  1. To make him endure the same treatment he's got at City? Richards needs to go to a mid-PL club where he's going to play a lot more and show that he's actually a pretty neat defender.
  2. A sort of Bale type evolution? I see your point..
  3. Whatever it was, Victor Moses wasn't amused
  4. Is it confirmed his wearing no6?
  5. So.. Got to the match last night soaking wet and managed to miss the goals Great night at the Bridge as always though! The Torres chants have become more and more sarcastic now
  6. Perhaps so. But I still feel for his career even it's better he stays at Swansea for another season, if anything it will enhance his own reputation and allow Swansea to get more money possibly. For him to move to be a second choice, if he's as good as you bill him, at this stage of his career would be a collasal mistake. That's why I make the one season wonder claim, not to doubt his talent but to bring perspective to moving too early.
  7. Off to drink up before going to the Bridge!! COME ON CHELSEA :chelsea:
  8. Bony, imo, needs to keep his head firmly on the ground and have another year with the Swans. We've seen one-season-wonder strikers every season, from your Darren Bents to Demba Ba's. Such strikers often will have a great season then jump a move far too early in their progression, unable to replicate their first season form, and wonder off to a lower league, in a lower competition. Unfortunately it's the agents who runs these players now, so if his agent is more interested in a payday when Bony will be available.
  9. But can he do it on a cold night at PSG?
  10. To clear their wage bill, I think they might.
  11. lmao, what's your point? I stand by how I felt back then, it's a shame he didn't live up to the billing. Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it?
  12. the thing is, if we don't win then there would have been a nose dive one way or another. That's how leagues are lost.
  13. I'm glad if I'm going to a preseason game it's going to be the last one. Hopefully Mourinho puts out a strong squad to warm up for the league. Hopefully he won't put out a weak side to give the big guns rest Up The Chels!
  14. Saying Roman will sack because he done it before is just to easy a way to look at things, I eat a tub of Harbenero sauce a few years ago and I sure as hell ain't doing that again. I'm not saying you're wholly wrong, but you altered the context of this story of sacked managers ever so slightly. While your reasons in hindsight might be true regarding all these managerial sacking let's not cover this in blue-tinted glasses. Roman & the board are ready to pull the trigger on any manager they feel won't be able to dig themselves out of a rout the club would go through. While they can be briliant, like in this transfer window, they have the ability (and demonstrated the ability) to undo it all with sacking a manager. Mourinho won't be a special exception imo. If there isn't silverwear this season, the unfortunately I think the OP was right with the post you replied to, he will be sacked. Mourinho might be special, but in the board's eyes there's Guardiola, Conte and whoever else is going to flavour of the month by the end of the season.
  15. Yeah, we can't exactly mock them for 7 years without one measly trophy then get on their case when they do celebrate as avidly as they do. Obviously it's funny because they use this a pretext to announce how they'll walk the league etc
  16. For the love of god I hope City don't wear those 3 stars on their league kit. It's quite embarrassing considering no-one else has done it.
  17. Wasn't it injury more than Barcelona that fucked him up?
  18. Exactly. People are done with McEachran already but it's because he burst on the scene as a 17 year old. he's not exactly in his twilight years..
  19. & the same after Inter Milan's Champions League win.
  20. Hm, not sure that much. If safe standing were to ever be approved by the Premier League there would be a mass amount of "safety regulations" to ensure a repeat of hillsborough or Heysel doesn't occur
