I didn't bother to tune into any of the friendlies so far, they are just fitness and training sessions to me and if I run the club they would only be in Europe as that's the only environment our players need to learn to play in..I do recall many times in the past tho some players looking shit hot in pre-season then just plain shit when it mattered and vice versa. I trust in Jose, happy to leave these decisions to him and enjoy the summer relaxing myself.

Proof again that managers claims, especially in the transfer window should always be taken with a pinch of salt.if it's true that we have bid for him then Jose's words about it being Rooney or bust clearly wasn't meant the way many took it. A bit surprised we have gone for another CB tho..thought it would be De Rossi.

Seems like if a defender has good ball control he's automatically thought by some to be someone for our DM spot/s. When it's something that is also needed in our defenders.

Hiddink to become new Barcelona Boss?
Duppy Conqueror replied to Pot Noodle's topic in Football Chat
Probably the greatest manager still working..personally I think he's the most talented coach we have ever had. His age is the only downside, but good if he went to coach any of our rivals. -
So on one side we Don't want him because he's a cunt and the opposition counters with we have already got cunts playing for us we should get another. Jose has shown no indication we want him and in fact said it's Rooney or no one.so enjoy wasting your time commenting on this thread for the next 5 weeks or so.

injuries or ideally lack of them are my only concern with pre-season. player x having a better game than player Z.on a merchandise selling tour, means nothing to me.certainly no indicator of who is the better player.
-
Wasn't the case with Azpi,Ramires,De Bruyne,Shurrle,Ba,Van Ginkel,Luiz,Lukaku,Mata,Hazard,Cahill,Oscar etc... Edit: seems like The skipper already made my point for me.
-
I haven't bothered to tune in.(watching the ashes instead) as pre-season is pretty meaningless to me,just a fitness exercise etc... Is funny how some fans get giddy over it tho..hearing of kdb getting injured not so funny..

Reuben Loftus-Cheek out of the youth who aren't already in our first team squad yet and Nathaniel Chalobah.joint favourites. Out of our first team squad Oscar is the player I like to watch most regardless of age but he's under 22 anyway so I'll go with him.

Roman is coming over for his supper later,I'll ask him then..

Blues Hopes of Signing De Rossi "Wayne"
Duppy Conqueror replied to CHOULO19's topic in Chelsea Articles
I'm pretty sure like already noted,Jose was just talking about forwards. It's also worth noting Jose said 2-3 signings but we have already signed 3 and yet still we bid for Rooney. Nobody should take what managers say as something sworn under oath in court. -
My guess, they are shopping him out for a loan but if nothing better comes up they'll use Vitesse as a fall back option, sometime closer to the window closing.
-
Jose is a smart guy.he didn't fall into the trap of getting into mind games with fergie, like Dalglish,Keegan,Wenger,Benitez..he knew it was best to share a bottle of wine with him, wine and dine and in the most part took the wins instead. He knows he can get into moyes' head and already it's begun. Good thing is that we are playing this within the rules. Rooney told Man U he wanted to leave before we showed our interest in him. At this point it looks like man u have found themselves in a situation they can't win...sell one of their best players to a rival or keep someone who wants to leave their club for a second time and someone who fell out with their new boss in the past and may have again already.

I liked the illuminous Green,Orange etc ones in the 80's ....it was like having hubba bubba feet..
-
I want to play some of you guys at poker.
-
Switch the 2-3 midfield to a 3-2. Oscar playing in the 3 but with the freedom to float between the two and therefore switching the formation depending on the in game situation. That's how you can play Mata,Hazard and Oscar in the same line up.

From the slaughtered lamb pub to a student bar in one evening.that's quite a rapid make over..
-
As he'll probably start most games on the bench it won't hurt to let him have full 90 minutes now. Plus the majority of our midfielders have had less rest post season..

Out of the older black n white ones: Angels with dirty faces The public enemy Scarface ( the original and a lot different than the Al Pacino one) Little Caeser.etc. White heat (as previously mentioned) Out of the colour ones: Once upon a time in america (watch out for the 3 hour 49 minutes version. There was a shorter version made that cut nearly 1 and a half hours off it ,for the impatient faint hearted viewers.) It is similar to Godfather II and also stars R.D.N. Casino Miller's crossing. Carlito' s way. Donnie Brasco. Mean streets. Goodfellas etc... There's others that feature other gangs but just included some that are the Italian mafia related..could kinda add the more modern Scarface I guess, even tho not entirely an Italian mafia film..
-
He has a decent shot and a sound header of the ball off corner, free kicks..but generally plays deeper.we have enough attack minded midfielders tho so doesn't really matter.like already said he has a good long pass too.
-
The 3rd Godfather ain't so good but first 2 classics. I love all the old school gangster films from White heat to Goodfellas.
-
4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 are not the only formations in football nor the only ones we could play..there's 4-1-3-1-1,4-2-2-1-1 etc...too.. but again why get hung up on formations when our players can roam and be more fluid than any rigid old formation.nobody has to be put in an invisible cage on the field where they must stay in only their designated area.

Crespo scored 38 goals for us in two seasons.he never went months without scoring.he was never given game after game to try and break his bad spell.he produced when he was with us. The reasons why he left are not to be confused with excuses for another player I never made nor brought into the conversation. Crespo`s form was simply not the reason he left.his struggles adjusting to English life were.
-
He simply failed to settle.his goals per game ratio was something like a goal every two games. Crespo is a very private person who likes the simple things in life. He listed his favourite things to do outside of football as jigsaw puzzles.to emphasize the kind of character he was...London life and the media was just too much for him. Probably the classiest Argentine to have played in the English premier league and the way we helped him to be happy again was pretty classy too.

De Rossi,Oscar and Ramires I think in a 3 would compliment each other best.that doesn't mean Mata has to play on the wing.there's many different formations possible.
