took in previous seasons and summers has caught up with him and i believe he isn't entirely healthy now.hopefully we have an easy fixture list to start the season and he can be rested for a few weeks then.i know he had games off during the latter part of last season but he needs total rest to get totally healed and back to his best.

Can't be many Brazilian internationals with the last name Kasmirski.. I know..his dad his Polish..should make him feel at home in Englad..
-
I did add his one year at guigamp when he scored 19 or whatever.. Costa played from a wider position 2 seasons ago.hopefully he will take less time than Drogba did to become a top scorer in england.
-
He's had 2 good seasons..Drogba had one..two if you count guigamp or whatever the hell they called.
-
Before Didier..there was Mark Hughes who intimidated defenders by more than just skill...minus the sniper shot acting..before him there was David Speedie..
-
Arron Duckling..is his mother called Ugly? I'm off to ask a Napoli fan about Maradona..
-
To simplify his role.it will be as a center field midfielder..there are two types of player that each brings something different to the double pivot for it to work..Matic will be the one doing the shielding of the back 4,breaking up attacks..Fabregas will be the one feeding those infront of him. He's played that role well many of times in the past. He didn't play that role so much from the games i saw him play for Barcelona..tho when they play the same day as us i'm usually in transit coming from our game when they play.
-
Fabregas should play in the pivot although Oscar if he's in midfield in a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 can always come from a deeper position..both formations can be fluid and interchange in games.i do not see him as a threat to Oscar's place atall tho. Having a world class keeper,a solid defensive back four and Matic infront of them is ample to keep the majority of teams we face out and let the other 5 to concentrate on attacking mostly.with just chipping in here and there defensively..e.g. pressing opposition defenders attempting to bring the ball from out the back etc.

Either them or dirty Leeds with Howard Wilkinson.either way they are minging..
-
So much for Jose saying no signings until after the World cup..

I'd rather Shaw but would be content enough with Luis. To reply to the question what would happen with Branislav..simple, he remains in our matchday squad whenever healthy and eligible.Dave will i expect start more games at RB than him but Bran will get enough starts at RB and CB..he will be great cover for both positions and with JT's age and injury history, plus suspensions that is crucial.sometimes injuries are not thought about before they happen but every starter needs a good back up especially since the transfer window era started. Keeping Bran will allow us to keep atleast one of our young stud CB's in the squad, with 3 veteran CB's on the books. Whoever has the best squad wins the league title these days..the days of winning it with under 15 good players are over.

Lukaku,De Bruyne,Courtois and Hazard..maybe it's the media's fault but they could do with some training on how to deal with it. It would have been better for Chelsea to have kept them all at the club last year ,not just Hazard from start to finish and i think we done them a favour in loaning them out for their World cup hopes. De Bruyne was way too impatient and may never reach his potential now,as a great player at a great club..needs to grow mentally. Lukaku and Courtois are due a place in the matchday squad now but not really before.

He's not an obscure youth player we shouldn't need to rely on the opinion of fans of the club he's leaving..he played 8 years in England, mostly as a CM. He played great here.
